    What are you doing?:  temping

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks:   It's been more than 2 weeks, so AF should hopefully be showing up pretty soon if my previous trends decide to mean anything.  But I guess it doesn't matter much either way.  Since I'm leaving on the 18th, I'll likely not be home during my FW for next cycle so it doesn't even matter.  Probably going to have to wait until Jan/Feb cycles before trying again if that's what we decide to do.

GTKY: My family doesn't celebrate christmas.  So I'll go with santa brought all the gifts since neither existed.
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.

    GTKY: I don't celebrate Xmas either @EllyD14.

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: Not 100% sure these OPKs this AM were + or not. Yesterday's (both AM and PM were GLARING +). Thoughts?

I grew up in a blended family, although I wouldn't consider it blended, we're simply family. Anyway, 2 of my brothers were always with us on Christmas Eve and at their mom's on Christmas Day. So Santa always knew that he had to stop at our house on Christmas Eve morning to deliver gifts so that all of us siblings could open them together. Each of us had our own "pile" of gifts that weren't wrapped, but our stocking with our name on it was in front of it to make sure everyone knew where their pile was. On Christmas morning, my brother and I got 1 or 2 more smaller gifts from mom and dad. I loved it! Two mornings in a row of gifts! ;)

It doesn't look to me like you've ovulated yet.  Your temps aren't really any higher than several of your previous temps.

    Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks:
I had a killer headache like I do when AF shows yesterday. Maybe my hormones are shifting to O soon.

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents? Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? (Stealing from the 2WW thread, but I really like this question!)

Our gifts were 1/2 and 1/2. We opened all gifts under tree at midnight Xmas eve, then opened Santas gifts and more gifts from my parents Xmas day.

We opened presents Christmas morning. Most of the gifts were from my parents. Santa brought stockings and one "big" gift.

What are you doing?: One more day or so of ED HIO, Temping, CM check.  I might do another wondfo OPK this afternoon, but the digital one says to stop testing once I get a full smiley face.  I need to do some reading up on all of this today to understand it all.

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: After an open circle OPK in the am yesterday, I tested again with a wondfo at 3pm and got an unexpected full +.  So, I used the same sample to test with a digital and skipped straight to a peak non flashing smiley face (CB digitals).  My chart is showing a full degree increase from yesterday to today, so I am waiting for two more high readings and crosshairs now.  I'm wondering if this month I'm one of those cases who Os on the same day as a +OPK.

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents?
Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve?  Santa always brought one unwrapped gift (usually a bigger thing like a sled, bike, etc.) and whatever was in the stocking. The rest were from mom and dad.  My mom only started wrapping Santa gifts after we figured out the truth. We still get gifts from 'him' today.  We always open on Christmas morning, with the exception of those years where we talked our parents into letting us open just one the night before.

Rants: I have a mass on my uterus that needs to be removed. Went in yesterday afternoon to have a follow up ultrasound for cysts I had removed a few months ago, got a call later that there is something on my uterus now. They didn't call it a fibroid, just a mass. Based on my age, and what the surgery finds, we might be out for good. Surgery is at the end of the month. Is 6am to early for vodka?

GTKT: My mom wrote from Santa on a few gifts, but I was the youngest so I always knew he wasn't real. It wasn't very pushed to be a thing. I'm not really pushing it for DS either.Christmas morning always!
  • PeopleKnowMe we always had to wait for my parents too! 7:00 a.m. was the earliest we were allowed to get up. All 4 of us kids would sleep down stairs together and we would climb up the stairs about 6:45 and just wait until 7:00 when we'd bust through mom and dad's door to wake them up. I love that I still cherish those memories of being at home for Holidays :)

We always did this too.  And it sucked because I was a naturally early waker.  My mom and dad would cover our eyes and take us straight to the kitchen for breakfast before we even got to see the tree and Santa gifts.  It really built up the anticipation and I loved it.  I may have to find a way to start doing it for our kids.

Pretty sure we had one or two gifts from our parents and the rest were from Santa. opened Christmas morning and we would all go downstairs together.
I have heard of parents telling their kids they have to pay Santa for the gifts that is why every family gets different amounts/values if gifts.

