BLAH RE visit!

So the RE did a urine test to see if I was pregnant and of course it was negative but he decided to do a blood test just in case although he was doubtful. We are taking a month off Clomid to do another HSG for me and SA for DH. We just don't want to waste the Clomid cycles and I think we need to focus more on family and the holidays right now. Of course 30 minutes after we left the RE's office, AF came in like a fucking flood! POTATOES!!!! After lots of tears, we talked about how we will move forward if everything is okay with my HSG and DH's SA which the RE is pretty confident everything will still be fine. Once we use up our 4 cycles of Clomid that we have left, we realized that we may not be able to do IUI or IVF due to my health issues, finances and DH's work schedule so we are considering local closed adoption. I know we are thinking ahead but I think it's easier for both of us to cope if we have a long term back up plan. I don't want to move on to cycle #18. I don't want to have a back up plan. I just want to be pregnant. I see all these stupid idiots  that have kids and should'nt and it pisses me off. I know there are tons of people who have it way worse then I do so thanks for listening to my pity party rant. Love my SIF ladies!!!

Re: BLAH RE visit!

  • Uh... Big bummers. Well it looks like we're all on team BREAK CYCLE this month. At least we're all in good company. I don't think the repeat testing is a bad thing at this stage, you never know if anything has changed, and it's good to be on top of that shit. What if you're doing all these Clomid cycles and there is a problem with your tubes? Best to just rule that out, andplusalso don't forget the rate of pregnancy is super high the 2 cycles following that HSG, so maybe it'll be for the best!

    Hugs

It was actually my decision to ask for more testing because like you said, I would hate to use up all the Clomid cycles if we have other issues going on again. I got pregnant with DD the month after an HSG so I'm hoping for the best but ready for the worst. Thanks Mrs C!!!
