My DH is awesome because...

Can we make this a thing? Like whenever our partners do something awesome we give them kudos here?

My husband is awesome because he bought me sparkling cider when I lamented about not being able to celebrate anything with alcohol.

He also has started being really sweet and letting me call every (and I mean EVERY) shot when we sleep together.

And when I cry he gets frustrated at first but then gets over himself and hugs me until my hormones settle.

  • That's sweet! What a nice husband.

  • I think this is a great idea! The hubs dropped everything the other night and came in and rubbed my back when I woke up in a panic because my back went numb. I didn't really think about it because I was so freaked/ frustrated/ half sleep but thank God for husbands.

My hubby made cinnamon rolls this morning! And he made dinner tonight and cleaned up the living room (with DD's help) even though he had a headache. He is the BEST SAHD.

  • My boyfriend is wonderful .. the other night after he got home from work.. he got out in very cold weather a little before midnight because I had to have Burger King ... He does the laundry and dishes most of the time !!
I'm so very lucky to have a man that cares for me so deeply that whatever I ask he tries to do !!

  • Every time he comes home or is on his way to see me anywhere, he asks if I'm craving anything. Lately he's been bringing home egg salad sandwiches "just in case." I also just had a minor freak out and needed to make sure there was still a baby in there. He offered to run out and find a store that was open where he could buy a Doppler!

  • Hubby has been amazing all through this first trimester. He immediately started helping me with things around the house such as dishes and cleaning. He does the laundry because it requires carrying the basket down 2 flights of stairs to the basement.

He preps whenever we have a recipe that uses raw meat ( the smell makes me nauseous).

And he's always giving me forehead kisses, and little back rubs and being so nice even when I'm moody and mean :)

Tomorrow I'm making him his favorite holiday cookies as a thank you for him being such a good DH.

  • My husband has been wonderful as well. When I'm tired and feel like I'm being a lazy wife/mom he reminds me that I'm doing a good job. Even though money has been a little tight (we are saving for my unpaid maternity leave) he has bought me all the maternity clothes that I want so that I feel comfortable.

  • I couldn't stop thanking my husband last night. I wanted fresh fruit so bad last night and he went out and bought me some. He'd been working the previous night and was running on 4 hours of sleep and he still did something so thoughtful for me! He's been a doll through the pregnancy so far, even if I haven't.

I love my DH so much- he has been incredible this entire pregnancy. He never questions when I ask him to do something (which I try not to abuse as he so readily will do it! And is always so concerned when anything is wrong- even just normal ms he hug me and say he's sorry I have to go through it. And whenever I just feel exhausted he always orders me to bed- it's cute. When I complain about feeling pudgy or unattractive he always tells me how wrong I am and how sexy I am and how much he loves me. He is just such an unwavering support and rock it really is amazing and just one of the reasons I married him.

  • My husband is the best because he's really stepped up since we moved this year and I'm such a miserable and depressed person this pregnancy and he's really trying to make me feel better and take care of the house and kids.

    Love this idea!!

My husband is awesome because after working an 80 hour week, he still plays on the floor with the kids, compliments the dinner I made, and helps me clean the kitchen at the end of the night. He also randomly bought me a card last week, which is not at all normal for him, he just knew I needed a little boost. Love that man!

  • Awww what great daddies-to-be, we're lucky ladies. :)

I really couldn't ask for more, DH has catered to every whim, ache and craving I've had. I have a very demanding job so between that and grad school and pregnancy and life, sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy. Honestly don't know what I'd do without him, he is my rock.

And I'm pretty sure he won a few thousand brownie points for buying my favorite candy and watching "This Is Us" with me! (I guess my FFWC is that I'm a closeted Directioner)

  • He does a host of small things everyday to look out for my well-being (will not let me climb over the dog gate anymore, loads the dishwasher, takes out the trash etc.), he loves and more importantly respects me...which I know sounds like a basic thing but I've seen some friends' hubbies who are not even capable of that, takes the dog out at night so I don't get cold, comes with me to my doctor's appts, and most recently, he bought a new leaf blower and did the entire front of the house yesterday. I'm always thankful for him!

  • My husband is awesome because he helps with...everything around the house. He cooks (very well), he cleans, does dishes, does laundry. I do, too, but he's been a huge help, especially when I haven't felt good or have been too sleepy to function. :) Also, he's taking me to see Catching Fire tomorrow night!

  • He is awesome because he loves me and our kids so much. He got them off to school before he left fhis morning and he cooked dinner last night. Awesome dude.
  • My DH has always been awesome, but even more so since I got pregnant and symptoms started kicking in. There's too many things to share here, but the other night we got home after seeing friends and it was 10pm. Waaaaaay past my bedtime these days! He was sweet and said "how about I take the dogs out? (I had offered earlier because he took them out in the morning) You just go to bed and work on growing our baby." So cute. Gosh, I love this man!

