I love using oils/serums at night. Using the Every Lipid Serum by SkinActives currently, which contains squalane oil. Squalane oil was the secret weapon of my barely-wrinkled, 84 yr old pack-a-day smoking grandma. I'm going to have to try that Clinique Moisture Surge during the day, though. I'd been using Cerave, but it's not moisturizing enough. Depending on the price level you like to stay in, I've always really liked the Sephora brand Instant Moisturizer.
I could have used this thread 2 hours ago when I couldnt seem to get out of the moisturizer asile. I usually use Vichy but am sick of paying over $20 for something like that. I bought 2 different ones to try so I'll see how I like them and report back lol.
Can I piggy back this post and ask if someone has a dark spot corrector they would recommend? I have a little bit of a pregnancy mask from DD by my eye. Its not too bad that make up doesn't cover it, but I wish I didn't have to wear make up sometimes. And I would like to prevent it from getting worse with this pregnancy.
i'm a serial product hopper, but i have stuck with Olay Complete w/spf 15 for a few yrs now. It's non-greasy and has worked wonders. i recently ran out and i've been using my burts bees body lotion and my face is hurtin' for it.

@dollface777 I do, but they're definitely not supposed to be used during pregnancy. I don't know that anything that would effectively lighten your skin would be, but I haven't looked into it. It's expensive, but all the Japanese ladies in my office swear by Obagi products for fading spots. I tried the Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector for a few sunspots I have on my face, but wasn't impressed. Once I'm not pregnant/BFing, I'm breaking out the hydroquinone-based big guns.

I have oily skin too. I use oil of olay moisterizer and then apply murad oil control before my make up. I also stay away from liquid foundation. Seems to do the trick.
I use Mary Kay Velocity Lightweight Moisturizer in conjunction with Mary Kay Oil Mattifier. I love them both because they're lightweight. I can't stand when I can feel products on my face. I used to use clinique yellow until I found out one of it's main ingredients is formaldehyde. Gross. This one is silicone based.
I've been using the CeraVe that comes in the tub. It's like $13 for a huge amount and so far it has been great with the dry weather. I use it on my hands, too.

I've been using neutrogena for years. I use the oil free with spf 15 and I love it. It isn't too heavy. I have used lots of other more expensive products and this one does the job as well as any of them.

I use Mario Badescu Oil-Free Moisturizer w/ SPF 15, it started off at a spa in Manhattan but now they sell it at Nordstrom, Ulta & Henri Bendel. I swear by it and have been using it for over 10 years.
Call me crazy, but all I use is coconut oil. I'm not a health crazy, organic type of person, but have had some sensitive skin issues and tried it. Works great, but wish it had SPF.
If you have combo/slightly dry skin..this stuff is amazing and smells good (plus no parabens): Origins Make A Difference Plus+ Rejuvenating moisturizer

I mix a few different oils together; mostly jojoba with some seafoam oil and pomegranate seed oil. I'm with ya on not being really crunchy except with my skin. It's super light and doesn't actually feel oily. In summer, I wear some kind of zinc oxide sunscreen during the day and oil at night.
I use Neutrogena Naturals & really like it. No parabens or funky stuff.
For dark spots, PP was right that the most effective treatments aren't safe in pregnancy (hydroquinone and retinols). The best you can do now is to cover up with a hat & wear sunscreen to keep it from worsening.
For all of the people looking for dark spot treatments I have heard of people using aquaphor for dark spots and it supposedly lightens them right up. I haven't tried that because I don't have them, but I know people who swear by it. Not sure if you can use it during pregnancy.
Re: Recommend your facial lotion?!
ETA: they also have unscented, and a "natural" version but I don't know what's in it.

Another Mary Kay fan here - timewise moisturizer (comes in normal/dry or combo/oily), oil mattifier and the oil free hydrating gel are great.
For dark spots, MK also came out with a new dark spot corrector.

It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
Love this stuff! I also use The Body Shop's Aloe day lotion. They have a night lotion too that's thicker. Wonderful stuff!
