Our Announcement Video!

A friend of ours helped us make this stop motion video to publicly announce our pregnancy! The video says coming June 2014, after the video was made the dr changed my due date to May 31, though I know it is likely that the baby could actually be born in June. Who knows! Now to try and come up with something for the gender reveal...

I'm sorry? What's wrong with this being my first post? I read around but have never had much to contribute! I am due May 31, 2014 and my DH and I are very excited to welcome our first.

We're all almost half way through our pregnancies...we've mostly all been here since the beginning and we have gotten to know one another.

An intro would have been nice as your first post on our board.

Actually we made it when I was only 9 weeks pregnant, so I wasn't even showing! The dress is just more fitted at the bottom and kind of bubbles out in the middle.

Well I apologize for not doing this correctly. I am a second year teacher but starting at a new school in a new grade so I don't have a lot of time that I spend on the computer. I've always wanted to get on here and join in, it's just a little intimidating when, like you said, everyone has gotten to know each other. I figured the best way to join in is to just jump in. Figured it was a little too late for an introduction post. I suppose I assumed the best way to get to know me is by me just joining in.

we sent out announcements in the Christmas cards, nothing as creative as this though.

It's kind of funny, I never did post an intro, I just joined into discussions. And the reason I never did an intro is because some people in the UO's said how much they hate intros and they don't read them, and it seemed to be more of a PO from the way most people agreed/loved the post. Haha. Can't win I guess?!

ummm being a teacher doesn't mean you have less time than anyone else who works full time but whatever.

And it's not that she didn't post an intro, it's that her very first post is to AW her announcement video. It's just a little strange.

Whoa! I'm sorry if I came off that way! I didn't mean that at all! I'm so sorry if you felt that I meant it that way. I just was simply trying to say I didn't make the time to post on here. I know that there are women who are much busier than I am that still post on here. Listen- I'm sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way, I have posted on The Knot and The Bump before. However I posted when my DH and I were TTC and once we got pregnant, I guess I just got so wrapped up in things I didn't think about posting or commenting. I have certainly been reading posts though! I come here for lots of answers and for encouragement for women going through the same thing, I suppose I just never had anything to contribute. Now, I wanted to become more involved and I'm sorry that you think I did it the wrong way.

well, technically she probably has way less time for this than me and i work full time, cause i dick around on the internet all day while i work.

At the risk of pissing people off....I think ya'll are the ones being a little weird. Everyone complains about intro posts, so she skipped that...WHO CARES?!

Ok, I don't want this board to become grounds for an argument! I understand that these boards are a tight knit community and I understand if some people found it weird that I just posted out of the blue without ever commenting on anything before. I see both sides, but let's just end it. My feelings aren't hurt! I'm ready to be more present on the boards. I just hope there are no hard feelings anywhere. We are all pregnant and happily awaiting the arrival of our little ones. Thanks for everyone's comments on the video!
