Hi kjf114 and all the other January SnowDrops!

A little about me and my DH... I'm 31 and DH is 36. We were married in September 2011 and starting TTC in November 2012. Unfortunately, we suffered 4 miscarriages in 2013 all conceived naturally (one with the help of Follistim). We starting seeing an RE in July 2013 after the 3rd m/c but unfortunately we haven't had any success yet. I'm at RMA NJ and they seem to think I have an egg quality issue since most of our testing was normal (DH has 1% morphology and I have a slight thyroid issue).

Anyways this is IVF #1 (w/ICSI) for us. I'm currently on BCP and the plan is to stop the pills on 27 Dec and start stims on NYE. ER is tentatively scheduled between 11-14 January depending on response. We are most likely doing a freeze all cycle so the embyros can undergo PGD and the hopefully schedule a FET for February based on the outcome of the PGD. I'm excited to start this journey with you awesome ladies! You've alll been so helpful and supportive already!

QOTD: I'm not really a fan of shopping but I love purchasing Christmas presents for my family. I spend a lot of time trying to pick out unique gifts for them and I love watching them open them!

Hey everyone,

I'm Erin, 34, have PCOS, and have been with my RE for over a year now. My husband is 45 and has low T, which is managed with Clomid. We got pregnant on the first medicated cycle and had an ectopic. Ever since then, my cycles have been terrible - poor responses, no success.

I'm on BCPs until 12/21, then starting stims on Christmas Day!

QOTD: I'm definitely looking forward to the holidays - it'll be a chance to relax and destress. It's also our first holiday in our new house!

Looks like I am joining y'all. History below. We are scheduled to go in for our cycle scan/start stimming on 12/31 (starting BCP today). First IVF cycle.

QOTD: We are having a quiet holiday this year (no travel due to not being sure about what we would need to do/timing of everything). So, I guess this year I am most looking forward to not having to rush around and visit family.

Yay for starting check-ins!

I am still waiting to start BCP for IVF w/ICSI #3. I am 14 DPO and should get my period in the next few days.

A little about me for those that don't "know" me and can't see my siggy. My husband and I have been TTC since Aug. 2011. Our diagnosis has changed a few times, but the jist of it is that I have naturally low progesterone, hostile CM, high NK cells, and probably some egg quality issues (Oh and I am a carrier for CF, but that doesn't affect fertility). My husband's SA looks good except the last one showed slightly low morph.

We've done 4 IUIs (3 with clomid and one unmedicated) and 2 IVFs (one agonist or "long Lupron" protocol and the other agonist/antagonist conversion protocol). Our first IVF we only had 6R, 5M, 3F and none made it to transfer on day 5. Our second IVF we had 8R, 7M, 5F and had one make it to early blast and was transfered o day 5, which ended in c/p.

This IVF will be another agonist/antagonist conversion protocol with increased stims. I am also planning on doing CGH testing on our embryos, but we are planning on doing what my clinic calls "hindsight CGH." This means that we will biopsy our embryos on day 3 and transfer as usual on day 5. We can then decide after the cycle whether or not we want to do the testing. I will also be doing intralipid infusions for my high NK cells and I am on some supplements that are supposed to help with egg quality.

Boy this turned into a book.

Good morning Snowdrops!

I just got the green light yesterday to start IVF/ICSI #2. I am still somewhat new around here though so this is my first group.....which I am so excited to be a part of. I don't know the name of the protocol exactly, but I believe it is similar to a long Lupron protocol but with Estrace instead of Lupron so that I have the option to do a Lupron trigger due to previous OHSS. I will be starting the Estrace in a couple weeks. And I am waiting to set up my scheduling meeting as we speak but imagine my ER will be mid January. Chances are high for a freeze all with a late February or early March FET.

My biggest stress with this round is the triggering and ER. I had moderate OHSS during my first round and have the option of either a Lupron trigger or half dose hCG. I am still not sure which to do, but I am so grateful to have an understanding RE.

QOTD: I LOVE the holidays!!! We host Christmas Eve and I am looking forward to being distracted for the next couple weeks while I am preparing.

We are scheduled for FET #1 in January. Just waiting on AF to start Lupron and then we'll get the official dates. Looking forward to FET being less injection-heavy than IVF#1 in October.

QOTD: I'm most looking forward to this year's Ugly Sweater Party at our house, which we do with friends from college.

