When is your LO napping these days?
Our schedule is all kinds of thrown off. She wakes up at 5:30, and is falling asleep by 9. Then she refuses to take an afternoon nap, so she's up for like 7 to 8 hours. I do not like this schedule at all, but I'm not sure how to fix it.
Re: Nap schedule
DD is still pretty consistent. Wakes around 6:15 or 6:30 am, naps 9-10 am, and naps again 1-2:30 or 3 pm. Asleep at night around 7:30 pm.
It takes her a little longer to fall asleep at naptime than it used to. We also have to wake her up from her morning nap at 10 am because if she sleeps too long in the morning, she won't take her afternoon nap.
On the weekends if we're out and about we can do one two hour nap be it in the morning or afternoon. If we're staying in then he usually needs two because he's not distracted from his exhaustion.
First one about 2.5 hours after he wakes up which is normally between 6:30 & 7. The second is after about 3.5ish hours of awake time. Usually about 3 hours total. On Sunday he took two 2 hour naps. It was glorious.
He goes to bed around 7:30.
Nap 10-noon
Nap 3:30-4:30
Bedtime at 8:00
Now, that is a daycare day. She still seems to need two naps on daycare days. At home on the weekends, we've changed up the schedule and are playing with one nap. It often looks like this:
Up by 7:30 (she'll typically wake on her own by 7:15)
Nap around 11:15-close to 2:00
In bed around 7:00ish
We're still tweaking that weekend schedule, though.
Typically, he is up at 7:30ish, naps from 11:30-2, then bed at 8. But all this will change starting Monday when I start my new job and have to wake him up at 6:15...this should be fun..
Baby #2!
Ugh. Naps were in transition from 2 to 1 for a few weeks before the time change, so inconsistent. And then after the change, DS started waking up at 5, so he was back to two naps, which were at about 9 and 2. (Bedtime at 7.)
I think he needs 1.5 naps right now...I think for the last week, he has taken a short one in the car in the morning (anywhere from 8:30 to 10) and then a normal one around 2 p.m.
I don't love doing the car thing, but three days a week we have no choice about driving at that time (DD's preschool and church) and I don't want to be stuck at home all day if he doesn't take a nap in his crib in the morning. I always try that first if we are home.
