My stomach has been hard for a little over an hour now. It hasnt loosen up, but there is no pain anywhere. What would you ladies do? Wait it out for a few hours or should I go to the drs now?

Edit: forgot some words >.<

  • I'm not trying to be a jerk, but have you had your hand on there for the full hour? Non-stop? I remember last time thinking my BH were constant because I would have a firm belly for what seemed like a whole hour or more, but nothing ever came of it and I chalked it up to just never feeling during the moments BH weren't happening.

Are you in pain at all? At the very least, to ease your mind maybe just call your OB's office and explain the situation to them.

Lol, no. I guess I can just feel it being hard (idk if that makes sense) so I been touching it often. Ive had BH and it usually gets soft after 45 seconds or so, this time its not the case. I'll call my OB, thank you :)

  • I've noticed that happens to me often ... LO starts moving around and then it gets sorta soft again (if that makes sense)

  • If you aren't contracting then I wouldn't be worried.

Totally makes sense. If you're not in pain I wouldn't be worried but I'm all for calling your OB to make you feel better. About just about anything. :)

  • This has usually been caused by constipation or bloating for me. Moreso the latter lately. Particularly right after lunch & I maybe ate a little too much.

  • This happens to me frequently, and I attribute it to the baby stretching/pushing out. I never worry about it. And I definitely wouldn't call my OB about it, personally.
  • That happens to me all the time. I never called about it and it has always been fine. I've also had a few occasions where I was experiencing contractions 3-4 minutes a part and had to go to L&D and it didn't change anything. It's probably BH from overdoing it or the position of the baby.
