First pregnancy - first U/S - first "holy sh*t" moment

Even though I have taken several pregnancy tests and have serious pregnancy symptoms this whole "you're going to have a baby" hadn't sunk in...until today. I had my first U/S - dating - and heard that little heartbeat. They updated my due date by 1 day and I now have a July 6th DD. I can not stop staring a this little peanut and had that moment of "oh sh*t...I'm going to have a baby" in the elevator coming down from my appointment. When was that moment for anyone else?

I keep having that oh sh*t moment at least ten times a day. I can't remember when I first had it though, probably after my dating ultrasound. I had the 'holy moly I didn't make this up in my head!' moment right after the ultrasound.

My first oh sh*t moment was my BFP. My second oh sh*t moment was going to the ER with spotting. I still haven't seen a proper OB yet, so I am sure there are more to come.

For my pregnancy with DD it was seeing that BFP, hearing the heartbeat for the first time on the doppler, the first u/s at 12 weeks, feeling that first kick... pretty much every major milestone was an oh sh*t moment.

For this pregnancy it was very similar to Danaerys so far: seeing the BFP and 2-1/2 weeks later seeing my little bun on the u/s in the ER after going in with spotting. I'm sure my next oh sh*t moment will be seeing a bigger bun at my next u/s on Tuesday to check on my SCH (@8w3d). And there will be many more to come after that as well.

My due date is July 6th too!! I haven't had "that moment" yet. I still don't believe it.

Getting the BFP was a huge oh shit moment. And then the two u/s and seeing the heartbeat. I expect it to become much more real at my next u/s (when baby will look much more like a baby), when I start feeling movement, and when I have a belly I can attribute to more than just too much pecan pie.

When I saw the BFP. I just looked at DH and was like "holy shit I'm fucking pregnant." Classy I know.

I burst into tears... for the first time, it was so real. I think it did the same to my husband, because he's been super-protective of me ever since.

hahaha I dont think i have had a full on "oh sh*t..." yet, what i've had is little moments where i am reminded that there is a human in there, and then it goes away quick. I got to see the heart beat, the peanut and got to hear it on Wednesday. Mom came with me cos my husband was not able to get off work, and all i could do is laugh cos it was an out of body experience, she didn't flinch, i think he was having the same out of body experience i was having. the romantic idea of having a baby is 100% different, for me, than the actual reality. I forget i am pregnant most of the time, im sure that will change when they start to move, hopefully i will get the "oh sh*t..." moment then
