So my FB has been filling up with random facts about people. So give me 5 random facts about you.

1. I have a rod in my shinbone.

2. I went on a trip to Santiago, Chile my senior year of college, fully paid by the Wichita Catholic Diocese.

3. Since moving to ND 6 years ago I believe I have SAD.

4. I drink entirely too many of my calories per day. (And was starving this morning after drinking a 320 calorie snack last night.)

5. I didn't run prior to having DD3 and this year I did three 5k's, a 10k, a marathon relay and a half marathon.

6. Bonus, I always mail out my Christmas cards the day before Thanksgiving.

1. DH and I met at a Blue October concert, it is still our favorite band to listen to together.

2. I have been randomly pushed down by two famous athletes when i was a kid. Greg Norman ran into me at a golf tournament, and Hakeem Olajuwon hit me with a door. They both gave me signed balls which I lost.

3. I can't sit still unless I am reading. Like can't do it. Breastfeeding is only possible because I can walk and nurse with my breast friend pillow.

4. I am proficient in American Sign Language and have several deaf friends I see a couple of times a year.

5. Our whole family has birthdays that fall on holidays and end in a 4.

1. I got married in Vegas.

2. I LOVE weddings and really want to renew our vows and throw a huge party for all our friends! Oh and wear a pretty dress!

3. I love to cook and eat at fancy restaurants, but I don't eat raw tomatoes and/or raw onions.

4. I'm the only child in my entire family on my mom's side {2 step cousins} and my step dad has a nephew, but we don't talk to them.

5. That is NOT what's wrong with me.

3. I'm vowing to make it to Hawaii by my 30th birthday (2 years away). I should really start playing the lottery.

4. Reading is my favorite. I'd do it all day long if I could.

5. I hate winter and cold weather with everything inside of me. I wish my entire family would agree to move somewhere warm.

5. It doesn't feel like Christmas to me until I've started my Christmas baking.

1. I am bilingual, but have totally dropped the ball on speaking Spanish to my children. It just doesn't come naturally, and getting through the day in English takes enough energy. I keep meaning to work on it.

2. I have two awesome sisters. We are all completely different, but we never argue. There is a lot of love and respect between us. I hope my children have a similar relationship.

3. I have had plastic surgery. It took three surgeries to fix my nose. I also detest my ears, but surgery just made one of them pointier. My daughter got my ears. It made me really sad when two people who know my self consciousness pointed it out to me. I think she is perfect, and I hope she has more self-confidence.

4. My DH and I are not at all alike. I often wonder how we even became a couple, let alone got married. We rarely agree on anything, other than how we raise our children. It works for us. We both like a challenge :-)

5. I am very social, but have very few friends. I am often jealous of people who have longtime childhood friends, or a big social group. I cherish the ones I have, though.

1. I've traveled to almost every continent, and dozens of countries, yet despite my serious travel bug, I still live in the city I was was born in. Still haven't found somewhere better

2. I was a Ukrainian dancer for 12 years.

3. I don't drink alcohol. Like, at all.

4. I have a decent amount of aunts and uncles but ended up with no cousins! How does that happen??

5. My middle toe is longer than all my other ones, same as my dad.

1. I have a scar on the back of my ankle from a hot pie.
2. I lived in Europe for a short period of time.
3. I tend to get along better with men than other women.
4. I love to travel. I especially love Europe.
5. I'll eat cookies, but I don't really like them. I've been invited to three cookie exchanges and I have no desire to go to any of them. Now if they were generic dessert exchanges I would be more enthusiastic.

I have no gallbladder, and almost died before it was out. It was dangerously large, they said it could have burst. It was so filled with stones. I was in immense pain when I got to the "end", that I was up with attacks for nearly 6 hours overnight for a week, it was worse than any child labor pains I had. I seriously thought I was dying.

I've never had a cavity, never had a toothache, never had any teeth/tooth issues ever.

