  • I will have to go hunt for the recipe- but we used to make a breakfast bake that was completely assembled the night before- just pop it in the oven in the morning.  My mom also made a strata- like a crust-less quiche... easy and totally delicious.  Off to recipe hunt.

(For some reason- that edit button only appears on mobile.. wth)  Anyway, it is a fritatta, not a strata that my mom makes. https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/bacon-cheese-frittata so good.  And then the breakfast bake is similar to this https://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Make-Ahead-Breakfast-Casserole/Detail.aspx?evt19=1

  • I have a delish recipe but I'm not home yet so hang on a sec.

We order croissants from Williams Sonoma (thanks, Oprah)

You just pop them in the oven for a bit.

We serve that, a fruit platter and mimosas.

    GAH I WANT CHRISTMAS

This.  I do something different for the actual Christmas morning ( I need something really hearty before I go sit in church for an hour). but whenever we have company over for brunch/ breakfast time, we do these W&S croissants.  They also have morning buns and sticky buns that are delicious too.  This year, I ordered their cronuts which do have to be shallow fried, but I am trying them because they look so delish in the picture.

  • We do the wife saver breakfast every Christmas morning. It's sooo good! https://www.food.com/recipe/christmas-morning-wife-saver-68493
  • Do you have your french toast casserole recipe?

My husband and I had a crazy year in 2012.  We got married, bought our first home that was a complete gut and remodel, and found out we were preggers.  lol. We had been together for 7 years prior so we were moving fast on purpose. Well truthfully baby was a surprise, but we were so happy anyway. But now that we are settled and have baby I really want to start more traditions for our house.  It's been about his family and my family our whole time together and we just want to make Christmas about ours now.  So Christmas breakfast was never anything that I had time for, but this is something I really want to do for us. And something that I can make the night before and throw in would be awesome. Long story short I don't have a recipe to contribute.

My mom makes this one. It is seriously amazing. Tastes like blueberry cheese cake French toast.:

I made this one a few weeks ago and it was AMAZEBALLS:

    https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/creme-brulee-french-toast-recipe2/index.html

I just used a ,loaf of French bread instead of Challah and left out the Gran Marnier because I didn't have it.

Also, if you feel like it, you can make ahead a batch of cinnamon rolls, take them out of the fridge and let them rise on the counter for an hour then pop them in the oven. I do this every year on new Years day. I like this recipe the best:

  • My mom always make a green chile cheese egg puff similar to the recipe below and we have sausage and fruit with it. It is super easy and reheats well.
