Awaiting our next growth scan to determine if we're going to be hospitalized for close monitoring. Baby A is hovering around 18th percentile and has a disrupted cord flow. Baby B is doing great. No TTTS. Woohoo! We do however have a case of unequal placental sharing.
One week from today I'll be exactly 25 weeks. We'll have a growth scan and if Baby A is hovering closer to the 10th percentile we will be admitted right away.
The hospital we will go to is about an hour away from home. My question is for MoMs who have been in this position. What did you take with you to the hospital?
I'll pack for a couple weeks for me not worried about that. What I really want to know is what I'll need for the girls. Should I get some premie clothes ready? Pacifiers? Diapers? Will the hospital provide this stuff? I'm assuming they'll be there for a long time. How does this work? What did you need?
Thanks!

Re: Question for MoMs who were hospitalized early (around 25 weeks)
I had my laptop, but I was sent over directly from the MFM's office bc of my problems (mentioned above) and didn't have a chance to really prepare for the long haul..
DH later brought me some DVD's since my room TV had a dvd player, and he also bought a cheapo universal remote so I didn't have to use those dumb up and down buttons on the bed rail. He also kept me stocked up with non-perishable snacks since I did not have a mini fridge the first few weeks until I was moved into a different room that had one. My nurses found a shower stool that was so helpful. Being a polite and good patient had its perks.. kept my spirits up and many of the nurses brought me some non-cafeteria take out when they were placing orders.,, extra pillows,,, flushie potty wipes,,,
I was allowed to wear my own clothes and that helped keep my spirits up. A daily routine kept my sanity.
I did bring one set of premie outfits (not expensive) and some friends dropped off baby gifts/clothes to me while I was there.
I'd also purchased my carseats ahead of time since there was not a BRU or any real baby store around that sold in-store the 4lb minimum carriers that would be appropriate for little babies.
The NICU nurses gave me the hookup with premie and newborn diapers and 6 or 7 Soothie paci's. They also gave me several of the disposable premie sized bottle rings and nipples since B wasn't latching. They knew I'd been there for several weeks and therefore did not have the chance to prepare better. But I"ve heard some nurses aren't that generous. This is a great benefit to making friends with the nursing and care staff so they are well aware of your situation and will be more compassionate (hopefully).
Since my girls were still in the NICU after I was released and I was over 3 hours from home, I was able to stay at a Ronald McDonald House for several days until they were released to go home. It was a such a blessing but it is a bare minimum housing. They provide sheets, but you may still need a few things there, if you end up staying there. I think their requirement is that you live more than 45min to an hour from the hospital.. That may vary from House to House, though.
Best wishes for everything to go smoothly for you and your LO's!
Also bring your own pillow since the hospital ones aren't really comfy and your own blanket or throw if you like the comforts of home. My rooms had mini fridges so I had lots of snacks and drinks, but most of my food came from the hospital. They were pretty good at feeding me and brought me snacks and meals through out the day. I also had some crafts, knitting which I never got the hang of and a cross point. Ear plugs and headphones are also a good idea since the hospital can be noisy sometimes.
The hospital will give you pacifiers and diapers so don't worry about that just yet. If they are very premature, they won't be wearing clothes for weeks of months so don't put that #1 on your list. Maybe a good shower gift? Also I never had a baby shower and really really wish someone would have given me one while I was in the hospital. Keep that as a possibility too. Another thing, you may also want to get info on breast pump rentals/purchases ahead of time since I think it is mandatory covered by insurance now. That way when the babies arrive and you discharge you won't be scrambling to get a pump. I also highly recommend a pumping bra. My hospital's gift shop sold them but you can buy them online too. Good luck, I'm rooting for many more weeks of baby growing for you!

We decided with the holiday weekend coming up that we would admit me on Monday. I'll be 26 weeks at that point.
Should I pack for over a week and expect the hospital to do my laundry? Should my husband do my laundry? If all is going well my baby shower is on Sunday the 8th. What are the chances they discharge me for a day to go to my baby shower? Thanks everyone!