I was married in the Netherlands. My ceremony was in half dutch/half english. Her english was SO crappy, I seriously have no idea WTF was said at my wedding. I'm probably not even married, for all I know (ok, that's not really true). Really though, I barely understood my own wedding ceremony.

I had to be held back a year in Kindergarten. I missed my mom so much, that I forced myself to vomit in school, every day, so they would send me home. I did this for 2 months before they decided I wasn't ready. I tried it again the next year, but it didn't work. Eventually I stopped.

I'm scared to talk on the phone. I actually shake a bit, racing heart, get nervous. I HATE THE PHONE.

1. I met DH on the second day of college. Unfortunately, I was dating someone else. DH thought I was a snob and I thought he was a geek. Goes to show first impressions can't always be trusted.

2. I have an older brother and sister. Before my sister and I got married, all three of us had the same initials, first, middle, and last.

3. I love penguins.

4. I have never been to Canada, even though I'm in ND, so the border is only a few hours drive.

5. I don't like alcohol.

1: I have always seen myself as a mother of boys. I have a hard time feeling like a good mom to my step daughter.
2: I love love love sushi but rarely get to it becuase there are no places around here.
3: my now husband took me to San Diego for our first Xmas dating, it was on that trip that I decided I could marry him. We had been dating about 4 months.
4: my first husband was 9 years older than me.
5: I love giving presents way more than getting them, all year round, not just Xmas.

1. i went to 3 colleges. lasted only a few weeks at the first but graduated w/ a 4.0 from the last & received the outstanding graduate award for our department (voted by the professors.) people CAN change.
2. in every race i've done, i've run every single step, no walking at all. even after literally running into a traffic cone during my half marathon.
3. i can't bring myself to pay $5 for a coffee drink but for a fantastic beer? hell yes.
4. i'm a big procrastinator....but what i lack in planning i more than make up for in execution. my parties are fabulous & every detail thought out, i'd write term papers in a single night while in college and aced almost all of them, & i when i do get crafty the result is pinterest worthy if i do say so myself

5. i am drawn to blues & greens. my favorite colors are apple green & aqua (and i have rooms painted these colors.) like for a while i had to force myself to buy different color clothes. if you believe in astrology, it's because i'm a pisces.

1. Even though I'm loud, obnoxious, and sarcastic, I actually have pretty bad anxiety, especially in social situations. A lot of my friends think I'm lying when I tell them, because I hide it well.

2. I also have OCD. Not in the hand washing/counting kind of way, more on the hoarder end of the spectrum. I can still see my floors, keep my bed clear, and usually eat at the table, so I think I'm doing all right.

3. My degree is in theatrical costuming, and I love all things Victorian. I would wear bustle dresses around town if I could.

4. I took so many literature classes in college that I accidentally minored in English lit.

5. I have worked in two different pet stores and owned many different pets, but my favorite pet ever was a one-eyed hairless rat named Isis. She was fully potty trained and came when called.

1. I got married on a hot air balloon.
2. I mostly eat the same exact foods everyday. My kids are the same way.
3. I have really prominent hip bones. Even when i was borderline obese you could still see them. Both of my kids have them too.
4. I went on a girls trip to napa valley shortly after graduating college. There's a picture of me very intoxicated, fully clothed in a water fountain and drinking water from One of the spouts. Grossness.
5. I'm really self depricating and don't take myself too seriously. It served me well in life as even in having glasses, braces and being scrawny as a kid I didn't get picked on.

I had a corneal transplant when DD1 was a year old.

All but two of my baby teeth were pulled, along with 4 adult teeth and my wisdom teeth. Apparently I have freakishly long and strong roots and a small mouth.

I could eat the same food every day and be perfectly happy.

I am very scared of rejection and being left out.

I want a dog so badly, but I'm not responsible enough to get one yet.

1. I am named after my dad and my name is unique(not made up but not common).

2. I hate tea(cold, hot, sweet, unsweet)...I was raised in the south and people here think I am crazy but I just can't stand the smell or taste of tea.