Hi Everyone!

Thanks to our check-in leaders for taking that on! And for managing all the badge polls!

My Intro:

I am @Manada and my partner is @healz413   We are doing a partner IVF cycle (H's eggs in my uterus) - and this is our second attempt at it.   Our 1st cycle was cancelled in December because of poor response, so we're going to do another kick at the can and hope we get more eggs recruited this time!

Our ultimate goal is to get enough embryos frozen so that we have a shot at getting both of us pregnant at some point, but we know that things are always up to chance.

We're in the Prep stage at this point, I am on CD1 today so I'll either start BCP or Estrace this week (not sure yet), and H will do a BCP & Lupron overlap when she gets her period (hopefully next week sometime).   We expect to start stimming around New Years and will be looking at a retrieval & fresh transfer the 2nd week of January (I think).

I'm a little confused about which protocol we're on this go around. We'll be stimming with Gonal-F and Repronex - but I'm not sure if it will be a short Lupron, or something else... We were doing a straight antagonist cycle on our first try -- but with the lupron overlap I think we might be headed toward something else.

QOTD: What are you looking forward to most about the holidays?

I'm looking forward to the time off work!   I work in a university so I get 2 weeks off over the holidays while it's closed. I love that part of my job... and I'm really looking forward to the down-time.

Hello everyone!

This will be IVF #1 for us. We had our "teaching" appointment with the nurse yesterday and we got our schedule. We are doing a Lupron protocol. I have been on BCP since early November. I will be starting Lupron December 26th and taking my last BCP on January 1st. We will also be using Follistim. If all goes well I will most likely be having ER/ET the week of my 30th birthday (hopefully that will give us good luck).

Hello snowdrops!

I will be doing my 1st FET in January, with a transfer possibly on January 6th. I have been on Lupron for almost a week and my BCP stop today. I go in on the 20th to start Estrace.

A little about me if you don't know me - I am 29 DH is 32 and we have a low count issue. My first IVF ended in a BFP, but m/c at 7w in October. I have been benched ever since. Started taking Folgard to treat my MTHFR issue, and I am hoping this helps.

I'm so excited to get to know you all. I wish everyone the best of luck. Can't believe it's already time for January check-in!

Yay a January check-in!! Thank you for our check-in leaders @KJF114 and @Twinkie0612

For those that don't know/remember me, DH and I have been married since May 2011. We starting seeing an RE in November 2011. I have DOR from cancer treatments when I was 7 yrs old and DH has been dx with MFI and low testosterone. He has a history of testicular torsion and removal of one at the age of 13. Our 1st RE gave us such a low chance of conceiving and did not want us to pursue treatments but offered Clomid as a last minute thing just to try to get me to stop crying in her office. We then moved on to our current RE who is absolutely amazing and I really believe she will be able to help us.

This is our first IVF cycle (and hopefully only) and we will be doing ISCI and PGS so it will be a freeze all cycle. We plan to transfer in February or March, god willing we have normal embyros. I still haven't gotten my calendar yet but I am expecting any day now. I'm currently priming with Progesterone and Estrace for 14 days and then I got back in for a baseline when AF starts. We are planning that to be either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day!

QOTW: I'm so looking forward to just having some time off work. This year, my DH has some amazing gifts that I can't wait to watch him open. Apparently I have a pretty special one too. I also LOVE all the decorations and lights. I think we should just keep them on all year round

Hello! Thank you to our leaders for the check-ins and the new siggy.

My update/history is below. I will begin Lupron the day after Christmas. Still awaiting a new ID number from our new insurance starting in January. This will be IVF #2 and our final attempt in our IF journey. My ER and ET will be sometime in January...but need to wait for a more specific calendar. I am on CD 7 now. I am still prayerful and find such support through this board and 3TC. I wish everyone a successful journey and I can only wish that we can all move over to PAIF at the close of our month.

QOTD: I am a teacher and look forward to the 2 weeks off at the holidays this year and time with my husband. This will be our 2nd Christmas together!

Hi Snowdrops

I am always so excited to join a cycle group! My history is in my signature. I have started down reg for our second FET in mid-Jan and we have had two fresh IVF's before that. If this doesn't work we will be changing clinics.
QOTD: I am having all of January off work and am looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the warm weather (I'm in Australia). I plan to exercise, watch TV, bake, catch up with friends and generally have some 'me' time

I hoping really hard that I'll be a January snowdrop. This will be FET #1. We've already done 2 fresh IVF cycles. The first was unsuccessful, the second resulted in a blighted ovum and D&C.

