Cow's milk or formula to supplement after year 1?

Hi. If someone here had been in a similar situation please let me know your thoughts. I have been dealing with a (diagnosed) low milk supply. I know there aren't many mothers out there that have a truly low milk supply that they can't work on, but I have been working with a lactation consultant etc, so I don't need advise on boosting up my milk supply. It's as boosted as can get. Currently I pump every 3 hours getting 2 oz altogether. My baby is nearing year 1. My question is, what's better to supplement the baby with, formula for toddlers 1 year& up? or cow's milk. I know cow's milk is filled with hormones and other crap, but formula is all chemicals, so I am at loss to what to choose, how much and how to introduce it. :(

  • Sorry, this is the forum that popped up for me when I clicked new subject, I hardly ever post.Thank you for the tip, however asking a pediatrician is quite obvious and I am going to bring it up on the 12 month visit, also asking the lactation consultant but I wanted to hear opinions from mothers who are interested in nutrition if there are any here. USA is known for still pushing cow's milk in crazy amounts on kids and adults, pediatricians sometimes follow those forced guidelines. Anyone tried goat milk or other kind of milk in supplementing breastmilk?
