Fireplace entertainment center

Does anyone have one of these? We do and the front gets kind of warm. Now I'm starting to get worried that it could be a burn hazard. A normal fireplace you'd put a screen in front of. These you couldn't. I need ideas for safety

    We stick the pack n play in front of it when it's on so she can't get to it. Plus, watch her really well.

    The one we have only the top inch gets hot. The part where the "fire" is does t get warm at all.

    This for me too...and I'd say it's pretty warm but not hot enough to burn or leave a mark if touched.

    Short of watching him/her near it no pack and play gate, chair etc is going to stop a mobile 8 month old.
