who was it that posted about stomach pain and then popping?

Because this totally happened to me last night.  I was is no much pain.  It wasn't gas, wasn't rlp, wasn't sciatica, totally sharp, intense cramping...I was actually a little nervous...but woke up this morning MASSIVE.  lol I used the doppler and baby's heart was going strong.  So weird.

  • I think that was me, but there have been a couple of threads to that effect. I find that if I'm up at night with GI issues and discomfort, I'm definitely bigger the next morning. I visualise baby pushing everything around and trying to make space!

  • This transformation truly is fascinating.  I had a lot of pain last night as well, and when using the doppler the baby kept ducking it so the HB was going in and out, scaring the crap out of me.  Then this morning when I checked my belly looked bigger and the baby was higher up than last night.  I actually still have some pain today from things stretching.

@ABColeslaw, how often do you use the doppler?  My anxiety is peaking as I approach my loss milestone in two weeks, so I've been checking every morning and night.  When I asked my doctor if it was safe for me to listen, he scolded me and said it's not good for my mental health.  Apparently docs don't like when you use the doppler at home!  Anyway, sorry to hijack your post with this question but I'm just curious if I'm the only one listening as much.

  • I'm so relieved that someone else is experiencing the same thing!  I was terrified last night as my stomach has been really sore - a combination of feeling like my abs have been worked excessively combined with shooting pains.  I've had some issues with constipation this week, so I attributed it to that.  I woke up this morning still a little sore but my stomach is HUGE.  I feel like my uterus moved up a solid inch overnight, as it is now hard right at my belly button whereas it was still soft there yesterday.

Also, I too love my doppler for this reason.  Every little cramp drives me crazy, so I tend to listen once or twice per day.  Some days I skip and other days I need to listen more than usual.  I don't think there's any harm in it!

  • I have been getting this lately too. Last night was awful and I was out at a work function. Thankfully I finally got some relief!!

I'm going to keep closer tabs on my water intake and add in some prunes. I forgot about this "joy of pregnancy" from DD. colace was a big help through this stage with her.

  • I'm seriously waiting for this to happen to me! I've had a few days where it felt like something was really in there, not pain, not quite cramps, but a feeling of tightness or heaviness. It was mild and not uncomfortable, just there. I also had a day where my lower belly skin was itchy, with no visible rash or irritation or anything. My weight still hasn't fluctuated much yet, maybe just a couple pounds. But some of my jeans are starting to feel a bit more snug, and when I sit down for longer periods of time I find myself unbuttoning them.
