My DS2, at age 5, just lost his first tooth! He was so happy and excited about it this morning when it fell out on its own! Heehee, his S's are so cute!

The things little kids do are just too adorable. I have a nearly 3 year old boy. And oh man, is he all boy! I come from a family of girls so his boyishness is always cracking me up. DH was home over the weekend (he works out of town) and he let me sleep in. I came downstairs and DS goes "yay mommy is up! We can talk loud now!" And DH tells him, "ok, what do you want to say?" And DS goes "BUTT!!". Wow. The first word he gets to say and he chooses butt. What a boy!

I'm the same way, growing up with just me and my sister. Little boys are hilarious!

@MiaMyPuggle - I made supper last night myself- all by myself! I was actually pretty excited, and it was good! And, I am (almost) ashamed to say all I did was put brat patties on the George Foreman grill.

I slept like a real person last night - 8 hours and only woke up once to pee [and no baby in my ribs!]. It was a miracle; I feel like a new woman.

I hope we get a snow day tomorrow. The thought of walking and driving on snow terrifies me right now.

Since just learning yesterday at the OB that what I thought was a foot is actually my little guy's butt...I believe I have a booty shaker or twerker in there. He is so crazy active right now (after my strawberry milk and PB&J breakfast lol) and it's all booty shaking!

I wish I could stay home so my boys could have a dog. As it is, we're gone 12 hours a day, it just wouldn't be nice to the pooch.

@Hkula I just asked my cat to go get me the strawberries from the fridge...he crawled under the bed instead. :P

We've been slowly getting baby shower gifts in the mail! It's exciting to see the mailman now!

I woke up on the wrong side of the hospital bed. I've been extra leaky and my back hurts and I'm nauseous and just a bitch today. Good luck DH. He knows it's not good when I warn him.

I'm annoyed that people keep saying I'm going to go early simply because I measure ahead and the baby is big. I don't feel like taking the effort anymore to explain that some kids are just bigger and still need to bake just as long. And a big kid doesn't mean I am farther ahead than I thought. I charted and temped. I know EXACTLY when I conceived. Also, I need these last 25 days. I can't handle the thought of delivering before my planned 12/30. That's the plan and damn it, baby need to fall in line!

I'm tired of everyone giving me horror stories when I tell them why I'm on strict bed rest again..... I seriously don't need to hear how you delivered 5 weeks early when you had pre-e, or how so-and-so delivered a month early! Also, telling me your BP readings weren't even as high as mine only makes matters worse.

From now on I'm just going to tell people I'm on bed rest because I'm fat and lazy and like not being able to leave my bed except to pee!

I saw my 7 week pic, which was after I had lost over 30 pounds this year. I had new appreciation for my hard work and was able to look at it and say, "Damn, I looked good!" It's very hard for women to compliment themselves.

So I was late getting to the nicu for DS care time and I asked if I could hold him (I was 20 minutes late) and they said no cause he's sleeping so now I'm sitting here in the dark waiting for his 2pm care time. Most boring 3 hours ever. GIVE ME MY BABY!

I guess I don't understand NICU rules, but I really don't get why you can't hold your own baby while he's sleeping.

My FIL might move really close to us, and I'm secretly excited for how much this will bother my MIL (they are divorced). She gets irrationality jealous thinking he gets to spend more time with my son.

What the hell? That's ridiculous. I'd be like, "Are you his mom? No? Then move!"

Cheddar cheese and soda are the best combo. The carbonation with the cheese makes me happy.

Edited because I forgot over my NICU outrage that I came in here to post that first.

I have a couple...

-we're going on our baby moon tomorrow and Saturday! so excited! fancy dinner & concert 2 hours away...no kids!

-we just had 2 snow days and I wish DH could have been home ALL week. I shouldn't complain, because he had monday AND tuesday off, but still!

-DD's new word is 'oh boy'. when I got her out of bed yesterday morning she had peed through everything - pjs, sleepsack... guess where she got 'oh boy' from? Now I'm glad it didn't use stronger language!

-I have 6 nephews and nieces coming tomorrow for 1.5 hours. It'll be great for DD to have friends over, but I don't feel like cleaning up after them when we're leaving for our babymoon 2 hours later!
