Highs and Lows

What are your parenting highs and lows of the day?

My high: My son grabbed my cheeks and pulled my face towards his and gave me a huge kiss. Love it!

My low: I was getting dressed this morning and I looked over and my son had a pack of condoms in one hand and a sex game in the other. Mother of the year right here.

    My high was watching DD1 at church with her school. DD2 and I went to the schools Thanksgiving prayer service. DD1 sat so nicely, something she never does at home. Also DD2 did really well too.
    My low was DD2 being clingy during nap and ky slept when I held her.

    High was coming home from work and baking my pies while DS sat in his high chair watching and chattering away. Low is letting him zone out to tv for a bit so I could sneak in a ten minute nap and get dinner going

    Low: I pinched DD with the car seat buckle after daycare. Ouch!

    High:  DD can now identify her butt.  She's been learning a new body part every so often (feet, head, ears, tongue, tummy) and today she started grabbing her diaper when we referenced her butt.  It was awesome,

    High: T gave me a big kiss today, unprovoked. So sweet!  Then he started blowing raspberries on my cheek and we were laughing.so.hard.

    Low:  Less than 2 minutes after previous said sweet moment, he pinched my cheek so hard that I started to swell up while he simultaneously pulled a fistful of those tiny hairs at the base of my neck.

    Today was a good day, so I'm giving 2 highs.

    High #1: I put ds in his new pajamas, which have the same print as a pillowcase on our bed. When I put him on the bed, he looked over at the pillowcase and then looked down at his pajamas and had a big smile on his face. Several more times, he looked at the pillowcase and then down at his pajamas, each time with the same big smile.

    High #2: He had a skin test today which came back negative for egg and peanut. It was positive for milk and cassein, but since his RAST results had also shown peanut allergy, I was happy with the results.
