HCG up but progesterone down

in 1st Trimester
I had my first beta on Tuesday and my progesterone was 86, HCG was 859. I had another beta today (Friday) at the same exact time of day and my HCG went up to 2300 something but my progesterone went down to 79. Is this a cause for concern?

    Progesterone can fluctuate from day to day, but those numbers seem pretty high to me.  Has your doctor said anything about them? 
    Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.

    They want your progesterone over 10. Over 20 is awesome. I think you're fine.

    From what I know, Progesterone surges throughout the day.  So if you don't catch the surge, it may be lower.  The numbers look good to me....mine initial draws were much lower.  
    On our way to baby#2!  Praying for a healthy and happy delivery next June!

    Thank you ladies for your input. They haven't said anything about the numbers yet except that it looks good so far. I was a little concerned about the drop but that makes sense to me about the surge, so I feel much better about this now after hearing that. Thank you so much.

    That number is great. My progesterone was always like 4...no joke. I needed suppositories to keep my pregnancies going.

    I believe they like you to be over about 10-12. Your level is super high, and as PP said, that does fluctuate through the day.

    If you see the level drop to the teens, I would worry more.
