I brought ds home yesterday and cluster fed from 7pm to 430 am. When I tried putting him down he would wake up almost immediately and start crying again. Sometimes he would stay sleep for like 5-10 minutes in his co sleeper but wake up crying. He will only sleep in my arms or in bed with me. I remember someone posting that their newborn would only sleep on them or in bed with them but then posted later that baby was finally sleeping in his own bassinet. Anyone know the poster or in the situation and found a way to get their lo to sleep in their own space? Hoping to find something that works soon. Thank you ladies

Journey Complete.
What eventually worked for us was keeping up a routine. We would get her ready for bed (bath, feed, swaddle, feed, rock, bed). She would usually stay there for 5 to 20 minutes. Then we would repeat the rocking and/or feeding. We would try 2 to 3 times and then usually bring her to bed.
One night it just clicked and she slept for 3 hours in her crib.
I'd say keep up the bedtime routine and when it fails, do what you need (safely) to sleep.
Thank you ladies for your responses! I finally got him to nap at like 1130 this morning in his swing I just had to make it swing a little faster and he liked it. Went to the pediatrician today and he slept great in his car seat so I might try that again. Hopefully I can get him in his co sleeper soon but till then any safe sleep is fine by me
As for the cluster feeds, he also did this a few times when we got home! They were BRUTAL, because he has a terrible latch (a whole different story). Just hang in there, it will get better! I didn't believe anyone when they told me that, but we are at almost 3 weeks and sleep is much, much better.
