1. DH and I are highschool sweethearts. We got married after 6 years of dating. We just celebrated our 9 years of being together.
2. I've never done drugs even though about 95% of my highschool friends were major potheads. Nobody ever believes me.
3. I work for my families business as a Floral Designer/Manager/Buyer for our Hardware store, Garden Center, Flower Shoppe & Baby Boutique. (It's a big store! The best part, I get to bring Emery with me to work.
4. I've always been incredibly responsible with money and life in general. Once I had a job, I always paid for my things (cars, insurance, clothing etc) and was a homeowner at the age of 22. I've never had to borrow money from my parents.
5. I find it really hard to relate to many of my friends now that we are married and have a baby too. Most are nowhere near this stage in their life. I've been over the "partying/drinking" phase since I graduated high school. I'd rather hang out at home and watch movies then waste $50 on a few drinks at the bar and run into people I don't care to see.
1. I attended college full time begining my junior year of high school. I had completed all the high school level classes and they had nothing else for me to do except the required half semester course I could only take as a senior.
2. My parents always wanted me to be a doctor and I was accepted into med school...my desire was to become a nurse so by the time I was 20, I was a registered nurse with my first degree. ( of all things I minored in interior design!)
3. I have had 16 surgeries. C-section made number 17. First one was when I was 5.
4. I have monkey toes. I can pick up just about anything with them!
5. My parents are millionaires, though you would never know it, and I am HORRIBLE with money. My dad has always tried to teach me the ins and out of finances but I have no desire to learn it. I do not live pay check to pay check but I love shopping, maybe too much! I am going to retire a poor woman!
@Snoopyluv – Was your grandma Mormon? My BF is Mormon and we
were talking about this one day and she said it’s common for Mormons to say. I’m sure plenty of other Christian denominations say it as well though.
Nope, Pentecostal. I also wasn't allowed to wear pants, listen to secular music...the list goes on. My mom liberated me from that around 13 (I don't think she realized how crazy Gma was) but then she had me convert to Catholicism. So another fun fact- I had my baptism, first communion and confirmation all on the same day.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
1. I was one absence away from being kicked out of nursing school... Oooops 2. I didn't learn to drive until I was 21- and I fucking HATE it! 3. I went on a weird extreme 'diet' once where all I had to eat was Mac n cheese, Reese's cups, red bull, diet Pepsi and beef jerky for 2 months... I lost 20 lbs but was truly "skinny fat" 4. I had a poem published in a book once 5. I've never met anyone who could drink more than I could... Until I met my husband... I've been sober since my BFP and him 10 weeks!!!!!! And I've never felt better
1. Its a long story, but The day DH and I got engaged, I was actually stopping by his apartment to break up then planned to go to DC and find my ex boyfriend because I thought we were still meant to be together. It would have been the biggest mistaken of my life because he's a douche and my husband is amazing. Anyway, DH has no idea about this....
2. I was the captain of my high school dance company and won the best dancer senior superlative... Two kids later, I couldn't do a split to save my life. Sigh.
3. I have a huge scar running about 8 inches from above my belly button downto my pubic bone from exploratory surgery I had for paratonitis when I was 4. When I wear a bikini and bring my toddler to the pool everyone comments on my "c-section scar" (def had him vaginally).
4. I teach at the same university where I earned my bachelors and masters degrees.
5. I legit love to clean. I just hate doing it now because I only have so much time in the day and my toddler and husband are like tornadoes.
"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him." x 2
1. I have a strong aversion to wonder bread. 2. I have always loved animals and have owned dogs, cats, ferret, parrot, fish of all shapes and sizes, frogs, snake, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pig, gecko, and horses. I feel like I'm forgetting something. My parents and brother are NOT animal people. Sorry guys. 3. I come off as a square. People r always surprised to hear I have tattoos, piercings in the past, smoked cigs 10 years and pot longer than that. I like to keep that stuff only know to people close to me. Back when I worked in retail I never smoked at work when people would go outside to smoke. 4. I'm basically a bleeding heart liberal 5. I never wanted to get married or have kids. One day it just happened I decided I wanted kids and luckily DH decided at the same time. We got married a year later and got pregnant 3 months later. We were very lucky.
1. DH and I got married 2 years before our traditional wedding. Our families still don't know. I think that's why I was fairly well relaxed for the whole thing, or it may have been all the booze...
2. I met DH at university on the first day, he was my orientation tour guide. I later guilted my friend into backing off of her chase for him so I could pursue him. I made the first move the day after he walked me back to my flat from a night out, he drunk texted me that if I liked him I should make the first move as he's too shy.
3. My junior year of high school I was dating a guy who was a senior. He was dumber than a fucking box of rocks. We were very close to breaking up and didn't want to deal with him the next year, so I wrote the research paper required for him to graduate and then dumbed it down to sound like he wrote it. I then took it from him when we broke up, right before it was due.
4. When I was dating that same guy (before it all went to hell), he sat a very important test to get into a military/government program. I went with him to the director's office when he took it. The director knew he was too stupid to pass it, so he left us alone and I took the algebra parts of the test for him.
5. DH is a fantastic husband and father, I wish I could be as good as he is. I have the worst temper in the world, he is the exact opposite and keeps mine under control as much as possible. I've only seen him cry twice, once when LO was born and the other was when we were first dating and he was drunk, crying worrying about me leaving. He's never been drunk again. After my shit past relationships, I feel very lucky to have him.
6. As a fastpitch pitcher, I hit many girls on purpose. My motto was if I'm gonna hit em, I'm gonna do it where it hurts and make it count. Again, I have a bad temper. Suppose I probably shouldn't pass that on to my players...

