We are having a hard time with names.. We will probably have a short list and make the final decision once we meet him. At this point Weston and Blaine are our top two. We also like Grant, Bram and Harrison.
I am thinking of a double middle name also. Only because I want to use a family name from both sides of our families. Thinking about Finnley Louise Hemmingway Swisher....but that is a mouthful!
My other idea is Eloise Hemmingway SWisher... Of course these will probably change 10x before baby arrives
We aren't sharing either but I figure it's safe here! Our boy will be Nathan Christopher K____. We'll call him Nate :-) MN is my dad's name.
We were both *sure* the baby was a girl (on the basis of nothing, just a feeling) so it took a while to come up with a boy name. Our girl name would have been Charlotte, which I had been feeling less excited about lately because it is becoming very, very popular in our area...it's still a lovely name, but I think I would have been a but less pumped to use it.
Of course Nate is moving up the New England charts, too, so who knows how we will feel about it a few months from now :-/
We would've named our girl Eden or Everly if we didn't stick to A names for girls and E for boys. Our KIDS refused to change tradition. It was funny. And sweet.
DH isn't 100% sold on Sullivan James, but I am in love and having a hard time thinking of anything else I like at all. His sister (who he does not get along with) has now joined his mom and aunt in sending him daily name suggestions since they know he's on the fence... Knock it off, ladies! I wanna have the bitchy response of, "if she wants to name a baby she should grow one!" and I know that is not going to help my cause! Sigh.
If we had a son, I really wanted either a Clark or a Kent :-) but we are having a girl. Now, hubs is trying to incorporate Lana or Lois in the mix, but it's a no go.
We had decided on Kylie Anna... however my husbands granny passed today and his grandpa was given only weeks to live and they loved the name Delilah. So maybe Kylie Delilah? What do you girls think?
@hcam0707 - the other night I dreamt we named our baby Finnegan! I thought maybe it was a sign and told my husband but he said it was too Irish with our Portuguese last name.
If we have a girl she will be Pearl, boy is undecided - I like Alex, Sebastian, Nico, and James!
Our precious little girl will be named Adalynn Claire Brunco! Clara was DH's grandmother's name, so we made it a little more modern and we both love it!
We're naming our daughter Caroline Courtney. Courtney is my maiden name. We both agreed on the name a long time ago, and we both love it. We were struggling big time with boy names though. One of the first things DH said after we found out she's a girl was, "thank God we don't have to think of another name!" Ha! This name business is way harder than it looks.
We are having a boy His name will either be Dawson or Mason I'm going more towards Dawson, but for some reason I call him Mason more. We will see when we see his precious face!
We are having a girl, her name is Victoria Louise.. Victoria after her dads aunt that raised him and passed several years ago and Louise (we are nerds!) our favorite cartoon character lol!
Rogue237@thomas930 It's funny because my husband and I actually had a discussion over the fact that logan isn't actually part of the characters real name the other day in the car when talking about names. A friend of ours is actually using this as her boy name as well.
We've been trying to work in our interests to the names but most of the ones we like are super popular now or too unique for us.
@playingonadream Right, it wasn't he legal name. He took on Logan as an alias after is was forced to leave his home, but I'm pretty sure it was the name of his biological father.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
thomas930 exactly. Either way, I really like the name Logan. its strong yet simple. The one thing I always disliked was that people nickname James to Jim. I think it is a great choice!
SimplyRSVP that's how we landed on Xavier for a boys name but its such a mouthful. We also liked Lincoln so my husband could call him Link as in Zelda's Link. We also considered Bruce but that is my uncle's name.
Our daughter will be, Mariella lee And it's pronounced. Marie-Ella not Mary-Ella My mom has always called me bean. So she has come up with the nm ellabean.
What do you ladies think of more than one middle name?? We are having a girl and have already settled on Michaela Isabelle (Isabelle was my Nana's name), but I also thought it would be nice to incorporate my middle name, and SIL's middle name into another middle....it would be Raelynn.
So in full: Michaela Isabelle Raelynn Greig??? Too wordy. DH thinks she will just drop the second MN no matter what it is.
My DD has two middle names. Eden Caroline Afua N. Her sister will as well. Their second middle name is their day name (Ghananian tradition).

Ethan John
Or
Kate Elizabeth

I could see that being a silly nickname or something he has for her, but a name??
I'm afraid if I keep hearing him call her that it's going to start sounding normal.
It doesn't even rhyme...
Right?! This has been bothering me!
DHs name is Ray and my parents actually suggested the middle name. I'm so glad they did because I love it now.
If we had a son, I really wanted either a Clark or a Kent :-) but we are having a girl. Now, hubs is trying to incorporate Lana or Lois in the mix, but it's a no go.
My husband and I just realized that we have a cousin and a niece who have the middle name Olivia, and he has decided he doesn't like Chloe anymore...
BACK to the drawing board :
>:PI am very Irish (we had a St. Patrick's Day Wedding) and we loved the name Finnegan!
If we have a girl she will be Pearl, boy is undecided - I like Alex, Sebastian, Nico, and James!
Clara was DH's grandmother's name, so we made it a little more modern and we both love it!
DD1- 2009, M/C- 2011, M/C- 2012, DD2- 2012, DD3- 2014

Our boy name was Leopold, I just adore it!
