Post baby periods

Mine have been so different. I nursed and pumped for a year and was on the mini pill during thAt time. I never had a period. When I started to wean from pumping I had tons of spotting for like two weeks then I switched to a combo pill. I still didn't have a normal period. I spot. All. The. Time. I've started my period on week three of active pills, spotted during week one, had heavier spotting but still mostly brown blood during my off week, and over it! I heard spotting is a sign the pill isn't strong enough. Does that mean increased risk of pregnancy?

I have a doctor appointment next week but any other ladies with crazy cycles even on BCP post partum? It's driving me crazy!

    I am not sure if it would apply to being on birth control but my doctor told me it can take up to 6 months after you stop breastfeeding for your period to regulate.  I can understand how the irregular cycles are driving you crazy.

    Blah! It's been 5 months now that I've switched to combo pills. I feel that's enough time. It's nothing like it was before pregnancy. Some months I even wonder if it's a period. Then I spot for two weeks.

    I have been on lo loestrin since 6 weeks pp, and stopped BF at the beginning of August.  Although I have been on the same pill for over a year- I had no periods until July, and then wonky numerous periods until October.  It has finally regulated!

    I got my period 4 months afters DD was born, I was still breastfeeding until she was 6 months. So I guess that puts me at 9 months post BF and my period is still crazy. I go anywhere between 28-46 days in between them...and my period is soo much heavier now than before DD.
    It took me almost 2 years after getting off BC for my periods to regulate. Thinking this is going to be the same way.

    Thanks ladies but this doesn't give me hope a different pill will help! :(( at least I know I'm not the only one with crazy cycles post baby.
