I can't remember the last time I enjoyed going to bed

Just a vent...

Pre-pg I loved me some sleep.  I was good for a solid 9 hours that moment my head hit the pillow.  About half way through my pregnancy I got horrible congestion that kept me up at night. Then it was horrible headaches and of course there was the general discomfort and insomnia of the third trimester.  Now I dread going to bed because I know I am getting up in the middle of the night to feed DD (which I am happy to do) and then to pump (which I HATE).

When oh when will I ever get 8 hours again????

  • If you hate to pump in the middle of the night, why do you?

I supplement with EBM due to latching problems and slow weight gain.  Unfortunately I don't get great output from the pump.  The middle of the night pumping yields the most milk and it is also helpful that DD is asleep and I don't have to tend to her.

  • I pretty hate to pump period - night or day.  Who *likes* pumping??  I do it to give ds some bm so he gets some of the benefits of bm.
