Post Turkey Day insomnia check-in

Well I have come to two conclusions: 1). We are all going to sleep wonderfully from the natural sedation of Turkey. OR 2). You are miserably awake with heartburn and indigestion from eating too much.

So why are we suffering from insomnia tonight ladies?

    LOL it's 10:48 EST! Please don't bless me with insomnia tonight @eggerkr!

    Though hubby is trying to convince me to go Black Friday shopping with him since I'm up all the time anyway. I don't know about that!

    I'm up watching the marathon of Friends Thanksgiving episodes. Which I'm sure I'll regret when I have to get up and work from home in the morning. At least I'll be in my PJs.

    Only 10 here but I feel it's gonna be an insomnia night...then I'm doing a little shopping tomorrow at 6am, not even early since I don't sleep. Tomorrow should be interesting, but I don't work so I'll survive. Can't wait to buy all the cute baby clothes in the morning..whether I sleep or not! Ha!

    I am realllly hoping for a good sleep tonight, but I have a feeling that's wishful thinking. DH and I planned to spend the entire day cooking, but he was up sick to his stomach all last night. So...he slept all day and I spent about 6 hours on my feet doing the cooking.

    Then off to Thanksgiving (DH stayed home...feels too sick...poor guy). I made the mistake of having a (delicious) cup of coffee with dessert then had a false sense of energy, so on the way home I stopped at Kohl's. I'm such a freak. Waited in line for 35 minutes with two arms full of purchases.

    Now my body is killing me. If I have insomnia tonight I think I'll cry. All night. Tears.

    I've had a headache for over 24 hours. I've tried everything. I'm contemplating calling my OB. I doubt I'll be sleeping for a whilllle

    You just wait! Baby girl will eat for 3-4 hours at a time. Sometimes in 20 minute increments. I was able to stop long enough to bathe tonight!
    We are doing this too. I'm exhausted!

    No I'd have to go to a store to do that and I don't want to deal with the Black Friday bs right now. I just took my second shower of the night and it took a bit of the edge off but if it keeps up I will call. I just don't wanna call on thanksgiving for something stupid ya know?

    Goodness! I knew that all babies are different, but I guess I just expected the typical "every 2 hours". Glad to hear of something different, so if LO decides to be different like Anja, I won't think anything of it. :)

    Cvs is closed and that's the only pharm around id have to go to walmart :( I will be calling though to see what they have to say. Thanks ladies.

    Today I got home at 7:30am, slept until 5:30pm, picked up Boston market and brought to DH's work so both of us could eat then got home again at 7:30 and slept until 10:30 when I got up and left for work. I almost didn't wake up!

    Sad I missed out on our family Thanksgiving this year (3-4 hour round trip drive) but thankful I didn't have to deal with family drama. Although the family we always see on Thanksgiving is the least likely to be drama llamas, I think that's why they're my favorite relatives.

    So here I am at work having bad heartburn but simultaneously obsessing over the piece of pumpkin pie in the fridge at home and wondering what possessed me earlier to think I was too full to eat it then. Oh well now I can look forward to it!

    Haha so you totally understand how it went down. I am normally the voice of reason. I think its why I'm still awake. I am not usually one to get involved with drama like that-I don't like to add fuel to the fire. Any time anything good is happening in our life, she does something like this. When we got married she pretended to be me and cancelled our rehearsal dinner venue because his older brother had his wedding there and it was "not right" for us to "outshine" him. When we bought our house she said we shouldn't have a house warming party because his older brother couldn't afford a house..... now we are having a baby and she's fishing for drama. No more, I say!

    Lol organic milk is just expensive real milk. It must have been almond or soy or something vegan. Sorry your heartburn is also having a tantrum :(

    I barely ate anything due to this Dinosaur Egg taking up all of the space in my body. I've been up since midnight, now 2am. Finally gave up and came to the basement couch. I'm going to be 100x more thankful when I can wake up to care for LO instead of starring at the tv.

    It does frustrate me how "not real" the shows are they make it seem like you never have to pay for anything ever again if you coupon. FALSE. Although some of the ladies who get a million of one thing say they donate to the food cupboard or homeless shelters which I think is really awesome if its true.

    My MIL and step FIL refused to listen to both DH and I tell them that 1. I don't eat turkey (I just don't like it) 2. I can't eat food not made from designated gfree pots and pans 3. We are eating at my parents and coming over for dessert.

    I told her multiple times, to absolutely not worry about feeding me. Thanksgiving is too tough to ensure proper gfree and I truly cannot eat it. She told me that she was making a separate turkey breast for everyone else anyway... But when we showed up turned into 'My gfree turkey breast'

    I guess she was mad at BIL and SIL because they went to her family's as well. She cornered H about never seeing us. He was pretty pissed at how she acted. She was even mad at her own sister about Christmas cookies.

    Here'sy stance: Well lady, we've done huge projects to get our house ready for LO every weekend since August. When did you show up to help?

    I know! They live 3 miles away! And I thought my hormones were bad...

    I think today is crazy in law day. Regardless of them helping you on your house-visiting goes both ways. They can get in the car and see you if its such an issue!!!!

    When we moved into our house, my family helped us move. His dad showed up and put alllll of his stuff,literally everything (he had a few engines/car parts in their shed)plus a bunch of stuff that wasn't his on our new driveway and went home....leaving it outside and texting "your stuff is in your driveway". Why do in laws do this??
    That's unbelievable! My first instinct is to say 'sons vs daughters' but my parents would be helping my brother without being asked if he lived here. I guess it's the perfect example of givers and takers.

    Just bought DH his "big" presents for Xmas. I guess this insomnia is worth something after all. I even got some online promo codes which was nice.

    I'm up too. I fell asleep pretty easy due to all of amazing food I ate but boy am I paying for it now! Holy heartburn batman! ;) I'm sorry you ladies are up too but it's nice to know I'm not the only one. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)

    I'm here! After my many dr appointments this morning my hubby is shipping me off to go get my hair cut and a full nail spa package. I kinda wanna go black friday shopping and then I do not, prob hit up Rite-Aid cause they are having some amazing deals.

    I want a glider :-(. And I was going to try and find a crib on Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale. DH has enough electronics. He. Has. EVERYTHING!

    My DH is very handy and he needed some tools so I finally saved enough to buy him his circular saw, some sander thing and these clamps. He often does custom side projects so he needs professional grade stuff. I got some awesome online deals so I did it. He will be so surprised.
