Breakfast Suggestions?

I am so bored with breakfast, scrambled eggs and toast is really getting old. I use to eat greek yogurt a lot but have developed an aversion right now. Does anyone have any suggestions for things they really like? My creativity with food is limited to dinner stuff. haha.

  • I have been having instant oatmeal for breakfast.  The maple version is pretty good and I bought an organic brand, so it's fairly healthy.  On the days when I need a ton of carbs to settle my stomach, I will eat two nutri grain eggos.  NOT healthy, but good :)  Other suggestions:  Omelet, breakfast fajita/quesadilla, mini frittatas that you make in muffin tins ahead of time, bagel thin sandwiches, bananas and granola, fruit cup.

  • English muffins.  Some mornings with nutella, some mornings with peanut butter and bananas, some morning with jam.
  • French toast, cheese quesadilla, fruit salad. I like Grape Nuts w/skim and some banana in it.

    I like to make scrambled eggs with broccoli in it, it's super good. I just pulse the cooked broc up a bit in my food processor, then mix it all up.

    Not sure if you want to ask me that. I will eat it and am not aware of any reason not to. I will eat deli meats, sushi etc. and am not too alarmist about food restrictions. Everything in moderation and be sensible (sushi from my trusted Japanese restaurant, not the grocery store),

  • I am shocked and jealous you ladies can eat all of these things.  I can usually manage to keep down a half a bowl of cereal.  Today I had yogurt, but that made me feel iffy.  Frozen waffles don't sound terrible.

    BFP#2 7/3/13.  U/S at 6w4d showed 1 heartbeat at 127 bmp and 2 empty sacs.  MMC discovered at 10w4d.  D&C 8/27/13.  Pathology showed normal boy.  Missing our babies every day.
    BFP#3 10/29/13!  Beta#1 at 4w5d - 2141, beta#2 at 5w1d - 7651!  U/S 11/21/13 showed baby measuring 2 days ahead with a heartbeat of 127 bmp!
  • Rice cake with peanut butter and a third of a banana.
  • I really like granola bars right now. Have also been enjoying fruit, oatmeal, or cereal too. Bagels with cream cheese when I want to be bad :-) I also drink a glass of watered down ginger ale to help with the nausea when I first get out of bed. Soda in the morning is a little weird, but it definitely helps.

  • The best thing I've been able to stomach for breakfast lately are Jimmy Dean frozen breakfast sandwiches. Fast and delicious.

  • Ham/egg/cheese on whole grain english muffin.  Carnation Instant Breakfast + yogurt + clementine oranges.  Fiber One bars.  Those have been my go-to, except on the weekends, then it's BACONBACONBACON.  My grocery store just had a buy two, get three bacons free sale.  NOM!

  • Ugh breakfast is the one meal I know avoid, get sick way too often now for it. But pancakes, French toast, and waffles are some of my go to breakfast staples. Plus it's easy to get creative with toppings and add-ins.
  • I've been doing scrambled eggs mixed with stuff like spinach and cheddar, salmon and fontina, or just cheese.
  • My favorite breakfast is biscuits with sausage gravy! Not healthy, but extremely delicious!
  • I always eat oatmeal (rolled oats = fewer preservatives) with craisins, some sliced almonds, and ground flax seed. The oatmeal is filling, craisins add sweetness without sugar, the almonds are a good way t
  • Continuted: to sneak in protein and the flax is great for digestion.

  • I love me some bagels! I always like bagels but generally try to limit myself because I know they're not the healthiest. Well last pregnancy I ate them every morning and am starting it again. the carbs keep my stomach settled vs milk in cereal.

  • I make a whole wheat bagel with onion and chive cream cheese and huge slices of tomato on top with a little bit of s&p. Sometimes I will fry an egg with some ham and do that instead of the tomato. Or with the tomato. Depends how I'm feeling. That's my basic breakfast nearly every day.

    I haven't been able to stomach breakfast for a while so I was force feeding myself peanut butter crackers in the AM to keep my blood sugar up but now I've started craving those little chocolate glazed munchkins from Dunkin Donuts and have gotten them a few times... I normally don't even like donuts. But they are sooo good and only $1 for 5! I know it's bad! But I can't stomach anything else right now besides those in the morning.

    I, myself, can't get enough potatoes. The best breakfast. Mushrooms, peppers, onions, and maybe some eggs cooked with them. Now I want breakfast!
  • I have been eating rolled oats with cranberries, blueberries, cinnamon and almonds. I got a pack of six for on the go from Costco. Also loving Belvita brown sugar and cinnamon crackers. Very yummy!
