I started Lupron last weekend and now my hubby feels like a Pro with the injections. My last BCP was Wednesday night so I'll hopefully start AF in the next couple of days so we can get this show on the road and start STIMS. Woohoo!

QOTW: We'll be with DH's family for lunch and then my family for dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Lots of eating to do but no complaining here! (I just wish I were preggers so I could have an excuse to wear stretchy pants!)

We had a Friendsgiving dinner last night at our house and it was a huge success. We made the turkey, stuffing, gravy, sweet potato casserole, and a dessert and then everyone else brought a side. We had 15 of our closest friends come and we had the best time. They are such a blessing to us!

Hi ladies
So my MRI is scheduled for Monday .... FX they get a cancelation for tomorrow and I can get in tomorrow. Starting BCPs today... Then if my MRI comes back clear (on my knees praying) we have a tentative FET #2 transfer for December 17th. I don't even want to get excited about this... Just going through the motions because I'm scared it will fail again and I'll have a really shitty holiday up in the mountains which would suck because its my favorite place in the whole world.... And I don't want to taint my favorite place with more pain.

QOTD: I'm not doing anything for thanksgiving. That's not entirely true... I'll be drinking for thanksgiving...

Update: I've been estrogen priming for just over a week. I'm waiting for my period to arrive any time now. I'm betting on Saturday (which will cause DH to whine and complain when we have to leave the hotel at butt o'clock in the morning on Sunday to get to my baseline appointment). I'll be stimming very soon!

QOTW: We are going to my sister's house for Thanksgiving. I have never gone out on Black Friday. I am planning to do as much shopping online this year!

Hi ladies! I've lost 20lbs, need to lose 6 more by the time I have my baseline (which should be the 2nd or 3rd week of December). I am so excited!

Thanksgiving: Nothing planned for actual Thanksgiving. Every year my SIL dictates what happens with DH family. So my family always has it Wednesday night to accommondate. Well this year SIL has to work early, so the family dinner is now Friday. Im hoping to get our Christmas decor up that day since the next weekend we are having a party and pretty soon I'll start bc and injections and wont be feeling too hot.... well actually way TOO hot. Haha.

I am a Black Friday shopper. I wish it were truly Black Friday and not ditch your family Thursday. But DH and I are people watchers and the best train wrecks come out at 2am and attack the mall. We grab hot coco and a pretzel and just watch the craziness. We score some deals but mostly just take in the ruckus.

We're a go!

I went in today for my check and to start Estrace and our RE decided it would be a good day to start H stimming too. We left with a bag full of meds, about an inch of consents to sign and having emptied our bank account to the clinic!

Our ER is still likely going to be around Dec 4-6 sometime, and our ET will then be either the 9-11 or something.   We'll have a better idea next week how it's all going, but H started her Gonal-F and Repronex today.

QOTW: We live in Canada so our Thanksgiving was last month, but H is American so we always at least acknowledge it by calling her family. This weekend we're doing some R&R and celebrating the official start of this cycle...   Next week I'm guessing H will be starting to feel a bit uncomfortable so we won't be doing much moving around.   We'll see.

Manada just gave our update. I just wanted to add that I'm really excited. And being excited makes me really scared since infertility brain makes me (and us) believe that anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
I'm glad to have these checkins to feel connected to others cycling now or preparing to, etc.

Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a good week!

Update: Had my med teaching class Tuesday morning and our IVF orientation that evening. I'm starting to get a little nervous that we will end up having to do a freeze all and not transfer until January

grrr I do not have enough patience for that! Also started my Synarel which is what my RE has me on instead of Lupron and it's just gross.

QOTW: I have to work on Thanksgiving but will be off by 2, then dinner with the family. We're having Fancy Thanksgiving (aka Friendsgiving

) next Saturday. We make the guys dress nicely for a change and cook a huge traditional meal. I'm an online shopper, so no black Friday for me! I can't stand that it starts on Thanksgiving and the savings aren't really all that, so I just skip it.

Hello all, Today was blood work and ultrasound everything looked great so we got the ok to start Menopur abd Gonal F in the morning I'm super excited!!!

QOTW: Thanksgiving is still up in the air we have to decide if we want to drive from NJ to Va to visit my family or just stay home since we both have to work Black Friday. I will be taking advantage of cyber Monday this year.

So my RE wanted to meet with us to discuss our plan. My nurse promised me that he wouldn't talk me out of using dh's sperm. Well- he managed to convince dh not to use it. I don't blame him- dh has 'twitchers' and not swimmers so there is really no point. I didn't think they were that bad. Just another thing to remember- look for a new urologist. So it looks like the IUI is going to be natural and just the trigger. And since my period is pretty regular and I ovulate early we are planning for a Xmas eve and Xmas day back to back IUI. We are going to wait to make sure everything is on track before we ship the sperm out since only one lab is open on Xmas day.
QOTW: dh and I are spending the day alone. To be honest last few times we planned a holiday many cancelled last minute. So I'll be planning where to shop and where the good deals are. I usually get a years worth of underwear, socks, t- shirts, etc and some items for me.

Update: still on BCP, baseline is sometimes next week dont know for sure yet since my nurse doesnt have the "official" schedule yet but im hoping ill be able to start stims this time next week. Got my box of meds in the mail yesterday!

