NBR Addressing Christmas cards...

Ok, so I'm doing up my cards and I have a few where the couple has different last names but also have children. For my other cards I'm doing "The Smith Family" but for these I'm not sure what is appropriate and I can't for the life of me remember what I normally do. This is NOT the first year I've sent cards haha I think I maybe just addressed it to the two adult names?! I have no idea. 

So would I put like John Doe and Jane Smith and Family?  The "and" twice seems weird. 

What do you guys do?

    I would just use their first names and leave the last names out of it. That's what I've done before.

    So do you put Jane, John and family? Or just Jane & John?

    Either are fine. If you want to be formal you could put "and family" but if your envelope is smaller I think using their first names are acceptable. It's a Christmas card so I'm sure people know its for the whole family. Inside the card I always write everyone's names though.

    Oooh. THAT is what I used to do. I used to write all the kid's names in the card. This year I'm using the pre-printed photo cards (I know, I know) so that's why I'm all flustered about it. haha 

    Next year I'll get cards I can still write on! Thanks for refreshing my memory! :)

    First names and family (John, Jane and family) or full name of closest friend and family (John Doe and family).

    So I neve forget (and never have to do it by hand) I have a file on the computer to just print labels every year...

    If you want to follow the "rules" I think "Mrs. Jane Doe and Mr. John Smith and family" is the formal way to do it.