What are you doing?: CBFM, OPK, and trying temping although it is not going well!

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: I have to thoughts!  1. My husband cranked up the heat last night so then this morning I was HOT!  My temp went up a bit from 97.4 to 97.7!  Part of me thinks that it is just from being hot, since I was seriously sweating!
    2. My wondfo is positive (since yesterday afternoon) but my CBFM is still on low.  This is a first for me so I don't know what is going on.  Just when I think I am getting the hang of this after 9 months I realize I still have no clue!

Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? (Stealing from the 2WW thread, but I really like this question!)

I think mine is half and half but thinking back on it I can't remember for sure!  When I was young I opened all presents in the morning but after my parents got divorced it was half and half, Dad's christmas eve, mom's christmas day.

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: None and none.  I can't wait to see how my chart shakes out this month.  FF said I have "irregular" cycles.  I've always considered my cycles extremely regular.  Last cycle was a FLUKE, I swear.  But who knows, maybe this is my new normal.  Frustrating regardless though.  Oh look, I guess I did have a rant.

Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? (Stealing from the 2WW thread, but I really like this question!)

Santa brought all the gifts, but my parents were not really creative about hiding gifts - in their bedroom closet.  I mean, who would EVER think to look in there, right?  We open all gifts on Christmas Day.

    What are you doing?:temping

    Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks:
I think I ovulated. I've had two days of high temps so I guess if it's high tomorrow I'll head over to the 2ww. I did a few opk but since I still had positive hpt I haven't been religious about it. Now I just hope I have a long lp and not short like after my last d&c so I can start testing when I see the RE on the 17th.

I had a long talk with my husband last night about how I just don't think I can go to the hospice tree lighting tonight. I'm so emotional right now I will be a hot mess if I have to go to that. I keep thinking after all these years the anniversary of my moms death will get easier but it's still so painful.

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents? Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? We had 1 to 2 small gifts we opened Christmas Eve from my parents and the rest from Santa on Christmas morning and they weren't wrapped. I do the same with my kids except theirs are wrapped in two different wrapping papers no tags. I find it amusing to watch them figure out who's is who's.

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents?
Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? We get together with my extended family on Xmas Eve. Santa comes there and gives each kid a present. We would open that there. (DH has been Santa the last 2 years and will do it again this year) Then we open all of our presents Xmas morning. They would be split between parents and Santa gifts.

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: Hoping the stress of finals doesn't hurt my TTC efforts. Oh, and I had a dream last night I had a baby even though TTC hasn't been on the forefront of my mind since AF came.

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents? Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? (Stealing from the 2WW thread, but I really like this question!)
My parents always wanted to take full credit for the gifts, so no Santa... They loved the hugs and kisses they got Christmas morning when we opened the gifts. We would open one small gift on Christmas Eve, but stocking stuffers and the real prizes came in the morning. Christmas was never extravagant, but we were thankful because we knew our parents had to make some sacrifices to make Christmas nice :)

Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? (Stealing from the 2WW thread, but I really like this question!) I answered this in the 2ww because i was there this morning but we always opened gifts on Christmas morning and they were all from Santa. Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: Pretty sure I O'd between CD14-15. Still crampy and sore boobs today plus I am 100% positive I have a UTI. But, I am tending my friends kid today so I won't have time to go to the clinic for treatment. Waaaa.

GTKY: We only had 1 big gift from Santa and the rest were from my parents. At our house, we only have SD for every other Christmas so it's kind of sad on the years we don't have her. But our traditions are that the Christmas elf brings PJ's and a group gift on Christmas Eve after church and then we open all other gifts on Christmas morning. DH and I label a few from Santa, but most from us. Then we go over to my parents for more presents with my siblings and Christmas dinner.

