What do you call your kid?

Do you have a NN for your lo(s)?

DS is Rooster, DD2 is Muffin, DD3 is Goose, and DD4 is Beans. I often call them by these names IRL when referencing them. DH says I'm wierd. I say he's a jerk.

    Yes!!

Tonight I said "I have to pack Goosey and Beanie's lunch box" and he said I needed to stop before they went to kindergarten and told the teacher their names are Goose and Bean.

  • Rainys nn is Boogie, and dh and I both call her that with both sides of our family. Winter doesn't have a nickname yet, but I'm sure she will.

When DS was little I called him Snuggle bug. Now I call him Bubba (or sometimes Bub rub)

DD has been called Baby Sister a lot. We refer to DD as Smelly Brother too. Sometimes we call DD Baby Bee but I don't think we use NNs for her as much as DS.

We call dd2 baby sister a lot too, and now when people will ask Rainy what her sisters name is she tells the "sister Elizabeth" instead of Winter Elizabeth. I think its adorable:)

  • We call Luciano: Luche (spelling?), Luchie, and, at times DH has taken to calling him LuLu. When he was a newborn he was Luciano "poopypants" Lastname.

  • DD is Pumpkin belly or PB for short.  When my oldest niece was little she started calling papa's farts fluffys and DD takes after dada and papa in that dept so sometimes we call her fully butt or stinky butt.
  • NM of the moment is boo boo head. It changes weekly.
  • Bob and Ronnie.

Neither of those nicknames are derivatives of their actual names, we just think they're funny and they stuck. I call them Bob and Ronnie more than their actual names.

    Sophia- Sofaloafa, ladybug, Gus, Soph.
  • Another monkey here, or sometimes El (short for Eleanor). She pronounces her own name as Nonnie, so sometimes we say that too - I worry about that one actually sticking and I'm not crazy about it, although it is adorable when she says it herself.

  • Little dude, dude, bro, little bro, buddy, Big D, boy, son, meet meet, poop butt, stink pants, etc.

We use dude and bro most often when talking to him.  Meet meet gets his attention. Only the grandfathers call him Big D.  We refer to him as son when he does something disappointing (aww, son!) and as boy when talking to the dog (go see Boy!).