3. All 4 of my grandparents are still living.

4. I spent a semester in England during college and was able to backpack through Europe for 2 weeks during that time.

5. I only like milk when I am pregnant. I hated before I got pg with DS and then craved it during both pregnancies and now hate it again.

1. I only had heartburn a handful of times when I was pregnant, never before. The first time I thought I was dying. The name fits.

2. My favorite way to eat peanut butter is with a spoon.

3. I really enjoy playing with legos. Like more than a grown adult should.

4. I'm really snobby about beer.

5. We got married in Portland, and I want to go back just to visit the bakery we got our cake at. It was heavenly.

4. My belly button is freakishly deep and I hate people touching it. It kind of hurts.
5. I love Starbucks lattes, but don't like their coffee at all. I am loyal to my Timmies double double.

1- All of my sisters and I had the same initials- and since then 3/4 of us married men with the same last letter- so we still have the same initials.

2- I was at a frat party in college where there was a drive by shooting- very scary.

3- I dated a man 25 years older than me for 3 years- he was the "young" uncle of a friend and French.

4- I hate coffee

5- I sleep on average of 3-4 hours a night. I clean the majority of my house after 10pm when my DH goes to bed.

1) I would live in Alaska and homestead in a heartbeat. DH of course hates the cold and the kids need to much therapy.

2) I am deep in debt and it's taking every ounce of effort to stay on a budget.

3) I write a lot of posts and then hit delete because I think they're pointless

4) I am always freezing cold. I love to wear layers and do this all year round. I rarely wear shorts because I'm never warm enough.

5) I only cut my hair once every few years. The last time I donated 18 inches to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths.

1. I am the only girl out of all the grandkids. I have 4 brothers and 1 male cousin.

2. I went to college for the first semester (11 weeks) to be an interior designer. I spent my time with my roommate drinking, partying, and hanging out with bands that are now famous and weren't at the time.

3. I hate math. HATE it.

4. DH and I agreed on 2 kids and while I want another baby. I secretly wouldn't mind if I only had Zane.

5. Dh works in the oilfield and when people ask they give me the 'oh-so-you-are-rich' look which actually comes off as the 'oh-so-you-rub-in-peoples-faces-how-rich-you-are'. I actually hate when people ask. I'm not ashamed of what DH does by any means. I have once things-yes but I am humble about the whole thing.

@cnamom I am the same with my ears- I've had them double pierced since middle school- I wore sensitive solution earring- 14k gold. they would get infected and hurt- they are practically closed now- yet my belly button was pierced when I turned 18 and was out for 9 months when I was pregnant is still there... grrrr. I miss earrings- but I find cute clip on ones sometimes!

1. I am a huge procrastinator when it comes to packing for vacations or such and party planning. I will have lists made for weeks but wait until the absolute last minute possible to get everything done. I work better under pressure and everything always comes out fabulous. Like when I was pregnant with DS we painted the nursery at 38wks and were putting finishing touches on his room the day I went into labor.

2. I met my H in a bar that I used to work at. He was a regular and would come in after work some nights. I had a bf at the time and I eventually ended up leaving said bf for DH. Best decision ever.

3. I grew up in a huge sports family and always played softball and volleyball as well as attended a local dance studio. When it was time for high school tryouts I decided that I would rather concentrate on studying dance and gave up sports. While I love dance, to this day I kick myself for that decision and wonder where I could be or what my college options would have been had I not gave up sports.

4. I am a *HUGE* Detroit Tigers fan. It is literally another part of me. My dad had season tickets from the early 80's until the 2005 season. We were always going to games. My sons middle name actually came from my dads favorite player from when he was growing up.

5. I hate flying but hope to one day go to Italy, Ireland and Poland.

3. I had epilepsy as a child, but I grew out of it.

5.when I was growing up I never wanted to have kids. Now I can't imagine what life would be like without my boys.

