YUP. I just quoted Eminem to all of you. GOOD DAY!
Hi. I'm new! I got my BFP yesterday! My EDD is July 24th which is the day Harry Potter received his letter from Hogwarts, I'LL THANK YOU.
I'm 25 and my husband is 26. We have two children already (Technically, they're my stepchildren, but I love them like they are my own. And yes, their mom and I get along. We're close friends!) and C will be eight when this baby arrives and T will be five.
I'm a parenting blogger/freelance writer and will be a stay-at-home mom. I guess, really, I'll be a WAHM, but my work takes me about ten hours per week to complete, so I'm going to try and manage those deadlines when my husband's home to help. We live in a small town of about 400 just an hour south of Atlanta.
I like classic television, baking, quoting really vulgar movie lines and twinkle lights.
And, so this is more like a post than a plain ol' intro, when are you all having your first appointments? My husband's great-aunt is a midwife and has delivered ALL of his siblings, cousins and all of their children over the past thirty years. I, obviously, am seeing her, so when my husband called her yesterday, she booked me an appointment for TODAY at 1! I'll be five weeks tomorrow, but I'm kind of freaking out. I'll be going alone and um, *knock on wood*, but I've never had medical issues or needed to see anyone, so the thought of blood draws and everything are making me queasy. I know, LABOR'S GOING TO BE FUN.
What can I expect during the first appointment?
I can't wait to get to know all of you! *confetti*

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.

*****Siggy Warning*****
I have a "pregnancy interview" on Friday. They said they'll talk about what to expect money-wise with my insurance, go over health history, and do-s and don't-s. I'm also assuming that they'll do a blood test or something to confirm the pregnancy (hopefully?)
It's possible that I'm a week less pregnant than my LMP would suggest so I'm hoping to talk about that with them as well!
