BF at Target

This just made me laugh today... I am strolling around Target in the baby section. There is a mom with an infant crying so she just pops a squat on the floor and begins to breastfeed. I have no problems with it, I just found it amusing and while I think I would never do that, maybe that will be me in a few months lol

There was a glorious window where DD was still small enough to hold in one arm, but good enough at BFing that I didn't need the other one. I fed her walking around all kinds of places.

I put a blanket on and nursed DD walking over the bridge in Pittsburgh. It wasn't fun, but she was a complete mess and I needed to get back to the hotel ASAP.

I have BF in target many times. I usually sit in the dining area. When my son was 6 months we took a trip to Rome and I fed my son at all sorts of crazy places. In front of the pantheon, in the coliseum. Babies need to eat often and you won't always be somewhere convenient.

In Portland we have shared table seating at most the restaurants. We were outside for lunch and DH was shoulder to shoulder an the woman whipped it out no cover.. I'm a tit man myself so it was hard not to stare at her giant jugs!

Well, she didn't cover at all...I got an eye full myself. But, I just smiled at her and pushed my cart lol I did buy myself a cover already & just need to make sure I always have it with me!

This is why it plan on useing the pump sometimes, I have a hard time getting in a bikini so I know I couldn't breast feed in public.

I've totally done that before. Also while holding him in my arms and walking around the grocery store pushing the cart with my elbows- now that one was a bit tricky!

My friend had her first baby in April earlier this year, and it was so warm that she just lost all shy feelings and tossed aside the cover and never looked back

She fed LO in a crowded restaurant, in front of strangers at a garage sale, and when we were shopping at Old Navy - she keeps LO in a baby bjorn - she slid her top down and nursed her while she browsed

She's my bf'ing hero!

I'm pretty modest too. I watched a great documentary on Netflix all about America's somewhat skewed ideas on breasts and breast feeding; I think it's called Busting Out.

I work in a hospital and sometimes i'll walk into a room and the mom is just completely topless, baby hanging off one boob...yes, I know the baby is eating and its natural blah blah blah...but while i'm trying to converse the only thing going through my head is "WHERE DO I PUT MY EYES???"

Not sure I'd be sitting on the ground in a Target, but that has more to do with nasty dirty floors for me. I'm skeeved out just thinking about all that grossness that hasn't probably been clean since they opened.

But I'm with pp, ever since I've made the decision to attempt breast feeding every time I see a mom doing it I can't look away. I almost want to go up and ask her if there are any tips I should know!
