Fake Babies

Today I was shopping and I saw a bunch of young girls with carriers. I was thinking wow so many girls with young babies. Then I saw one of the girls drop hers, and the rest of the girls started laughing. I was horrified until I realized they were the fake babies from the high school class some girls take. Then a lady walks by and asks if my baby is real or if I am taking care of a fake baby like the other HS girls. Yes my baby is real, and no I am not in HS but I am turning 24 soon but thanks. Those fake babies creep me out. Did anyone have to take care of one in school? I did with an egg, but not a fake baby.

I always saw people in movies with fake babies as a school project. I wanted to do that so bad, but we didn't do it.

On a positive note, you look young which will be great in 20 years.

I took "care" of a fake baby in HS. It wasn't very lifelike, though, and when it cried, you just had to stick a key in its back til it stopped. No figuring out what it needed. It did wake me up a few times overnight, but obviously it wasn't much like actually having a baby. I think the newer ones are a little more realistic.

We had to take care of a sack of flour. It was weird but I liked the idea of taking care of something.

I did the fake baby thing like 3 times in high school.  I loved it.

My husband had to take care of a fake baby in high school. He mentioned that all he had to do was swaddle the baby to make it stop crying at night. Nope, not very life-like.

I had to do it! I actually thought mine was broken....it wasn't. It cried ALL night!
