DH Xmas gifts

I'm so on top of things this year- got almost all my gifts for the girls and family BUT I'm totally stuck on what to get for DH. He's impossible- if there's something he wants, he buys it for himself immediately. So, inspire me: What fun gifts are you getting your DH this year? TIA!

    I got him tickets to the Cirque show that comes up here. I have about $20 left in my budget for him so I will get a few small things too.

    A new money clip...the spring on his now is so loose, it doesn't hold at all. A shirt from activate apparel....different sayings show up when you sweat (he's a gym rat). A joint present for the both of us is getting a few small things to start us off to turn our garage into a gym. Disneyland is awesome! We are doing a family "Christmas" trio to Disney world next December. I put Christmas in quotes because we are going the first week of December so it won't be as crowded

    He recently started making beer with a friend as a hobby this year apparently they are pretty good (I don't drink beer). I am getting him a steel pot that he wants for that and a kit to make their next beer. We also said that Disney World is our gift.

    I know my parents are getting him an ipad.
    I have no idea what I am getting him. We often just get something for the house (or in that vein) we both want.

    His power tool set was stolen so I'm going to replace it. He loves to build things and he has a list of "to dos" a mile long. We both win with this gift

    I totally would if I knew what the hell an impact driver drill was.  Or, like...what brands of tools are decent.  But I know none of these things.

    My dad seriously always takes the cake in this category.  I think he got him some sort of drill thing last year that my husband loves.  And the fact that I just referred to it as "some sort of drill thing" makes me uniquely unqualified for this task.

    Ha he was SO excited when I gave it to him--I kind of shoved the box at him and was like, "I don't understand this thing but I know you'll like it".

    yeah...that sucker is another $100. at least that is how it was at lowes.
    The one I got him came with 2 batteries and a charger. But yeah that would be annoying!

    DH told me to buy a camera and have that be the gift for both of us. yeah, thats not gonna fly. i'll get the camera and get him an air compressor and another xbox live membership and maybe the new COD game.

    @LuckySquare I'm right there with you. DH wants a PS4 but finances have been super tight and DH is in Marine Corps Police Academy so his checks went down like $350 so since like Aug, we have been struggling. He's supposed to be getting his GI bill while he's in Academy, but what do you know? The VA has been sitting on their ass the last few months. We were supposed to have it by beginning of October. I'll be surprised if we get it by the end of the year

    @LuckySquare yea he will get back pay so there's a light at the end of the tunnel but who knows when we will get it. Every time we get a date, someone else sits on their ass and delays it. Praying its before Christmas or we are screwed.

    @LuckySquare DH has called the VA four times this week. Whatever office he faxed his info to and is supposed to put it in the system for the VA hasn't done it yet. He keeps asking different people at the VA if there is a number he can call to find out why it's been two weeks and they haven't processed it, but the VA tells him there isn't (which I don't understand why). So he faxed it twice and here's to hoping the VA gets it by beginning of next week!

    I don't have a hubby to get anything for this year but when I did I would make up a basket of goodies.
    There's usually a booth/kiosk set up in the mall this time of year that sells all kinds of locally made jerky, sausage, cheeses etc. they can be expensive but if you have the extra cash then it's a nice add-in item for the basket. So I'd get that, a 4pk of his favourite gum, some toothpicks (he couldn't live without those things), a little keychain item engraved with something sweet on it, a pair of gloves, pistachios/almonds, a new xbox game, some work socks..he also smoked so I'd get him a new Zippo lighter engraved every year too..basically a basket with a bunch of cool dude stuff lol. He would always love it :)