I should get AF before the end of this month, then I'll go on BCP for 3 weeks and then jump into FET protocol. That puts me at a transfer before the end of January. Hopefully it works out that way.

Hello All! I had my ER last week for IVF #1 and will be freezing all tomorrow. I'm anxious to hear how many make it to freeze. My FET is scheduled for Jan 29th-ish (thanks lab closure) so hopefully I am actually a SnowDrop! QOTD: I love everything Christmas! I'm most excited for lots of baking, spectacularly ugly sweaters, and lots of celebrating to keep from obsesssing over the calendar. ETA: Good news today! 21 embryos made it to freeze! I will get grades tomorrow and results from the CCS in a week or so.

Hi Everyone! Having a real heck of a time with the bump and/or IE11!! I'm excited we finally got our badge and started our group.. however this has to be my last group and our time to shine. Never thought our journey would ever take this long... prepping for FET #3 which is scheduled right now for a few days before our 2 year wedding anniversary!

Little Intro- DH & I have been together 8 years/2 married. We started TTC a few months after our wedding.. 3 failed rounds of Clomid after being told the problem was me not ovulating.. lead to getting a referral and then we got the shock of DH SA to find out it was so severe that IVF/ICSI was our only option. May/June went through my first IVF.. I have PCOS and did have mild OHSS. (E2 @ trigger was 12,000) so that cycle ended in bffn. I almost never froze the embryos but day of I changed my mind.. best decision we could have done. Here we are going on FET 3 after 2 back-to-back miscarriages.. RPL Panel/Genetic testing came back that I have 2 bad copies of the MTHFR c667t now on an RX vitamin to hopefully help this. I still am very anxious because there is no definite in this. Never thought our road would have so many twists & turns.

QOTD- I'm looking forward to having off of work from 12/24 to 1/3.. we have 4 Christmas's to go so it will be really nice seeing the family. Also, planning a few snowboarding day trips before transfer to get some winter fun in.

Hi ladies! I would like to be added, please!

Like @looneylife, I should be doing a FET at the end of January, but I might fall into February. I'm just waiting to get my period so I can get started on BCPs.

We just did our second IVF. We are mostly unexplained still but I seem to have some egg quality issues. We just found out today that they froze one Day 6 blastocyst they'd been watching so I'm guessing that's what we will transfer next month!

As for Christmas- overall I can't stand this time of year (stress, cold, horrible traffic, IF), but I do like having time off work (I'm a teacher).

Looking forward to being part of this group!

My detailed history is in my siggy, but in short, we are MFI and will be doing our first IVF w/Icsi in January after two failed donor IUIs this past fall. Right now, I'm on BCP and am still awaiting my exact protocol/dates. I expect to be starting Lupron just after the first of the year.

QOTW: It sucks, but I'm not really feeling this holiday season. I don't feel like dealing with shopping crowds or loud family gatherings. BUT I did just DVR an ABC Family holiday movie marathon this past Sunday, so hopefully watching some of those will get me more in the spirit.

Hello ladies!
Well DE FET number 2 has begun. I've been in BCP for a week and will start my depot lupron on jan 2nd. Then estradiol valerate on jan 17th. My endometrial scratch is set for jan 9th.
Transfer is scheduled for jan 31st so looks like I will be at the tail end of this month. We have six embryos left and I'm really hoping after my first BFP in sept ending in etopic we can get another BFP and have it stick!! We found a blood clotting disorder so we will be starting me on heparin the day of transfer. Also will have a intralipid infusion for the high nk cells. Good luck to everyone and I hope we can give as much support as we all need!
Qotd: I look forward to having a little time off and my sister comming to stay with us. It's always nice to see her since she lives very very far away in Saudi Arabia!

Thank you check in leaders! I'm so hoping to be a snowdrop, but it's not official yet. I am waiting to ovulate this cycle to start estrogen priming for IVF w/ICSI #2, and will then wait until my cycle starts to see if I'll miss the lab closure and get to start stims. So I'm a snowdrop for now if that's ok

For anyone on mobile, I'm 28 and DH is 29. We've been married for 6 years and started trying 6/2012. We are DOR and MFI. We did two unsuccessful IUIs while I was waiting on DHEA and then had a failed IVF cycle in November with 5R, 5M, and 4F where 1 stopped growing and the other 3 were abnormal.

