My cousin had a baby at the end of August who they knew would have problems. The u/s showed his aorta was wrapped around his esophagus, he did not have a complete four-chambered heart, and there was a hole in his left ventricle. He came into the world looking perfect and they knew there would be a long road ahead but things were going so well.
He had a surgery to repair some of the damage that he miraculously survived after 27 blood transfusions. There was no scientific way he should have made it but he did. He has had some scares since then but has always hung on.
Tonight he had a surgery to put in a pacemaker. The doctor's did not want to do the surgery but they felt they had to because he was having some heart block. They are now saying that he will not make it and there is nothing they can do. This perfect little boy is 3 months old and fighting to make it.
Please, please, please send your thoughts and prayers his way. They have always worked in the past and we need a miracle.
ETA: His name is William
Update: As of this morning, William is on life support and I will keep updating as I can. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers they have gotten him through the night.
