  • So, is this secretly your etsy store? The only thing good about etsy was regretsy.

  • A ring of that nature is not something is buy from etsy. I'd go to our normal, local jewelry store. But that's just me. Not hating on etsy at all, as I love it. Just not for that type of jewelry.

  • Wow! Very expensive. I have a local jeweler who does stuff much cheaper (even with a store front).

When people talk about having jewelers I just think "Oh, you fancy!"

Seriously. But I'm probably just jelly.

  • I just went in to have my wedding rings sized because they do it onsite versus sending it off for a few weeks like Kay or Zales. I found a ring at those stores that I fell in love with and the jeweler quoted me less than half the big store cost...not that we've had the extra money for diamonds lately. ;)

  • I LOVE them! I want them all. I really, really want a sapphire ring for my LO (born 9/24). But, those are pricey so that will have to wait until maybe next year.

  • 1) is this your push present CV?

    2) I totally "have a jeweler". My moms coworkers friend owns diamond mines in the Congo. We got the diamond in our e-ring at cost and gold at cost+10%.

  • That Etsy store is expensive and the stuff is NMS. I'm planning to get a thin band with DS's birthstone to wear with my e ring and wedding band.

Me too. I haven't been to talk to the jeweler yet, though. I have a credit with them because my husband did some work for them. We live in a small town.

  • I was going to post exactly what @stefmurph did.

After we're done having kids I want a band with all their birth stones to wear with my wedding and engagement ring. So far I have a diamond baby and an opal baby so this ring will be pricey lol.

  • My aunt makes jewelry, but she lives in Israel so not easy to have her fix little things (she had an easy ship though ). My dad can fix some things when needed. My grandfather was a goldsmith so they learned a bunch.

  • I just love CV's reference to Clover.  Now I have the jingle stuck in my head.

I'm not a fan of birthstone jewelry.  DD was born 3 days after my birthday and DH gave me a locket for my birthday that year.  I still have to put DD's (and now DS's) picture in it- I'm kind of lazy.

  • I don't know, the kind of jewelry I'm comfortable buying on etsy, or online for that matter isn't the kind of jewelry I would want as a keepsake. How do you know it's legit? Maybe I'm just not very trusting. I totally think you could do better with a local, independent jeweler.