3.) I have a dog named Eric. He is half maltese, half lhasa apso.
4.) The first time I tried to drive in London I crashed our car straight into a skip (or "dumpster")
5.) I got the chicken pox when I was 29. Oh my god it was awful.
Aww...my dog is a Maltese. They are great dogs!
I had chicken pox when I was 2, but it was only a minor case. I had one pock mark in the middle of my back. But when I was 27, I got shingles. It was the worst!

So much that I will go days without sleeping so I now try to avoid it. 3) I have OCD only when it comes to keeping my house clean and have this weird obsession of always having to have dishes in the dish rack. I seriously need help

I loved being a Pk. In high school my favorite thing was to go to Pk retreat.

1. I bought a camaro in college and flipped it before I even had it a month. I walked away with nothing but scratches. (Lesson: always wear your seatbelt) 2. I used to summer swim in the same league as Michael Phelps. Him and my brother were on the same year round team and shared a hotel room for meets. 3. I'm much more confident, but much more introverted since having kids. I'd just rather be at home. 4. I broke 2 ribs in a snowboarding accident in college. I also got lost snowboarding in Switzerland with friends, we had to hike 4 hours and then hitchhike back to the ski resort. 5. I used to think I was going to meet and marry Jonathan Taylor Thomas. I wrote him a letter and was certain he would write back. He didn't.

I got lost snowboarding, too... but in Vermont. We also had to hitchhike back to the resort and we missed our buss back to our hotel (college trip). We then had to hitchhike again back to our lodge.
And I used to swoon over JTT, too!! I wrote him a ton of letters hahah
1. I love learning about the crazies (serial killers, mass murderers, sociopaths in general....) I just don't understand how they can cross the line, but is want to figure it out
2. I was born in 1989, so Marilyn Manson was big when I hit my teens - I was obsessed. For example, his real name is Brian Hugh Warner, Hugh was his grandfather's name, and he was born in 1969. I still adore his music, and if I didn't feel like shit @ 8 months preg, I would've went to one of his concerts.
3. My hubs and I were each others first, but we went our separate ways and didn't get back together for 10 years. He broke off his engagement of 7? Years, and I broke off mine of 2 1/2 to get back together.
4. I graduated both high school and college with my associates with honors and a 3.7gpa.
5. Growing up, I never wanted children. LO was "made" on DH's birthday January 17th after deciding we did want kids

Omg! @acethebase SAME here relating to your number 3! DH thinks I am insane!
1. I need to be in control of every aspect of everything in my life and I don't like change. Butttttttt LO has changed that significantly and it's hard for me to get adjusted. 2. I was charged with a felony of terroristic threatening in high school for pulling the fire alarm as a prank. 3. I've had the same best friend pretty much my whole life. We went to the same babysitter, I started going when I was 2 months old, so since then I guess lol. We have never had an argument that made us stop talking to each other. 4. In the past 3 years I have become a HUGE homebody. And I really enjoy it! 5. I'm a surgical tech and sometimes during big procedures there's chunks of fat/tissue all over the place and I LOVE squishing it around my fingers. I also love the way cauterized tissue smells.
1. I am a pastor's kid and h is a pastor as well. ( assistant youth pastor).

