Remedies for a cold

Has anyone got a cold sold since getting Prego? I have a sore throat, mild cough, nasal congestion , and just plain run down. My OB gave me a zpac but I'm trying g to avoid actual meds to help with symptoms. Has anyone tried natural home remedies to help? I've been drinking lots of water. Just kinda wondering what other ppl have tried. Thank you!!! :)

    I got my cold last saturday and I think I'm finally at the end. I boiled a pot of water and then put my head over it with a towel. Drank lots of water and oh heated powerade in the microwave and drank that (I don't really like tea all that much). Oh and my sister said to boil water with lemon and garlic but that didn't sound like something I wanted to do. lol. Hope any of that helps!

    I got a terrible cold very early on and I've had annoying sinus since the beginning and I'm now 10 weeks. I use a lot of Vicks.:) Vicks on your feet at night with socks is amazing. It really does seem to draw the cold down and out of your body. Saline sprays I used very sparingly in the beginning when I just couldn't breathe at all! The neti pot is a good standby to use too. Your body produces a lot more mucus with you are preggo though so I try to look at it as a good thing! Hopefully it's helping baby's environment!
