GTKY: Wedding pictures

I have a friend that's getting married in April, and I'll be 7 months pregnant, which will be weird considering I haven't seen most of these friends since my wedding over 2 years ago (everyone moved all over the country after college).

So now I'm thinking about weddings and want to see everyone's wedding pictures! So post a few of your favs!!!

This is my favorite from our wedding two years ago. We had our reception in a park district building and I wanted to go up on the dusty old balcony for a few shots, the photographer used this crazy time lapse thing to get this picture. We had to stand like this for so long!

I have a few that I love! We had an amazing photographer!

Sidenote: the last one is from the dad/daughter dance. We danced to "that's amore" and he had a fake drink he would "pour" into my mouth after he spun me. It was so out of character for my dad everyone loved it. One of my very favorite memories I will cherish forever.

I loved my dress. It ended up being a little chillier on our wedding day than expected, but it wasn't bad in the sun, and still totally worth it.

So hard to pick just a few. DH was a little embarrassed about sharing our xmas pic on here so I agreed I won't post more of him close up. so here's one long shot from the ceremony. I love that you can see everyone holding up their hands in blessing! And one shot from my formals at the reception venue (For some reason the second one I can't adjust the size, so I'm leaving that as just an attachment):

We had a courthouse wedding 8 years ago, and this past year, my husband and best friends surprised me and had pretty much planned a vow renewal ceremony for me/us. I got to do the fun stuff (dress shopping, decor shopping and planning, etc) but they had already secure the date, venue, our pastor, etc. I had always wanted a wedding but with two kids and just life in general, I put that dream on the back burner. Anyhow, here r a few pics from our special day...it was such a dream come true. I get teary eyed just thinking about it

Here's the pics I stole off my photographer's website (thus the watermark on all of them). It's been 2 years since our vow renewal (had a courthouse marriage before DH deployed the first time) and I still haven't gotten around to ordering prints. BTW, I was 15 weeks pregnant with DD when we had our vow renewal...

@joules235 I wore my grandma's brooch too as my something old. My grandpa bought it for her in Japan in WWII and it even has the original receipt with it. We've all worn it for our weddings. This is a pic of my mom putting it on my dress:

We got married at the beginning of May in 2010. It was a terrible day - wind like crazy, close to freezing, and SNOW. The power in town went when two trees fell on two different hydro lines, so we had no power at the church or the reception hall. A few friends came through with generators at the church, and a few others pulled some strings and got us the ginormous emergency generator for the reception hall.

In the end, it was a beautiful day for us even though the weather didn't cooperate!

This thread is so nice but leaves me with some sad feelings too. I never had a standard wedding - we got married at the courthouse. Then I regretted it, so we had a semi-formal ceremony in Vegas later that year. But it was kind of a disaster and I don't like to think about it much. I never even ordered prints. I have one snapshot that a friend took, which I've attached.

Despite my wedding regrets, I count myself SO lucky because here I sit 8.5 years later with the best husband EVERRRR, and we really love each other and are happy

Oh, and I've decided to throw a ten-year vow renewal ceremony at which I will wear a fancy dress and work out all my repressed bridal fantasies.

I held it together my entire wedding day and didn't cry... But when we got our pictures and I saw how my son was looking at me as he walked me down the aisle, I lost it. Cried like a baby.

the second one was a spontaneous dip by my husband, but I'm sure glad he did it. It's one of my favs. Great thread!

This is my favorite picture of our wedding day. Our wedding was just over 3 years ago. DH deployed 3 weeks later for a full year. Was a very interesting first year of marriage.
