baths

Who is using the actual bathtub and who is using the baby tub?

Tonight DH sat in the bathtub with her and she got her first "big girl" bath.  Just curious what everyone else was doing at this point.

Re: baths

  • LO uses the blow up tub. It's pretty much exactly like the big tub only I need to use 1/2 the water to fill it up.

  • I am waiting until we move to our house to give a big boy bath. When we were using baths in the hotels when we were in PA and NY a week ago, he loved it.

  • We just put a bath mat down in the tub and lay Camden on it. We fold up a small towel to put under his head. He loves it! He lays there and kicks and splashes everywhere. Just have to watch him close so he doesn't roll over.

  • If DD bathes solo then she's in the baby tub. I sometimes bathe her with her big brother in the big bath tub and just hold on to her.

  • DD2 goes in the regular bathtub with DD1. They LOVE it but some nights, like tonight, more water ends up outside the tub than inside!

  • DS has been in the big bathtub for a few months now, but I'm thinking of giving my old blow-up tub a try (if it still works!) because he is always trying to roll over, and I'm a little nervous about letting him sit in just the big tub.

  • I just tried him in the big boy tub and he had fun, but he gets so slippery I'm nervous he's going to slip forward and hit his head. I think I'm going to try the laundry basket idea or get an inflatable to put in there.  He loves splashing around!

We are doing neither....? Lol it's the only "tub" I've been able to find that fits them both. I'm too afraid to brave them both in the big tub in case they both decide to go swimming at the same time. I wouldn't know who to save first. :/

    Brilliant!!!!!!!!

  • We still use the baby bathtub in the big bathtub also but that won't last much longer.

  • been using a baby tub but I was thinking about getting a bath ring or bath seat so he can get a big boy bath. Is it pointless now because of his age?

  • Both kids go in together. She does fine sitting up and loves to splash in the water.

  • I'm still using the bath mesh seat. She sits really well but is so slippery when wet.

  • He's in the regular bathtub. Loves to splash!
  • My baby giant is still in the mesh insert in the tub in the kitchen sink! I want to move him to the big tub but his schedule is an hour earlier than ds1 and I can't seem to coordinate it all without bathing him in the kitchen so I can keep an eye on my big one. It's a mess!
  • We use a puj tub in the sink for LO until he starts to sit up on his own better.  Then we'll just use the sink by itself.  Probably use that as long as possible so I don't have to bend over the bathtub.

This. We are using a blow up transition rubber ducky one in the bathtub for a little bit. He loves it!

  • We put Fiona in a reclining bath chair in the big tub and she seems to like it...although I think she'd like sitting up and splashing around better! Just wish I weren't so worried about her slipping.
  • We are in the baby tub set inside the big tub. Its just easier.  She has been in the big tub when visiting the in laws.  They don't have any "non-slippy" things in the tub so she was able to make herself slide around on her butt. She loved it.  She would make herself slide towards the faucet and I would push her back to the other end. It was a game to her.

  • Right now the girls take turns in the mesh bath chair I have, while big brother is also in the bath.  But, I am loving @jordynleighx3 solution!  I may have to try that tonight!  The girl need a bath tonight and I'm by myslef, might keep them from having to take a cold bath one at a time.  And forget about doing it along with the 2 yo on the loose!

This is me, too. Too nervous about the big tub! He is still bathing in his Whale of a Tub.
