Recommend your humidifier

I like the one we have bc it is tiny, has a light that doubles as a night light, and makes a soft white noise but it is basically dead after a year. I should look maybe that is the life of humidifiers. I also don't want a filter they are a pain to clean. Thanks!

Re: Recommend your humidifier

  • I can tell you one I do not recommend. We have a Sharper Image one that I hate. It does not have a filter and does have a light, but it does not come apart and stuff builds up on a part that is almost impossible to clean. I have to use a toothbrush to get in to the space and can't get it all clean. I think it's just from our water, it's not mold or anything but it still bugs me.

  • Chiming in on one I'm not happy with.  We've got the crane drop shaped humidifier and it's also a pain/impossible to clean.  The opening is not big enough for anyone's hand to get in to actually clean it.  Definitely factor that in when purchasing!

We have the same one. While it can be annoying to clean, we found a flexible brush works really well on it. Otherwise we love it, though LO does tend to run away with the top white part...
  • We have the Crane Animal Shaped one for my daughter and love it.  Th opening is small, but I have never found a reason to have to reach in to clean it.  We rinse it out and dry it (air dry) daily and clean with a humidifier cleaner weekly.  Also, I recommend throwing in one of those filter balls to keep it clean without having to deal with a filter.

Same here. All cranes are impossible to clean. Unless your cool with slime inside little crevices that you cant even clean with a q-tip
