What is your goal - how long would you like to BF your LOs? I had a lot of difficulties in the beginning so I've actually made it further than I thought i would. My last goal was 2 months and now I would be happy if I made it to 6 months.
Ditto. It's been a tough go and she is still literally attached to me constantly and it's driving me crazy. I keep setting short term goals. I'd like to make it to 3 months which would be Christmas Eve. My long term is 6 months and weaning around month 7. I would love to make it to a year in my heart of hearts but I don't know if that is possible.

I'm with you. I honestly didn't think I would make it as long as I have, but my next goal is 6 months. However, I go back to work on Friday and have a feeling this may be my next challenge, so we'll see if I can make it to 6 months.
I'm not EBF but I still nurse in the mornings and some for naps if she's cranky. Also she sometimes needs it for bedtime. I had breast reduction surgery so I'm glad I'm able to do it at all.
I don't know when my goal is. I'm just worried about teeth!
Ideally I would like to make it to 1 year. However, things are really not going too great with BF for me, so I don't know if that is realistic. I would be very happy to make it to 6 months. I see each month as another milestone, so my next goal is 3 months, then we'll go from there. Even if I end up having to supplement with formula (which is very likely), I would still like to continue to give her some breast milk as long as possible.
My goal is one year, but I think if I make it to 9 or 10 months I'll be pretty happy with that. BF has been great for us so far, but my job will make it difficult. I go back to work when she is 3 1/2 months.
It has been tough pumping at work but keeps getting a little easier each day. My goal is to keep pumping until 9 months and then keep nursing when I'm with her as long as I have a supply.
I'd like to go for 8 months. This week, my first back to work, has been kind of a wake up call about how much work pumping is. It is very time consuming and taxing. So, reality may really set in and change my goal.
I'm happy to made it as long as I have. I was very ready to throw in the towel around 1 month. LO is 90% BF, 10% FF at this point for convenience purposes. I'm hoping to keep it like this while I'm on break, then see how much supply holds up once I'm back at work in January. 4 months is my goal (LO is 10 weeks).

This, except my short term goal is 6 months. Long term goal is a year.

I'd like to make it to at least a year. I BF DD until 16 months, so I let him go past a year if he wants it/needs it. I think I'd wean by 2 if we got there.
My goal is to EBF until I go back to work at the end of January. After that, I will have to pump and then breastfeed mornings and evenings. We'll see how my supply holds up and how stressful pumping at work becomes.
I havnt really thought of a goal I just kind of seen it as ' this is how I'm feeding her' which doesn't have an ending period but now that I think of it, probably until she's 9 months as my short term goal and 14 -16 months as my long term.. From there maybe just pump what I can until my supply doesn't keep up if that works for me. Going with the flow
My original goal was 3 months, although I have a good supply and I know it's the best thing for her, so I think I might keep going until I start her on solids. Then again, I will just see how I go and play it all by ear!
My goal is as long as possible (with a max of age 2). I was thinking in terms of short term quarterly goals but I think like most of you the true test will be returning to work. She'll be 3.5 months part time and 4 months when I go back full time so that will be the test. I hope if I can make it passed that then I'll try to go until ( fingers crossed ) I get pregnant again in a year.

For as long as possible, hopefully about 2 years. Things are, fortunately, going well for me and I have an oversupply and considering donating some milk. LO is 2.5 months.
I've made it 5.5 months now. I love BF (and love the fact that he caught in so well once we got him home), hate pumping at work. My next goal is 6 months, we'll see what happens after that.
I hope to get to a year. We struggled in the beginning and I feel so proud that we stuck it out that I want to keep going as long as we can. I've been back to work for a month and he's still 99% breastfeed. He gets an occasional bottle of formula for convenience. I was breastfeed till I was 4, I'm not planning on getting to that point, but I really enjoy breastfeeding so we're gonna keep at it.
I plan on doing it at least 1 year. When she is around 13 months, I will be starting an accelerated nursing school program that will be incredibly demanding, and we'll see how it works out then.
My goal was a year... I made it 2 months. LO has such a sensitive stomach and such bad reflux I stopped and put her on alimemtium. It was the hardest decision but when I was EBF she would spit up chunks and now she's on tr formula it's just a little but of spit up here and there. She's also on Prevacid and Zantac and I cut out dairy to see if that was a problem. Hats off to you all who are still with it!
I'll be thrilled with a year. I'll be satisfied with 9 month. Ill deal with/accept 6 months.
I will most likely wean after a year if we make it that far. I wouldn't mind keeping at it, because I love the weight loss , but I hate making sure I eat/drink enough, don't over do it physically, figure out how much milk to thaw when I'll be gone, having enough to satisfy her but not thaw too much that we waste some etc.
I don't like the stress it causes, but love the weight loss and money saving aspects!

My first goal is 17 weeks, which is further than I made it with Lucas. Well, I went 13 weeks with him, but I took a month off and just EP'd with Alexis so I'm adding that time one. :-) After that it will be 6 months. My ultimate goal is to let her wean when she's ready.
