Re: ** Monday Multiples Check-in **

  • How are you feeling this week?  This week is bittersweet for me as it is the time where I usually begin to have issues.  Just praying that things will be different this time.

Any updates you want to share?  Last weeks appointment landed me on modified BR.  I had to cut my work week down to 3 days a week and I'm not allowed to walk more than 5 blocks a day.  I didn't realize how much I was actually doing until I tried to stop.  Hoping to prolong bedrest a few more weeks.  Anatomy scan is this coming Friday!  Growing pains are in full force and they hurt.  Just pushing myself up out of a chair hurts.  Any one else feel like this?

Vent Away: Nothing really this week.  Just the usual back and now hip pain.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet? I am feeling them a couple times a day now and can tell which one if which.  Just the other day, baby A did a flip and scared the crap out of me.  It felt so weird!

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked? or more than half baked?  I'm still in denial!

Bonus: Anyone have names picked out yet?   We weren;t planning on discussing names until January, but somehow we have narrowed them down to 2 of each.  William, Thomas, Rosalie and Sophia...  DH really wants the name Gunnar, but I just can't do it.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time?  Love Actually.  Not sure why, I just really enjoy it. Especially holiday time.

Our baby boy,Logan, was born still at 19w3d on 7/1/2011
Our 2nd baby boy, Mason, was born still at 20w3d on 1/31/2012

After a much needed sanity break... we are praying for our rainbows

  • How are you feeling this week? Feeling ok...finally I think after 18 weeks my nausea has gone away, unfortunately went to the dr last week and I have carpel tunnel in my right wrist from babies and now how to wear a brace pretty much all the time to prevent the pain but I just keep telling myself throughout this entire pregnancy "everything is temporary"....it seems to get me through the days

Any updates you want to share? At the anatomy scan last week the Dr. said he didn't get a good view of baby A's heart. Also, he is concerned that one is growing at a slower rate than the other. So he scheduled us to come back every two weeks. Good news is that I get to see them more often, but it could mean Dr may want to take them out sooner than expected. Praying all will be fine.

Vent Away: hmm....not much this week

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet? Not yet and I'm kinda bummed.....hoping I can soon!!!

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked? After talking with the Dr. last week and him mentioning just the possibility of them coming earlier I started to freak b/c I still have so much to do! I still haven't even finished my registry so I better get on it!

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet? I think we are going with Henry and Samuel....still working on middle names but those will most likely be the first names.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? @figgs0831 I too love Love Actually.....its my FAVORITE Christmas time movie and my husband actually enjoys watching it with me. There is a new movie coming out by the same creator I think called About Time and I really want to see that when it hits theaters

  • How are you feeling this week? Not bad, heartburn is getting worse, but to be expected

Any updates you want to share? Nothing new!

Vent Away: Was supposed to start progestrone last monday, but the pharmacy didnt get me the darn stuff until this past friday, so today is day one, just wish I could have stared when I was supposed to.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet?  Sometimes, I wish I felt them more! From what I understand the are facing each other, so they are probably feeling each other move around leaving mama out!

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked? Bittersweet, cant wait until D-Day, but want them to stay in as long as possible to be as healthy as possible at the same time.

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet?  DH is stubborn, wont discuss until Im in labor, If I had free reign it would be Harrison (Harry) and Henry (maybe nn Hank)

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? OOo tough one! There are so many! Ill narrow to three: Highlander, Shawshank Redemption and Pride and Prejudice (keira knightly version, although I HATE the end, that is one hot Darcy)

  • How are you feeling this week? Still tired, but I suppose I'll get used to it.  I've been resting a lot due to a cold that manifested last week and is still lingering.  I'm more achy than I have been in recent weeks, but that's to be expected.  I've also had a new thing pop up since my last update--My left outer thigh tingles and goes numb randomly throughout the day and night.  Nurse says it's just the way the babies are sitting but it makes things a bit difficult.

Any updates you want to share? Nothing more than previous question. :-)

Vent Away: Really no venting this week.  Hubby and I are really enjoying each other and family has calmed down.  Getting ready for Holiday Season.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet?  YES!  Hubby got to finally feel them on Friday night.  I was sitting down and everytime I took a deep breath, I could feel this little popping/click-click, so I called him over and told him to press down and he felt it too!  He was so excited!  I hope that was the start of much movement.

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked? I actually hadn't thought of it that way until I read this question.  I guess I'd better get with it and start putting stuff on our registry!  Yikes!

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet?  We have a few that are forerunners, but we don't want to get excited about them until we know for sure what the genders are.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? Well . . . Love Actually is definitely on the top of my list and I've recently told Hubby that I want him to watch it with me, but I think my favorite of all time is It's a Wonderful Life.  That movie always makes me smile and gives me a sense of hope.

  • How are you feeling this week? Good; happy & healthy.

Any updates you want to share? I am going to Colorado on Wednesday and get to hang out with my mom, sister, and niece for 5 days!!

Vent Away: No vents this week!

