  It was the second time he kissed a girl on the cheek. Punishment doesn't fit the crime, but what is the school supposed to do?

  When I was that age...if a boy kissed me on the cheek...either I would have found myself a "boyfriend" or would go running to my friends for a cootie shot.  And if it went to the teachers I cant imagine more would have been done than a name on the board or at most a note/call to mom and dad.

  Uh, then the little boy DD hung out with on Saturday is in big trouble in a few years. Jack and Eliza sitting in a tree and all. He totally chased her and kissed her on the lips. Us moms and friends thought it was adorable. DD was giggling a ton.

  Can't believe this was on Fox News--this is actually the small town in Southern CO where I grew up and where my mom still lives.  It was on the local news station (I saw the story on FB) but I had no idea it had made national news.  

  
  

  I think it was blown a little bit out of proportion--the actual story was that he kissed the girl on the cheek one time and the hand one time (two different occasions).  I get that they are enforcing a policy that means well, but I guess I don't agree with how black and white they are making it--he wasn't sexually harassing the girl.  The little boy doesn't even know what sex IS--this whole incident made him say, "what is sex, mom?"  I would be interested to hear from the girl and the girl's mom, too, since the boy's mom said it was consensual, they are "boyfriend/girlfriend" and it was innocent.

  When I was 6 I kissed a boy on the playground. Then he passed me a note that said "I want to have sex with you." I showed it to my mom, who showed it to his dad, who took him out to the barn and explained to him that what the horses were doing was sex. After that he didn't want to have sex with me anymore. The End.

  In 1st grade there was a boy in my class who was talking to me during reading circles, at one point he asked me if I knew about sex or what it was. Our teacher overheard him and asked him where he had learned that. He said he had watched the movie titanic with his parents and they made him look away because there was sex in it. He was also a playground kisser in our school. He didn't come close to ever being suspended. I think the school is overreacting.

  I will admit...I was one of those that saw it in the theater more than once.  I think I went 3 times. I was a freshman in high school.  We would sit in the front row and wait for the guys we were with to react to giant boobs.  Then we went when it was in the theaters in 3D.  That guy bouncing off the propeller was so much cooler in 3D