QOTW: spending it with the inlaws like every year since i got married. my family is in MI, so its hard to be able to travel there and back especially since i like to spend a lot of time when i do get the chance to go. its pretty much boring here tho, DH's fam is kind of well awkward lol and you can just feel the tension in the room. oh what a fun day it will be.

i never have and never will go black friday shopping. too hectic for me, im a "go shop on a weekday really early when its quiet" kind of girl so large crowds stress me out and take the fun out of shopping. BUT i cant wait for CYBER MONDAYYYY planning to stay up and take advantage of some deals hopefully

Update: Starting stims on Sunday...finally! Spent the last few days tracking down insurance and pharmacies....thank goodness for Saturday delivery! It's still not totally solved, but I can start! Unnecessary stress, thanks Aetna! QOTW: Big Thanksgiving on Thursday with my family and a smaller crew with the in laws on Saturday. Black Friday will include early morning monitoring...maybe I should make the most of being up and out at 6am?!? Usually...not my thing.

QOTW: Last year we went to my parent's so this year it's at my MIL's....yawn. It will be his brother and sister with SO's and 2 nieces and a baby nephew. Love my nephew but sometimes have a hard time being in the same room with him. Black Friday? No way..ever would I get up that early! Hoping to put up Christmas decorations that weekend.

I'm new to joining a group, so I'm not exactly sure how it works. We are going to be doing a FET this month. Meeting with RE tomorrow and waiting for my period to start to figure exact dates. And then the big decision, how many to transfer. How do I get the winter wishes sig?

DE coordinator just called. FDA testing on donor found a positive on one of the tests. I'm so upset. Guess I'm out next month. Wishing you girls all the best on your cycles! Will be keeping tabs on all of you.

@BeckyP005 - I am so sorry to hear that! What happens now?

As for me- I start Follistim tonight (Saturday). Yay! 200 units each night- first bloodwork appointment is on Tuesday, first ultrasound appt on Thursday (Thanksgiving). I'm excited to be moving to the stimming category!

As for Thanksgiving, DH and I spend it with my two grandparents, just the four of us. It's a tiny family thanksgiving but I'm okay with that.

Hey ladies!! I'm still chugging along...lupron in the am and menopur and gonal f at night. I have my 3rd US tomorrow morning so hoping everything is growing!! As of now ER is We'd but I won't be surprised if it gets pushed off.

QOTD: We were supposed to go to my inlaws in Highlands, NC but canceled since ER is most likely this week. It'll just be DH and me since my family is in VA. Honestly, I don't mind the idea of something low key and chill at this point. No Black Friday for me! I can't stand the chaos and long lines. Although, @sparkles2040, people watching isn't a bad idea! Congrats on the weight loss...that's awesome!! My moms cousin invited us up to her cabin in homosassa, fl Friday for a stone crab feast so depending on how we feel we may make the drive...who knows, I'm feeling rather unmotivated.

Room for one more? We have decided to take the plunge again for FET next month. My cycle should begin about 12/2. This will be IVF#3 for us. I wanted to try again before my birthday in January.

Thanksgiving will be at my parents and my father in law will be joining us as this is the only family my DH has. Feeling bitchy because my adult niece will be in attendance and we haven't spoken to each other in 6 months after a huge fall out.
No thank you to the Black Friday chaos. I will be cleaning out closets as we will be moving in January!

No update here. Wednesday I go in for another lining check (they want to see how it does after taking progesterone for 10 days). Then, AF should come this weekend and hopefully still on schedule for my FET on 12/13. Only annoying this is that I cannot stand the financial nurse at my RE's office. I swear she calls a few times every cycle to make sure we know how much it will be. Well, I paid for my August cycle and it was cancelled. Since we've decided to to do the FET, I have spoken to her twice (once in person and once on the phone) and each time I had to remind her that I'm already paid up! It's so annoying. I expect a few more calls from her.

QOTD - I will be going to DH's small town where his parents live to celebrate with them this year. It should be relaxing and I'm looking forward to it! I did do black friday last year, but will NOT be doing it this year.

I'm a little late to the check in! Baseline for FET is tomorrow morning. I don't know the detailed ins and outs of FET like I did IVF, and I'm taking that as a comfort this time around so I can let go a bit more and just go with the flow. Let's see how long that lasts!

QOTW: DH and I are having brunch with his family, then dinner with mine on Thanksgiving. Should be fun. And filling. (No tracking on MyFitnessPal that day, for sure!)

Hi ladies.

AF showed up on Sunday! Yesterday my nurse went over my FET INSTRUCTONS ! I will start Lupron on cd20. On or about 10-12 days of Lupron, AF will show again. That's when I will call the nurse again, and they will give me further instructions.

I am feeling excitement!

QOTD:I'm cooking dinner for my family. My older children will be home as well as my little girl and husband. Normally we all go to my uncle's home for thanksgiving. I have a large family. However, we lost both of my grandparents this year and I just want to be home. I will stay in lounge wear and enjoy my little family. I love to cook and bake! Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! Be safe traveling. I probably won't do black Friday. Sat is my class reunion.

. i had to call my nurse because the tentative baseline date she told me on my teach a couple weeks ago was the 27th or 29.. so im like heyy yoohoo, any news on my timeline? she called me back a couple hours ago and made an appt for Dec 2nd for my baseline and if everything looks good i can start on that same day then go back for a check on the 6th.

I went in for my first follie scan this morning:

Endometrium is measuring at 5.0

Now I'm just waiting to hear back about blood work, meds instructions for tonight, and schedule the next monitoring appointment.

Hello!

I'd love to be added if you'll have me.

We just went through our first failed IVF the beginning of November. Transfer was the 10th and I found out it was a BFN last week. I thought we'd be taking it easy until the new year but my RE called me today to tell me I could schedule a FET before Christmas. Right now, as long as everything goes according to plan, I'll be having my first FET on December 20th.

I'm excited to move forward, excited to be PUPO on Christmas, but also terrified having discovered that a negative result is a very real possibility.