Let's see... I feel like an open book so I'm not sure where to start.
1. I attended one year of community college. I was too preoccupied with boys/moving in with DH and getting white girl wasted so I "took a year off" and never returned.
2. I started hanging with the wrong crowd and getting into a ton of trouble in middle school so my mom enrolled me to volunteer with a Horses for the Handicapped program. It made me fall in love with horses and ASL.
3. I rode horses for over 5yrs and only paid for lessons one of those years. I did lots of odd jobs around my barn for free lessons. I did a lot of shows (hunter/jumper) and frequently brought home blue ribbons, help break a stallion, ride an ex-race horse over 4ft jumps, and frequently took a horse to a park and rode him while he swam.
4. We are "half-back"ers. I was born and raised in Ill. for 8yrs, lived in S.Fl until I was 20, and am now in GA. DH is originally from NJ and we met in HS down in Fl.
5. I had a m/c at 18, lost DD1's twin at 21, and had a m/c last year. Each loss has stuck with me and hurts me just as much as when I tragically lost my uncle, grandpa, and cousin. I have a gut feeling each loss was a boy.

I was a barn rat too! Remind me one day to tell u about my swim with a horse emergency.
1. I have been through a robbery. When I was 18, the Pizza Hut I worked at was robbed. I started out as the person that had the gun pointed at them and was led around, until they realized I couldn't open the safe.
2. I, too, was in a sorority all through college.
3. I have survived being repeatedly molested as a child by 3 separate people (one a close family member) and being raped in college. I decided I didn't want to be a statistic any more, after the rape and have worked hard to turn my life in a different direction. I am very untrusting of people, however, and I want my child to be taught to protect themselves way better than I was able to.
#iwillnotbeashamedofwhatothersdidtome
4. I achieved my National Board Teaching credentials a year ago in the field of special education.
5. With the birth of my son, here in Washington, we are a family that is all from the west coast. I was born in CA and my H was born in OR.

Wow...you have an awesome outlook! Props to you for being so brave and confident!
ETA: And congrats on the national boards...that's quite a feat!

The first time I got wasted, I was roofied and gang raped... I never reported it, although I had intentions to and even took photos on my laptop of all the bruises on my body (long since deleted since all they ended up doing was remind me)... I still remember their faces and dream of using a baseball bat as a drum stick on their skulls. I feel bad that I fall under the statistic that never spoke up. I will do everything in my power to protect my daughter, including teaching her to protect herself
Fun! I love seeing what you all do for a living! Here goes... 1. DH and I met because a girl iny HS was impersonating me on the Internet (back in the AIM days) by using my picture but her name (without my knowledge). 2. I (not so) secretly wish Kate Middleton was my BFF. 3. There are 6 years between my older sister and I because it took 6 years of failed IVF to create me! I was then born 8 weeks early via emergency c section due to placental obtuption and a priest gave my mom last rights as they were cutting her open. She's survived but my parents stopped at 2. 4. My BS is in Dietetics but I currently work in Operations for a large privately owned fitness and wellness center. 5. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to own a dog (though I love them SO much) because I'm still not over the death of our family collie, Winnie, who died in 2008. Love her.
1. I choked out a very large man that was trying to hurt my friend. I hung off of him like a spider monkey. Probably not the best idea.
2. I never took the acts or sats and didn't think I was going to college.I went to college and loved it, and graduated summa cum laude.
3. I am published in the journal of parasitology. Yay for squirrel fecal parasites.
4. I volunteered for hospice during college, and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
5. I was supposed to go heli skiing in Alaska this year, but sawyer has derailed that plan temporarily. Maybe next year?
The spider monkey thing is cracking me up! I have made my career working at hospice. I agree that is is very rewarding. Personally I could not do what you do. I cry and have to turn the channel at those stupid Sara Mclachlan commercials about abused pets. My hats off to you!
@flutterby00 I'm intrigued about your dad's family! We're you raised Amish as well? Did your dad break off or did you? I used to work with a "bad Amish" as she described herself. She was vegan and used a computer at work (and drove there!) but said she didn't use electricity at home except a radio with batteries during bad weather.
My dad "broke off" although there are many different types of Amish, and their sect was less judgy judgy and accepted their choices. My dad migrated towards being Mennonite, a less conservative version of the same religion, and I was raised in a Mennonite church, although a very liberal Mennonite church by their standards. Lol at "bad Amish"!
2. I have a black lab/Aussie mix fur baby who brings so much joy to my life I would be lost without her! I always make sure I take time each day to snuggle with her.
I have a chocolate lab/Aussie. She was indifferent toward me until she ran into the street when we were moving and was grazed by a truck and I was her caretaker after her vet visit. Luckily she had very minimal injuries. Now she follows me room to room. Here's a pic because I love her coloring. Her name is Cammie and she's pictured with Fred on the left and his son Jack. (We also have a yellow lab and a hairy white mutt.)
1.) I have a heart tattoo on my pinky. 2.)I love Disney movies 3.) I ran (in a car) from a cop when I was 16. Still ended up getting pulled over and blamed it on the guys with me and got let go with a warning. 4.) worked at a bank that was robbed 3 times in one week and that was three years ago. 5.) I was voted prom queen when I was a senior and don't know how because I was so shy and didn't talk much.

