  Maybe, maybe not....I went into true labor a few hours after DH and I had sex at 40w 3d with DD. But I had been having irregular contractions for days before that though, so who knows if that pushed things over the edge or what. I honestly don't know if I can manage it this time, but if I'm late and desperate enough, I probably will suck it up.

  By "it" you mean the smile on your DH's face? Cause yes, that might come out again.
  
  All the "natural" induction methods have anecdotal evidence of success. It may work for some... it may be coincidence. Really, when it's time "it" will come out, whether that be by labor starting by itself or being helped along medically.

  It could speed things along but not if your body isn't ready to begin with. If it was that easy, they wouldn't need potocin.

  I just learnt this in my birthing class the other day! Then I went out and bought a fresh bottle of lube to jump Mr.MM with when he gets here

  I swear its been helping me progress but I couldve just been doing that on ny own so who knows. I know its making my F happy even though the belly gets in the way so its a win win.. can't hurt to try.

  Even though I saw this thread title multiple times...and even clicked on it...I just read it as "getting it out...HOW does sex work?" And I was so confused as to how someone is 35-38 weeks pregnant...and doesn't know how sex works...

  I went for a checkup on a Thursday with no signs of labor (mucus plug, cervix, etc was unfavorable). We had sex 4x in 24 hours, and DD1 came on a Saturday 6 hours after the last time so I'm a believer! We will see how it goes with DD2 at week 38

  4 times in 24 hours sounds dreadful.
  
  With DS we had sex and I was in labor hours later. Could have just been coincidence or it could have triggered it. Never hurts to try. We're planning on many sexy times this weekend.

  With my first 2 I had lots of sex. Both were over due(1st induced) so there's really no telling if sex had anything to do with it, for it was clearly time for them to come out anyway. It certainly didn't help them come on time.

  I had DS around 12 hours after sex, but I had been having contractions for weeks before that.  I was on bedrest/pelvic rest since 32 weeks.  So it might have been a coincidence, but maybe not.

  I have no clue, it didn't work for us with DD, we tried everything... castor oil, spicy food, bumpy roads, laps around the mall, sex... we even had sex the night before we got induced... I was over 40 Weeks, and nothing... Not a thing! She was like, no, nuh-uh, I like it in here, haha!

  Well seeing as I had sex with DH yesterday and then wound up at L&D for contractions three minutes apart, I'd say yes. Yes it works.
  
  (They had to give me two shots and a bag of fluids before the contractions stopped...took about 5 hours. Not fun.)

  @hckygrl909- when our MW told us it helps, The second we got in the car DH says to me! " yes! More sex for me!" I don't mind it though because of all this rib pain!

  I've been on bedrest and pelvic rest since week 26. I'm being induced on Dec 2nd at 37 wks. Wondering if I can get one of those nookie prescriptions at my next appointment? Seriously...jealous...
