When to Jumperoo?!

Has anyone started their Jumperoo? LO is sitting well in the Bumbo, hates laying down, constantly moving feet, etc. It seems like a great time to start the Jumperoo. However the website says that the age range starts at 6 months.
Thoughts?

Following. We're actually buying one today and my only concern is his feet aren't quite long enough to touch.

DS daycare provider put him in it yesterday and then texted me a pic. He loved it and she said played happily for 15 minutes in it. She just tucked a blanket behind him for more support. I am probably going to pull ours out this week. Oh and he will be 12 weeks on Tuesday

It seems pretty early to me. DS1 didn't start until 5 months per pedi recommendation. She said that their legs/hips are not ready to withstand any weight. I will probably do the same for DS2.

Just set up my jumperoo last night and put dd in it. Dd is 9 weeks old. She liked it and it kept her entertained for at least 20 min! She can hold her head up for the most part but a blanket around her helps. Glad I can use it now as it's another option for her for entertainment.

I've also been told that you shouldn't leave them in it for more than 15-20 min total per day (also related to development).

I'm also holding off until about 5 months. I am really looking forward to it. DS played happily in it every morning for 20 minutes or so while I ran around getting is ready to leave the house.

I have one and have been wondering the same thing. LO is 11 weeks and I've been told it's too soon for her to use it. A friend of mine posted a picture of her baby in one and he's the same age as mine and looked super happy. I think I'll give it a try once she's 3 months.

My in-laws tried putting DS in theirs yesterday. He loved it, and lasted about 20 minutes in it. DH is currently building the one that we bought for Christmas. We'll see how he does in it. He's 3 months today, sms really big for his age.

We are getting LO one for christmas. She will only be 3.5 months so we will probably wait till she's at least 4 months.

dd and ds1 were about 6-7 months. They were both so short that we had books stacked so their feet werent just dangling. We will be waiting with the twins as well.

Even though she has good head control, I'd rather wait until her hips and back are more developed. She's 3 months now and I'll probably wait until she's 4 1/2 or 5 months. Then again, I know she'll love it so I might break down and use it at 4. But I also won't use the Bumbo because I've read that it can be bad for their development.

How can stuff like this mess with their development? Obviously if they are in it for extended amounts of time that isn't going to be good on their little bodies, but what's wrong with them playing in it for 15-20 minutes from time to time? I'm genuinely curious. We have a wellness visit Monday so I plan to ask the doctor then, but thought maybe one of you would know the answer.

Also @kimberlymacrae I just noticed your nails in your picture and it reminded me....

It's random but my first week back to work my nails were obviously not in the best shape. Putting on a fresh coat of nail polish wasn't at the top of the priority list. Some client at work, mind you he was a male in his I'd say sixties, said to me "Wow, your nails need done." I was so pissed! First of all, you're a dude why the eff do you care second of all I have other things to worry about. I said Yea have you ever tried to paint your nails and give them time to dry with a three month old?! It's almost impossible.

You answered your own question. There isn't anything wrong with short periods.

During my maternity leave I never did my nails... but when I went back to work I make sure to do mine every Sunday. By doing my nails I typically get one hand done and bring the polish with me Monday morning and finish the other hand and touch ups all week. Meh, life of a mommy.