  • There are so many things that make DH wonderful but mainly he gives me nightly foot rubs, always does the dishes and pretends to be excited about cleaning the litter box.

  • My husband is awesome because he never gets mad when I request something for dinner in the morning but come home too sick or tired to eat it. He just puts it in the fridge for lunch and breaks out the ice cream.

  • My husband is awesome because he had vacuumed the whole house by the time I came home and I didn't have to ask. Also he has kept telling me how beautiful I am even though I am a feeling like a whale and my skin has started to breakout like crazy. Sure he might be lying, but it's nice to feel loved :)

  • My hubby is amazing because he didn't mind When we moved back home (this past May) I didn't look for a job. Mostly because I was dealing with loosing my father unexpectedly a week after we moved. And now that I'm pregnant he openly praises me for wanting to stay at home and raise our soon to be child instead of going back to work. I miss having students but being at home has been a blessing expecially since I've been high risk and on bed rest since 9weeks.
  • DH has picked up my "lack of cooking" slack, and has been cooking for the two of us lately. Surprisingly, most of it has been pretty yummy. :)

  • Yesterday he took the dog to the vet, did the grocery shopping, and made dinner. He also lets me snuggle onto him when I get into bed and my side of the bed is all cold.

  • I wouldn't know where to start... Anticipates all of my needs/wants/desires.. Is supportive, gentle, loving, intuitive, passionate, devoted, talented, understanding, intelligent, affectionate, protective, loyal, practical, gentle yet strong, fun/funny... A family man.. Always ensures I'm well taken care of and reminds me multiple times daily how much I mean to him and shows his appreciation often for so many things.. We're absolute best friends, and I thank God every day for him...
    Thank you for this post!!
  • Great idea!

I also don't know where to start. DH has been nothing but amazing this whole pregnancy. (Mind you he's working 4 hrs away so he's really not around enough to get on my nerves lol)

The biggest thing I value is when he brings up the topic of baby. I love when he just randomly states how excited he is :). Also I've had lots of break downs and it just takes a quick phone call with him and he always knows how to calm me down. He knows exactly what I need.
  • My husband is amazing because while he isn't real domestic, he is amazingly sweet and thoughtful in a million other ways - orgasmic impromptu foot massages, his fuzzy face against my belly talking to our baby, love and encouragement. He's my best friend, and while we often drive each other crazy, we're always crazy about each other and madly in love.

We are clearly all very lucky ladies to have such awesome gents in our lives.
  • My hubby has been awesome too! He commutes to school (which is a 4 hour drive round trip) and then goes straight to work. He works 7 days a week. Even with tons of homework and exhaustion he still comes home and takes care of our 18 month old so I can have a break. He even does the laundry and cleans up if I need help :)
  • I'm a little embarrassed to admit how good I have it. My husband cooks for me, cleans, and does laundry. He even grocery shops. I have been... sleeping! He even gets me gas. We have a deal that he can go out for ice cream guilt free every time he gets gas. Haha I have a dairy allergy so it's all good w me!!
  • My hubs is awesome because he got me a burrito bowl from Chipotle... I may not have a bump but I sure as hell have a food baby!
  • My husband is awesome because he cooks dinner every single night now and has it ready to go when I get home from work.Which sometimes means we are eating at 3:30/4:00 and he doesn't complain. Oh and he has been putting up with my crazy ass hormones, including the time I had a melt down in Wal-mart because I couldn't find the orange juice. ;) Thank god for my DH.

  • I already posted once but I have more to add. Not only is my DH awesome, but so is my dad. DH worked 12 hours today plus he has to go check on employees who are training on overnights tonight. My dad "commutes" from where we live in Nebraska to DC during the week.

This afternoon I went down to switch out laundry and found our washing machine full of water. DH got home from work, my dad got off a plane and they both got right to work
trying to fix it while I snuggle DD on the couch.

    I'm a lucky girl.

  • My husband is awesome because when I asked for yogurt he made me blueberry pancakes that were delicious AND lunch to take to work.

  • Last night he went to the food store out of the blue and not only bought me the ice cream I mentioned looked good on tv but all my favorite fixings to make me a sundae! Also I left for work a little before him yesterday and had pots soaking from the night before in the sink to wash when I got home (normally unlike me and drives me crazy but I was just too tired to do it the night before) they were all cleaned and put away when I got home from work. :)

He has been doing things for me to make life easier since all I want to do is sleep and to make me smile which means so much - I truly feel so lucky and blessed!

  • Today he agreed to sit inside, since smokers outside were making me sick. It's small, but I know he likes being outside a lot more than hanging in the break room before work. :)
