My family eats early for holidays Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner are both usually at 2pm or sometimes 3pm but that's considered late. SO's family usually eats at 6pm. I'm always starving by that time!
Haha...Dinner #1 is at 1:00, my house with my in-laws. Dinner #2 is around 7:00, my cousins house with my side. I am always still full at Dinner #2, but manage a plate full of stuffing, lol. Holidays have been like this my whole life, just when I was a kid the early meal was with my fathers side of the family.
4pm. You can have a good, hearty breakfast and by 3:30 you'll be ready for appetizers. Eat dinner around 4, relax a little, and still not have dessert too late.
Usually around 2pm on my side of the family, but for the first time ever, we will be going to mil's for Thanksgiving. I have no idea what time, and we probably won't know until the day of.
Probably around 3 or 4 pm. My sister, BIL, and nephew are flying cross country on Thanksgiving day and arrive around 1 pm. The goal is to have most of the food ready by the time I go to pick them up from the airport, and then have our meal a little while after they get settled at our house.
BFP #1 9/2010 (lost our baby at 21 weeks)
BFP #2 8/2011 (ectopic pregnancy)
BFP #3 10/2011 (chemical pregnancy)
BFP #4 12/2011 (Abigail born 8/15/12)
BFP #5 5/2013 (Griffin born 1/23/14 with heart defects, now repaired!)
My mom normally has it around 1pm and then the IL's is at 5pm. Needless to say I don't normally end up eating too much at dinner #2. (I like my moms food better anyways!)
We are renting a house in South Haven, MI with DH's family. We are driving up on Thursday so we decided to do the big dinner on Friday and it can be whenever since we will all be there. I kind of like that plan.
If we go to my dad's family, it is always at noon and they never wait for you if you are late.
