I searched first and didn't see this! With all my nurses, techs, and family talking about what they are getting their kids for Christmas I started thinking about expensive things.
What do you splurge on for yourself? I personally buy expensive make-up and hair products. I'll get everything else for cheap but not these things and I hoard make-up. I also can't do a cheap haircut. I've done it and then spent three times as much trying to get it fixed. What about you?

Re: GTKY: What do you splurge on?
I found a place in town that the lady will do haircuts for $10. She's been doing hair for 20 years. My husband has been going there for several months, and she does a great job. I don't get in enough for hair cuts, I've been going to the beauty school that my cousin helps run. However...I'm taking the plunge and going to Kathy in a week

Lastly, we spend a lot of money on food at my household. DH is a big health nut so we try to buy organic/or local, and same goes for a lot of other household items (everything is paraben free, SLS free and phthalate free).

@megs12914 & @goldenb I totally splurge on makeup too. Have either of you tried birchbox? You put in your preferences and they send makeup samples each month for like $10ish a month. I find it a fun and inexpensive way to try new stuff I wouldn't normally think of!

@goldenB I can't go to either place with DH because he would flip out. The one time I did he was like, "How did you spend $200 on 5 things?!"
I said, "Umm easy. It could have been worse. A lot worse."
And food. I'll spend way more for good organic fruits and meats and find other ways to cut corners.

And I also only buy the good TP, but I stock up when it goes on sale so it doesn't feel like a splurge.
