I'm home!

So after being told we would NOT be leaving until after we delivered the babies, we were discharged yesterday.

Apparently my OB is very protective of his patients, and he didn't want to send me home since I'm still 3cm dilated, 50% effaced and having SOME contractions.

After 9 days of being monitored and nothing happening, I guess the nurses talked him into sending me home. He was not thrilled and when he came to talk to me about discharge he asked me if I 'thought I could go home and do NOTHING on bedrest' and I responded, 'I think so', and he was like, 'NO! I need to know that you will do nothing!'. We then compromised and said he would release me if I had someone stay with me 24/7. Since my husband is still working, my MIL is coming to stay with us until the babies are born to take care of me. Though I hate to be waited on, my husband insisted because he was getting worn out going to work all day and then driving 30 mins to the hospital to sit and do nothing with me, just in case my water broke.

So now we're home.. like a ticking time bomb. MIL is on her way!

The last goal we talked about was 35 weeks, and any day after that is good!

Thanks everybody. I know most of you have seen Everybody Loves Raymond. My MIL is a milder version of Marie. I'm thrilled to have her here to help, and we get along, but sometimes it's overwhelming. Already I've had my kitchen/ fridge/freezer cleaned out!

And I'm just letting it happen. Haha!
