Damn it to hell! (Update: rfred20 in L&D) update 3

I WAS supposed to go in for my induction tonight at midnight, but apparently the hospital is "busy". BOOOOOOOOO. Sorry. I just needed to rant.

Update 1: Arrived at the hospital at 3:15am. I've been started on the gel stuff. Just kinda a waiting game now to get started on pitocin. Will update when I can since I don't have a labor buddy.

Update 2: Started on pitocin around 7:45am!

Update 3: Have had pitocin dosage upped several times. Now dilated to about 3-4 cms. Doctor just came in and broke my water. Made sure to get the epidural prior to breaking my water!

They said they'd be calling and give me a 1-2 hour warning. My doctor said to basically pester the shit out of them, so I'm planning on calling again in 30-60 minutes, since it's been about an hour since she first wanted me to call.

So sorry youre going through this! It appears December is THE month for having babies. When DS was born last Tuesday, my hospital was at capacity with 22 babies. They had all rooms full!

Ha! Last Tuesday was my birthday! But yeah, that seems to be the norm at my hospital too as of late November and thus far for the month of December.

Called again at 11pm my time, and still no beds.

I guess I can try to get some sleep? The L&D unit said they'd call if beds opened up, so at least that's good. But I don't like being on call like that.
