I hope it doesn't snow tomorrow because I plan on waking up early and going Christmas shopping. 95% of the items I purchase tomorrow will be for myself.

Today, we're having a dessert/cookie exchange I work. I bought this from Harris Teeter last night and when I got home noticed that it expired on 11/29/13. I'm still bringing it, cookie cake doesn't go bad right???

Flame away. Lately I have felt envious and resentful of couples who conceive easily and even have fun in the process and don't have to spend thousands of dollars to get pregnant.

I am pretty sure I get SAD. It is affecting Aiden this year because I do NOT want to leave my house for anything, and he is 100% NOT a homebody. The flameful part is I refuse to do anything for it because when I was medicated for my anxiety in HS I had thoughts daily of taking my own life. I never want to feel like that again so I absolutely refuse to take meds for depression. Can it just be spring already?

I feel bad about this one, but I have a really, really hard time liking my mother in law. She is mentally ill, combined with the fact that she is an eccentric person to begin with. This morning she came for a visit and proceeded to wear her dirty, wet snow boots right into the house. She was carrying around a dirty Kleenex that she kept blowing into and setting directly on the coffee table. She was trying to get Kate to kiss her directly on the mouth, even though each time I reminded her not to. She brought one of my husband's old Swatch watches with a loose battery for Kate to play with. Why she still has my husband's old Swatch watch is another story-she is a hoarder. Anyway, I have tried for the 13 years I have know her to be patient, reminding myself that she's got mental issues, she's my husband's mother, etc., but in the end, I really can't stand her. I feel guilty about it, though.

I'm sorry @jessalynn521. If you think it's SAD can you get some vitamin D chewables to take? I think that's supposed to help some.

Isaac is around 4 months right? I felt so, so awful and sad at 4 months pp with Emery. I looked around online and saw that 4 mo pp is a common time to start really feeling the blues. I also didn't do anything for it, but I wish I had started counseling back then rather than just recently, back in November. Is that an option for you? Talk therapy can really do wonders for dealing with things head on. ILY, I hope you feel better soon.

I have plans to see my BFFs newborn tomorrow that I want to keep. But I've had a sniffle for 2 weeks and haven't been sleeping well. It's hard to say if this is sinus pressure from cold weather systems or an old fashioned cold. I generally feel fine during the day though so I still want to go. I would be using hand sanitizer and not kissing on the baby regardless because I remember what it was like.

Would you let me in or look at me like Typhoid Mary and send me away?

I would send you away before you even got through the door. And then I would sanitize the driveway where the wheels of your car touched. But I'm crazy like that.

That's what I thought. Ugh, if only I could sleep I know I'd be feeling better by now. Ok I'll talk to her and if I'm not 99.9% better tomorrow I'll postpone.

Funny thought, if I try to hydrate tonight and not drink at DH's holiday work dinner party they will all think I'm pregnant again. That's what gave me away 2 years ago!