I really wish I would go ahead and get my high/peak readings already. Not because I'm necessarily worried, this would be early for O for me, but because I'm cheap and don't want to have to go out and buy another CBE kit. I can usually get 2 months out of one pack, but I don't think that's going to happen this time. GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents? Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? We got about 3 wrapped presents from Mom and/or Dad (divorced when I was 12, but always did Christmas morning as a family) and the rest unwrapped from Santa. If I was at either parent's house we still do it that way. Since we didn't have a fireplace, we each picked a chair/part of the couch in the living room and laid our stockings out there. The only thing we unwrapped after Mass Christmas Eve were our PJs and our yearly ornament (which my mom still sends me). I still pretty much do this for H and I, except that I do wrap our Santa presents because it makes the tree look more full with just the two of us, I probably won't do that for kids and will do what my parents did.

Santa always brought the presents, but he always wrote in my mom's handwriting ;) We always do Christmas Eve with my mom's side of the family so when my cousins and I were all younger, one of the men would dress up as Santa and hand out gifts from my grandparents.  Then, we would open gifts from our uncles and aunts.  On Christmas morning, we would open gifts with my immediate family (a.k.a. Santa) and then we would celebrate Christmas day with my dad's side of the family.

What are you doing?: everything... having less sex though b/c I'm annoyed at my body

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: No positive OPKs... nothing that indicates I am going to O soon. I am quite frustrated with my body right now.

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents?
Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve?
All our presents were from Santa. We always opened out gifts on Christmas Eve. We would go to church and when we got back there were all the presents under the tree.

What are you doing?: Temping, charting, PNV

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: I'm confused by AF. Had spotting on Mon/Tues, very light flow yesterday (almost thought of it as spotting again) and almost even lighter today. Overall, a lot lighter even than when I was on BCP, enough that it almost doesn't feel like AF. If I hadn't just started temping a few days ago, I could look at my chart to get a better feel for what's happening. Much as I want to fret and even take a HPT, I'm going to give it another couple days. It could just be normal adjustments coming off BCP--and here I'd been too excited thinking that AF had arrived right on time and my cycles were back to my "old normal." Guess we'll see what happens!

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents?
Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? I think it was pretty evenly split between Santa and parents--some presents were under the tree before Christmas night, from parents, then Santa left presents overnight. My parents still label some gifts as from "Santa" when we go home for Christmas, just for fun. We got to open one gift on Christmas Eve, the rest waited till Christmas morning.

    Edit: spelling. I haz it.

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: nothing waiting AF/loss to finish up. Confirmed loss with blood work Monday and today. Monday was at 11.7 and today back down to 5. I knew it but now it's "official"

Mostly from parents a few from Santa. We do the same most from us a few from Santa I'll be damned if he gets credit for all the good stuff! Lol

What are you doing?: temping. charting. PNV. CM.

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: Day 21, and by looking at my chart, I may have actually O'd on day 19, but I am still waiting on the CH from FF. My Ovulation Chart. And we have fertile CM today, and not enough of a shift in temp. I'm still in the game!
I went out with some friends after work yesterday, had a good time and all, then when we leave to go home, the trains are shut down. Had to find an alternate way home. NOT FUN! Had to get DH out of bed to come pick us up at the furthest possible point. To say the least, I am exhausted. *See below*

What are you doing?: hopefully not missing my FW with H business trip next week

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: I've hardly bled at all since yesterday morning, I've had a tampon in just for some light bleeding here and there. Making for ONE day of heavy cramping and bleeding. Awesomeness.

GTKY: When you were a kid, did Santa bring all the presents, or was it split even half Santa/half parents? Did you open your gifts on Christmas morning or Christmas eve? (Stealing from the 2WW thread, but I really like this question!)

It was split but I don't remember how equally. And we got to open one gift on Christmas Eve and the rest Christmas morning.

Rants/Thoughts/Chart Stalks: FINALLY I stopped bleeding... and we're lame and we don't have sex during af (mostly b/c it's painful for me) so you know what day one of no bleeding means?

even more so since we didn't have sex like at all last cycle due to a lovely uti

Santa brought most, Mom and Dad had one really good one... I think. We normally did Christmas morning, followed by church (or a few times it was church and then presents, which was TORTURE as a kid) but when we were older and there was no santa, we had a tendency to open them up Christmas eve.