Are you feeling them yet? YES! All the time!  Not kicking/punching (though we felt one of them doing it once!), but fluttering/moving around :)  I am in love.

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked?  I am almost there, about a week and a half away from being halfway through.  It is crazy how fast it is going by.  But so much fun because strangers are finally mentioning that I am pregnant (so now I know I look it and not just chunky)

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet? We picked out our top two girl names, but nothing on the boy front yet.  We are waiting until our Dec. AS appt to talk about it more.  What do you ladies think about Ellie & Kinley?

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? Now & Then.  I freaking love that movie.

  • How are you feeling this week?

I got an icky cold last week, which was tough. I kept working through it, and was pretty wiped out by the end of the week. I feel like it is still lingering, and I a ready for it to go! I had some moments of nausea and threw up a few times, but nothing big. That is a huge improvement for me!

Any updates you want to share?

We saw the boys last week and they looked great! They are 7 oz each!

    Vent Away:

Hmmm...sometimes I just worry more, which I know is normal. I am a FTM, and I worry about something happening to me, or my husband, or of course the boys. I need to just try to relax and enjoy the process. I can't control the future!

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet?

In the morning, when I press sleep on the alarm, and I am really still, I can feel them! I love it!

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked?

Ah! My husband brought that up this week! It is exciting, and yet unsettling!

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet?

One name was picked long ago! My husband is a 4th, so the firstborn boy will be the fifth, but we will call him Quinitn (which is my family name and of course means 5!). People know that name, and they are REALLY annoying about it. We have both been told that we "can't name one twin that, then the other will get a complex." I am pretty sure we could name them Pineapple Upside Down Cake if we wanted to! THe name is a BIG name, and kind of weird, but it is important to us, and we are doing it! The other name is going to have to have a good weight to it though!

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time?

Fun! I love the Love Actually talk! That one is SO great! I also love all of the Lord of the Rings movies. I have a special place in my heart for Jurassic Park! These boys are going to have lots of dino things (I am a science teacher ;-) )

    Happy monday!

  • figgs0831 You will be in my T&P the next couple weeks.  I am glad you have a great doctor that told you to slow down!  What does your MBR consist of?  Just taking those days of work and staying home?  LOVE the names.

jagarner81 I like your names A LOT.  They seem like strong names to me.  You have such a great attitude about everything, good for you.  Keep us updated on those little nuggets, please!

ckred27 that's super cute they are facing eachother.  Love it.  I like the names you picked out too!

kbatchetee So fun that DH was able to feel them too!  After mine felt them he always touches my belly when I walk by him.  I think it helped him feel involved.  Ugh, that must be so annoying to lose feeling in your leg randomly!  I hope that goes away sooner than later for you.

  • How are you feeling this week? Like I got hit by a bus. Sleeping is getting harder and some of my maternity clothes are fitting really uncomfortably (don't sit high or low enough on the belly..)

Any updates you want to share? Our firts purchase for baby is a stroller! I posted about it on the Multiples board

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet?  Occasional rolls. I wasn't sure it was baby movement until I felt it and saw it simultaneously on the U/S screen last week. No kicks yet and nothing detectible from the outside. Hopefully soon!

how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked? Super excited! Counting down is more excitin than counting up. ~ 4 months left!

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet?  We are 90% on Sasha. Maybe Sasha Claire (Claire is a family name), but no second name picked. I love Sofie, but worry it's too popular (Sophia is #1 in my state...) I think Sasha and Sophie sound great together, but I also have reservations about them starting with the same letter. Is that weird? I don't know if I want them to have the same initials. We're also stumped on a 2nd family name. We want them either to both have one or neither, but there aren't alot of names in the family tree that we just love and some of our favorite family members have atrocious names ;) Good thing we have plenty of time to decide.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? Princess Bride, Ever After and What About Bob are a few I can watch over and over and not get tired of. Sounds like I need to check out Love Actually since I haven't seen it ;)

  • How are you feeling this week? Great- no complaints.  I am starting to get big which is weird but it's better than just looking chubby!

Any updates you want to share? Last week we found out we are team purple.

Vent Away: I have to teach a new hire training course for 3 days out of town.  My work is putting me up in a hotel and I have all the curriculum but it's a lot for a pregnant woman.  Hopefully I can give all these new hires are great experience (they are coming from around the world).

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet? I just started feeling little kicks.  I love them.

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked? I'm trying to enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible but I can't wait to be holding these little guys in my arms. Time sure flies!

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet? Nothing set in stone but we have ideas.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? There are too many to name... a few are Lion King, Forest Gump, the Italian Job, the Fast and the Furious franchise (I like cheesy action movies)

  • Hey ladies :-)

How are you feeling this week?

I'm feeling ok. Tired but ok.

Any updates you want to share?