Hi everyone. Nice to "meet" you.

My partner @Manada already introduced us. We're doing partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). She has DOR and I had a bilateral salpingectomy and have stage IV endo. We are using donor sperm. We have been TTC for a year with an RE's office. 7 IUIs, multiple procedures, a lap surgery, and one cancelled IVF cycle later, here we are getting ready for (we hope) our first (and we hope our last) IVF cycle.

Today is M's cycle day 2 so she's starting on BCPs. I'm on CD20 of our cancelled cycle and hope to get my period in the next week to two weeks, at which point I will start BCPs on day 2. I have a prescription for provera that I'm to use if I don't get my period by CD35. On approximately day 8 of BCPs, I will start on lupron. M will start on estrace at a suitable time depending on when I get my period.

We're doing the lupron long/down regulation protocol with planned gonal f 300 and repronex 150.

We expect an ER around Jan 18 (depending on lots of things at this point, but mainly when I start my period this cycle) and then we hope to do a fresh day 5 transfer into M.

QOTD: M and I are making presents for each other this year to save money and I'm looking forward to how what I make her turns out and to finding out what she's making me. I'm also looking forward to holiday food.

Hello everyone!

This will be our first IVF and I am really excited to join the group! My computer, the bump and the badge are giving me fits right now, so the badge is there, but I will have to resize when I get home from work.

So DH and I have been together for over 10 years, married for 6 and will have been actively ttc for 2 years this January. I love the irony of the first IVF for us. We have had 3 losses from natural bfps - everything else has been a bust (clomid+TI 2x, clomid+IUI 2x). After seeing variable FSH numbers creeping over 10 and signs pointing to DOR, the RE suggested we go all in for IVF in January or February. I work at a college, so I am about to have a boatload of time off, so we figured January was the best! Plus, why wait any longer!!

Currently, I am CD24/11dpo on my natural/retesting cycle. We anticipate AF this weekend and then I will have my exact dates and will start bcps. I should start stimming with the week of Christmas or the week of New Years.

QOTW: We are hosting our first Christmas. Usually we travel to see family, but since I will possibly be starting injects that week, we decided that it would be best if we stayed home...so the family is coming to us. I am most looking forward to decorating my house. My grandma passed away in 2011, but I had always got her ornaments and lenox holiday items for Christmas. Those things were left to me, of course, but this is the first year that I get to display them. It makes me feel like she is here with me - and that means so much given what we will be starting this holiday season!

Hi ladies, sorry I'm late!
A little about me: I've been married to DH for a little over 3 years, together 6.5. All my fertility history is in my siggy. For those that are mobile, I've had two losses, diagnosed with a genetic disorder, and IVF #1 in November was cancelled due to no healthy embryos. I'm hoping that 2nd time around brings us some healthy embryos! I start Lupron injections on the 27th and then stims on Jan 6th. Egg retrieval should be the end of the week of Jan 13th. It can't come soon enough, but thankfully we have the holidays to keep us occupied. I'm currently just on BCP.

QOTD: I'm looking forward to spending time with family since we live out of state

Hi all! Just found out I will be a January Snowdrop (if you don't mind my joining

) This will be our 2nd (?) IVF....our official 2nd was cancelled back in Nov. So, I'm considering this my 2nd! We'll just skip right over that cancelled situation!

A little background from me: We have a combo of issues. MFI and prolactinoma for me. we did our 1st IVF in June. I didn't have a terrible response then (see sig) but none made it to freeze and it resulted in bfn. We took a few months then started another cycle in November. We ended up getting cancelled due to crappy response. My follicles tend to mature too quickly which my RE believes is affecting the quality as well. I recently started taking metformin, so I am hopeful that it helps. We also have a new protocol. We'll be doing the antagonist protocol so no bcp's, no lupron. I will go straight into stims when I start my cycle in January. I feel good about it though because it is different than what we have been doing. I'm really hopeful for better results this time around.

QOTD: I am looking forward to my husband's reaction to a few of the gifts I got him. Concert tickets and some other fun things. Normally I am terrible at keeping secrets but I have done really well so far so I think he will be suprised!