My dad is my bestie. Lol
You should get the cow. We loved the experience. DS learned a lot about responsibility and mostly appreciation for his food. I have a love hate relationship with my chickens. But I love that they eat bugs in the yard and I don't have to use tons of big spray on me or DS. Over half of our chickens free range, the other 20 are our layers and they live in a big coop.
1. I met my husband through an anime chat forum talking about new and old shows

3. I played on a boys hockey team and was their goalie. I was pretty great goalie
4. I'm working on donating my hair for the third time and since my hair is so thick and grows so fast I donate as close to 40 inches every three years. Yes I then have my hair super short like a mans but it feels so much better than having all that hair.
5. I'm a human walk through for FfVIi becuSe I've played it so many times when I was a kid.
I'll play, even though I'm late to the game. I've had a clingy baby the last couple days from four month shots on Friday.
1. I won't eat fried chicken off the bone. I'll eat it if someone takes it off, but otherwise I gag.
2. I have two tattoos--one on my lower back that's a crescent moon, stars and swirly things and another on my ankle that's a cross with "sorelle" written. It means "sisters" in Italian and my sisters and I all went and got them together.
3. I've known I wanted to be a mom since I was young and used to play house with my dolls. It's even better than I imagined it. We already talk about having another, although we won't even try until she's about a year due to IVF and insurance details. However, due to my pcos, I'm not on bc right now and we're not preventing.
4. I have a two full sisters and steps siblings on each side. The stepbrother snd stepsister on my moms side are super close, don't even use the "step" to identify each other. The other side has a step sister and two step brothers and we don't even see each other, let alone call them siblings. We all went to school together and are so different and just don't mesh well.
5. I love to travel, but absolutely hate flying. I get air sick almost every time, but not from nerves. I'm not afraid, my equilibrium is off and I'm super sensitive to that and barf. It's annoying and embarrassing, although I've gotten pretty good at ninja puking--so silent, even my husband who was sitting next to me didn't know I did if! Now that's a talent

1. I've always wanted to be a doctor.
2. I can still turn a cartwheel.
3. I have ingested MANY tabs of ecstasy.
4. If you touch my belly button, I get nauseated...ditto for my Achilles' tendon.

@Amjoy25 We would have gotten along back in my coke and E hayday.
I knew we were meant to be when you started drinking before noon. BFF's?

My inner ear hates me too. I have a whole routine before I fly : Sinucleanse and Dramamine before the airport, affrin before boarding, earplanes during take off and landing, and I make sure my seat is as close to the wing as possible. Works every time.

Here goes...
1. DH and I met because a girl iny HS was impersonating me on the Internet (back in the AIM days) by using my picture but her name (without my knowledge).

4. I have a two full sisters and steps siblings on each side. The stepbrother snd stepsister on my moms side are super close, don't even use the "step" to identify each other. 5. I love to travel, but absolutely hate flying. I get air sick almost every time, but not from nerves. I'm not afraid, my equilibrium is off and I'm super sensitive to that and barf.
