I just got to the end of the thread about things that are not our cervix and I was cracking up at the stories of the first time people got drunk and I think it deserves it's own thread. I feel like the first drink I have after this baby comes out will be like being drunk for the first time all over again. So whats your story?

I think I win the award for "youngest to get drunk"...I was 5! Trust me it was 100% unintentional! It was at a Halloween block party at my best friends house. Our moms had bought these cups at a Tupperware party and each of us had our own designated color at each others house (our moms had a little OCD):

My cup was the red cup. We were out trick or treating and I was so thirsty and so I was excited to see I still had a full cup of apple cider sitting in the laundry room where all the drinks were but the top was missing for some reason. I garbed my cup and took a huge swig...yeah it was not apple cider, it was straight whiskey .

At the time I weighed about 35-40 pounds and I got probably at least 2 shots down so I was wasted! I go up to my mom to tell her I think the cider had gone bad and she smelled it on my breath. She FLIPPED out. I mean really...who runs out of shot glasses and think "I will just use a kids sippy cup."

I got to say though being 5, drunk on Jack, full of candy and dressed up like Minnie Mouse was pretty sweet!

I just want to say no I'm not a drunk but I do enjoy drinking. And I am so excited to be able to get drunk off of hopefully three beers again it's been since I was in high school that that happened!! I'm pathetic I know

1rst your first drink/drinks will be like the first time. I was slurring my words after a large glass of merlot.
My first drunk story!
Backstory when I was 11 I took a giant gulp of what I thought was tea from my dads glass. It was not sweet tea at all it was bourbon and I threw up. I swore I'd never drink or even look at alcohol EVar!
Fast forward 5 years later. I was in Paris on a school trip. I was the youngest and my older friends convinced me to drink with them. I thought it was ok bc the legal drinking age was 16.( I had just turned 16)We bought all this liquor. I drank a lot! I remember going to the bathroom and looking at myself in the mirror. My hair was all messed up so I starting laughing hysterically. I then told everyone how beautiful they were. Took off my pants bc I was hot, ate a whole bag of grapes and threw up multiple times. I had a horrible hangover. I vowed to never ever drink again and I didn't till I was 19.

Mine was super young too... I think like 8?? Someone had made an alcoholic mousse at my grandparents annual Christmas party and I pigged out on it (unintentionally) without anyone noticing and finally someone realized what was going on and I was pretty buzzed by then lol. Oops! With DS1 I never missed drinking while pregnant but this time I really miss beer, like I have been dying to drink a beer for months! Ughhh!

It was New Years Eve when I was a sophomore in high school. I was at a party and had no idea what I was doing. I had beer, wine, anything. It was real dumb. Nothing funny or eventful happened. I just remember being sooooo hungover the next day and my Mom figured it out and told me I deserved it. I'm surprised she didn't kill me.

I was 16, my boyfriend picked me up, he was driving everyone that night. I stole some courvoisier from my dads bar along with a whole water bottle filled with vodka. I thought that vodka didn't have as much alcohol in it so I basically chugged the bottle, had a blast at our friends house and thought I was completely fine...until the ride home. I threw up the entire ride home and my boyfriend basically get me out of the car and said goodnight..didn't help me in or anything. I got home and my mom said I was slurring my words and sounded like I just got braces on. I denied it and went upstairs, threw up some more and went to bed. My mom had a talk with me the next day and she wasn't mad, just disappointed in me, which is always worse! Then we talked about how I shouldn't drink but if I'm going to anyways, it should be beer so I can feel the effects of alcohol and not just drink vodka and get sick. My mom doesn't drink and doesn't condone it but knew we did it and wanted us to be safe so we had an "adult convo" about it. I still don't drink a lot of vodka, I drank so many water bottles of it in high school, it kinda makes me gag!

I was at a house party a block away from home my junior year of high school. I drank five Bud Lights then realized I was 30 minutes away from curfew (I think I was the only 17 year old with an 11 o'clock curfew). I called my mom begging her to let me stay the night with a friend. She obviously knew I was drunk and told me no. My friends walked me home and I went straight to bed. Mom never addressed the incident, though she admitted years later she knew what was up.

My first "bad" drunk story was the next year as a hs senior. I took a summer trip to Europe with my mom and best friend. Sorrento + no drinking age + copious amounts of red wine = lots of throwing up off the balcony. We found my retainer in the bushes below our window the next morning.

I was 16\17 and out on Mardi gras day and me and ny aunt were house hopping and every house gave me a drink....yeah couldn't even feel my lips. She thought it was hilarious.

Ok so this isn't the first time I was drink but it was the first time I was publicly drinking. I was 14 and it was my cousin's wedding. I think I had about 4 Long Island Ice Tea's that night. Whooo! Yea I didn't throw up but when I got home I did sit on the ground and talk with my mom trying to act normal. Haha yea don't think she bought it but she never did say anything.

The first time I actually got drunk was at my 18th bday party at the bar. My brother and his friends took me out for a mix of my birthday party and his best friends party (our birthdays are 2 days apart). Ok so we've been at the bar for hours and about 8 or 9 shots and 4 beers later, I looked straight at my brothers friend and say "you know I've had a crush on you since I was 9!" (I'd known him since I was 6, he was more of a brother to me, and his girlfriend is like a sister to me). All he did was look at me, smile, and say that I needed another shot. I don't remember anything after that.

