GTKY: (super) heroes

I'm a loser so let's do this!

Favorite super hero. Why?

When did this love start?

Least favorite super hero. Why?

If you'd like to describe more of your super hero love, please feel free.

Re: GTKY: (super) heroes

  • If you couldn't already tell, Batman is my favorite hero. He has no super powers, but he still kicks ass! I'm a super fan, though! I cried during the last movie.

I've been a fan as long as I can remember. My dad would never buy me anything because it was for "boys" but once I had allowance I bought ALL THE THINGS!

Least favorite... superman. I think his story line sucks, and the older movies sucked. I still refuse to see the new one even though the guy looks good. My SO went to the movies to watch it alone.

As a kid I sat around reading comic books. I liked girly things as well, but I was so in love with all of these heroes.

  • @BPaws I'm def going to say that X-Men count. Gambit is my favorite from that comic, too! And SOs! I used to to read those comic books. :)
  • Loved Wonder Woman. Not comic Ww but Lynda Carter WW. I was her 3 years in a row for Halloween in college. Dream come true.

I also think Buffy is cool now that's she's evolved to graphic novels. Does she count?

  • So ... I'm not really into the whole super hero thing per say but my DH is more than obsessed. He's 40 and has been collecting comics since he was 12! He goes to his comic book store every week and we have comics budgeted in our monthly budget. Our basement is full of long boxes! Dont worry its dry and they are on shelves. I joke and say that it is our retirement!

He's met his super hero Stan Lee at no other than a comic book convention. He's got the autographed photo of the two of them to show for it!

His favorite has got to be batman also since all his "powers" are learned etc. (Even though that's not a stan lee character).

I can't say I have a favorite since I'd feel like a "poser" lol! But I've learned a lot about various heros when he geeks out! My favorite is after we see a super hero movie and he says "that's not how it really happened" ... as if these events weew real and really happend in real life! Lol!

So I'll end by saying ... in a fight between batman and wonder women who would win?

  • @toni79 I'm the same as your H. I'm always like THAT'S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED IN THE COMIC!!!!

We just took a vote in the house:
    We say Batman.