1. I struggled a lot this year with being a SAHM and having 2 under 1 but now they are 2 and 14 months and Im having a blast!

2. I have lived on the same property my whole life! We are moving next month and I'm kinda sad!

3. My grandparents and parents own a string of small grocery stores and meat markets and it has made me very picky about what meat I eat!

4. It isn't a holiday around our house without some type of cajun food! Gumbo, boudain, étouffée or creole make an appearance every time!

5. I am a very indecisive person!! It takes me hours to make a weekly menu and I usually look at restaurant menus ahead of time bc it takes me so long!

1) I can't function sleep deprived. I never could. When I was pregnant with my first I needed 14 hours of sleep a night to function. I still need 9-10. Less and I will start dozing at the wheel (this has happened, thankfully I realized and pulled over). I'm incredibly grateful DH has flexible enough hours at work to ensure I get enough sleep

2) I'm 5' 3/4" tall and that 3/4" is very important to me! If it weren't for that last 1/4" DH would be a foot taller than me.

3) I have still only in my life heard of one other person born with the congenital defect I had (tracheoesophogeal fistula). When I landed it the ER with possible complications from it last year the entire cadriothoracic dept came running because they didn't know it was possible to have a survivor of this who was in their 30s.

4) I've been to Canada, England, Ireland, Belgium, France and twice to Italy but the only time I've set foot in Florida was using the Jacksonville airport to visit my mom when she lived in St. Simon's Island, GA. I live on the East Coast, which IMO makes this stranger.

5) My sister is pregnant with her first and I'm crazy excited about it! We're incredibly close and I can't wait to meet my niece or nephew!

1. I used to work at a bank and was robbed. Scariest moment of my life.

2. I don't like apples, but I like applesauce.

3. I discovered I had head lice when DD2 was about 2 weeks old. I attributed it to where I was working at the time. Nastiest fucking thing ever. Luckily, nobody else got it and I was able to get rid of them.

4. I still sleep with my childhood stuffed animal

5. I don't like carbonated drinks

1) On our first date I told my husband I wasn't having kids until I was married and I wasn't getting married ever. We got married 4 months later

2)I started driving when I was 10. I felt so cool driving that I didn't mind doing my chores

3) I wear a children's size shoe

4) I will be a quarter of a century older then my youngest sibling

5) Both my parents are married to people my age. My mom's husband is 18 months older then me and my dad's wife is 3 years older then me exactly .

1. French is my first language. I didn't speak much English until I went to school.
2. I grew up with several NHL players. I am still close friends with Brayden Holtby and his family.
3. I am a country music girl through and through.
4. I grew up on a large farm. I know how to drive a combine, swather and I can bale.
5. My mom is an incredibly talented artist and I can't draw a stick man very well!!
Bonus:
6. I met my DH in kindergarten on our first or second day. I was four and he was six. He was held back a year and I advanced early.

Lurker but I want to play....
1. My Ex boyfriend of 8 years was a professional football player and played for 2 NFL teams.
2. My favorite smells in the whole world are fresh cut grass and jasmine.
3. When I'm stressed out I picture myslef laying under a giant oak tree in an open field in the sunshine. It makes me stress less and I swear it is a vision from a past life.
4. My guilty pleasure is reading historical romance novels. I strte reading them as brain candy in law school and now can't stop.
5. My DH has about 5 different traits of someone I said I would never marry and I was smitten from the second I met him. I guess opposites do attract.

Ya know, I think you're the first person I know of with the same problem. My mother insisted that I have my ears pierced and had them redone every time they closed up. It was torture. I also had my belly button pierced but it got infected almost immediately and closed up. The removal was pretty nasty.

we are a rare breed apparently- my sister and mom wear all sorts of earrings. I cannot.

I recently thought about getting plastic post earrings- remember those? they came on heart cardboard with a calendar for the month and had a pair of earrings to wear everyday. maybe those won't hurt and make our ear holes freak out!