The first time I ever got drunk I was 8 or 9. It was accidental. We were at a Ukrainian wedding and the staff gave me just a little champagne for the toast but then refilled it a few times. The first time I intentionally got drunk I was 13 or 14. I mixed the vodka that my Ukranian family used for after dinner toasts with fruit punch. I got so drunk that I tried to crawl up the stairs to my bedroom. My mom heard the commotion and stood at the top of the stairs. When I got to the top of the stairs I threw up all over her feet

I don't remember either. I was probably 15 too. I have a lot of ridiculous drunk shenanigans memories, just don't remember my first time drunk.

I was 16 and I ditched school to hang out with my friends. We went to some art exhibit and then to someone's house and drank Heineken (yuck). I had almost 2 beers and thought I was on top of the world until I had to take the city bus home. It was a LONG 30 minute ride and I was feeling sick. When I got off of the bus, I threw up and pissed my pants! Full on pee! I had to walk from the bus stop to my house covered in pee and puke and then I got busted not only by my Mom, but my Grandma was there too.

I was a goody-two-shoes in HS...I think the most I had was a few sips of a wine cooler. But when I got to college, all bets were off...got drunk for the first time at an opening weekend house party on 4 shots of tequila....which is the WORST thing to overdo it on if you are a booze novice. But ugly hangover aside, I went on to be the shot queen my freshman year...lol. I didn't get into beer till my sophomore year and I joined a sorority...we would have free keg nights for our house at the local bars. Amazing for a broke college kid!

I know I was younger probably like 7 or 8, my grandma had taken all five of us grand kids to a summer party. She saw jello and thought hey the kids love jello.... Needless to say they were Jell-O shots and we had a bunch of them!

This is the same for me. I have some really great/funny stories from other times drinking over that past 10ish years, but I reallly dont remember the first time getting drunk being anything great. I think it was just a party at my friends house I was 15.

I was 16/17 and I decided that since it was my first time home alone without brother or anyone for a weekend that I was gonna have a small party with my friend. Well she decided to invite EVERY single guy she knew in an attempt to get some. A few hours later there's like 8 dudes hanging out back on the patio with me daring me to keep taking shots of the Handle of Captains I had got and managed to convince me to drink almost half of it alone. For some reason I got drunk clarity and kicked their asses out at this point, I was shitfaced to mind you so I don't know where the mental clarity came from. I then go to find my friend since she had been missing for a bit. She was in my moms linen closet hooking up with a kid a grade or two lower than us. I lost my mind on her, my mom is a neat freak and they were on top of the Clean blankets and sheets! He got all embarrassed and ran out of the house while pulling his pants up and she gave me the WTF look. I just closed the door on her told her should could sleep there so she would remember to clean it when she woke up the next day.

Needless to say I had a ferocious hang over the next day and didn't touch captains for years after that. Mom had no clue and I lived by moderation for years after that happened.

Wow I am super boring! I didn't have my first sip of alcohol until I was almost 22. I grew up in a home where it wasn't allowed and a church where a drop of it meant you were an alcoholic who needed to be saved so you wouldn't end up in hell. My Dh's family has a history of alcoholism so we both had decided to stay away. Our friend turned 21 and convinced us to try 7&7's they were fantastic! I remember sitting on the couch looking at the ceiling and telling everyone that when I turned my head the ceiling took a little bit to catch up. Apparently I did that for like a half an hour. Not sure if I was completely drunk or not but a few years later another friend took us to an exclusive party at a bar and I only remember bits and pieces of the night. One of them included my husband puking on me after we were home.

It was at DH's (then BF) friend's apartment. I think it was on a bunch of Kahula drinks (nasty). I threw up in their bushes and walked through a screen door.

My first time drunk I was 14 and I was hanging out with my older sis and her friends. She was dared to drink a big glass of bacardi 151 but she refused so I took it for her. It was not a good experience going down it burned like hell. I learned my lesson. haha after that I was more into beer. I am not much of a drinker anymore but when I was a teenager I did enjoy those type of parties.

Fist time I got drunk I was 17 in Cancun Mexico. I had 7 double shot glasses of cheap taquilla. By the time I pressed the 5th floor in the lobby I was already wasted.

My boyfriend was with me. I kept telling him we are soooo gonna go clubbing. I was trying to put my platforms on but was too drunk, he kept throwing them across the room because he knew I was in no condition to go out. Then he pulled me by my underwear and they ripped. He ended up tying them together, but not leaving enough space for me to get my leg through. After this, I blacked out for 3+ hours! he told me I started throwing up everywhere and he had to wash me in the tub. To this day i still don't know what happened in the time I blacked out. I had to fly home the following morning. After this, i didnt have a drink from 17 to 21.

My first time I was 17 at a friends house. We had the fire department called on us. Yes the fire department not cops. My friend was up in her bedroom with her BF and one of his friends lit a firecracker by there door. Well it turns out her fire alarms are attached to a security system and the called fire department. After that there was a lot of dancing around and on tables. That is really all I can remember.

I was in the 6th grade I beleive and went to spend the night over at a friends house. Her mom had a huge liquor collection and had passed out for the night. I decided it'd be a good idea to go around and take a swig or two of each bottle.. I got soooo drunk I threwup at the bottom of their stairs and passed out with my head on the toliet seat. Her mom woke up and had to clean up the throw up. I told her I just got sick a lot from acid reflux (which I did.. ) I had the worst hangover ever and me and the girl had to stop being friends.. lol

I was 17 and at a Harry Potter convention in Vegas. I was hanging out with some friends in their hotel suite and we ended up drinking together, it was my first time having alcohol. By the end of the night, the hotel's hot tub was overflowing with bubbles and someone had pinned this napkin to the door of the room we were all gathered in (likely due to all the sloppy making out going on inside).