Hoping for some good news on Wednesday. Baby A has still has a cyst below his stomach that we are watching. The MFM says she couldn't get a clear view of Baby A's heart so we have to see a pediatric cardiologist on Wednesday. I kind of feel like something is wrong and the MFM wanted to be sure. :-(  In addition to that both babies have a Velamentous Cord Insertion which means their cords didn't insert in the center of the placenta as it should have. (heres the medical definition:  A velamentous umbilical cord is characterized by membranous umbilical vessels at the placental insertion site; the remainder of the cord is usually normal. Membranous vessels can also arise as aberrant branches of a marginally inserted umbilical cord or they can connect lobes of a bilobed placenta or the placenta and a succenturiate lobe. Because of the lack of protection from Wharton’s jelly, these vessels are prone to compression and rupture, especially when they are located in the membranes covering the cervical os (ie, vasa previa)

I opted for a C-section anyway but now there's no choice and there's no going past 35 weeks because if I were to go into labor on my own the chance of the babies have a slim chance of surviving and so do I, dependent upon how quickly we could get to the hospital.  And both babies have high volumes of amniotic fluid in their sacs. MFM doc said nothing to be concerned, its on the higher end of the normal range.

    Vent Away

I just want my little guys to be ok.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet?

Yes I feel them all the time and its amazing :-) Although I haven't been able to feel them on my stomach yet so that means DH hasn't either. I really look forward when he can feel them too!!

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked?

I want to get to 24 weeks (Dec 8th) so the babies are viable, then my goal is to make to at least 34!!! I'm excited to be almost to my first goal!!

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet?

We are having boys and naming them Jaxon Troy and Chase Melvin. Both middle names are after our fathers. My dad (Troy) passed away last year so I'm happy to be able to carry his name on.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time?

The Wizard of OZ.......I know its a childhood movie but I still watch it when it comes on and my brother got me this really awesome dvd collectors set with all of these really cool books and a watch!! I'm huge nerd!! LOL :-) And I'm seeing Wicked for the third time next month! Love it!! :-)

But for an adult movie, maybe......Stepbrothers. And I say that because I can watch it any time it comes on, commercials or not and its always hilarious!!!

  • @tiffy81 I'm sorry things are scary right now. I'm hoping the cardiologist has great news for you and can put your mind at ease ASAP. I'll be sending you "healthy heart" thoughts on Wednesday, let us know how it goes!

  • @LittleLady77  Thanks so much :-) I'm trying not to freak out and stay positive. Luckily I see my doctors every week for the next three weeks so at least I will have weekly updates. I will keep you ladies in the loop!!!

  • @tiffy81 yes, keep us in the loop! T&P's everything turns out great!

@figgs0831 sorry you are on MBR, crazy how you go from normal to feeling so much more restricted huh?
  • How are you feeling this week? Stressed, I haven't had a good nights sleep because my mind and heart is always racing.

Any updates you want to share? Last weeks 3D u/s was great, it's always so good to see my girls!

Vent Away: I know money doesn't matter and we're doing just fine but when my DH works 100 hour work weeks I don't even want to buy baby stuff and find myself post poning grocery shopping. I just need to stop stressing, it's not good.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet? Yes! All the time, DH loves feeling them when he gets the chance. Baby B is a little show off ;)

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked? or more than half baked?
It feels nice in some regards, now I am trying to get registered for everything and tell people when to throw the showers. I'll try to have them all in January since I will be 28 weeks on January 8th.

Bonus: Anyone have names picked out yet? We're still deciding but DH is set on Mayleigh Ava (baby A) and Macie Brae (baby B)

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? The holiday, I love it. I love any musical as well, oldies and newbies) Especially nightmare before x-mas and moulin rouge. :)
  • @jagarne81 Ouch for the carpel tunnel.  I have this when not pregnant, so I feel your pain.  I'm so glad that your doctor is monitoring you more closely.  Here's to praying that one of the babies catches up on growth.  Did he mention how much slower one was growing? And aww... I love the name Samuel!

@ckred27 I wouldn't worry too much about the progesterone shot.  One week won't make too much of a difference.  I was supposed to start at 15 weeks and didn't end up starting until 16w4d.  I too can not wait until v-day.  It will be here before we know it!!!  I'm shocked your DH doesn't want to discuss until labor.  That will be rough.  I'm sure he will change his mind once you are further along.

Our baby boy,Logan, was born still at 19w3d on 7/1/2011
Our 2nd baby boy, Mason, was born still at 20w3d on 1/31/2012

    ((BFP 7/29/13))  ((EDD 4/12/14))  It's BOY/GIRL twins!!!

  • @kbatchetee The tingling and numbness sounds fun... I had this with my hands not that long ago.  Did they tell you how to ease it?  How exciting that your DH got to feel the babies!!!  I always love watching my DH's face when it happens.  He looks so shocked, yet proud.  And don't feel bad about the registry.  I haven't started mine yet either.

@katiegummow Haev fun in Colorado!!!  Glad everything is well and babies are moving away.  I bet you by next week you will feel the difference in the kicks and jabs.  I went from flutters to jabs overnight.  And... I LOVE your names.  Kinley and Ellie are perfect!

Our baby boy,Logan, was born still at 19w3d on 7/1/2011

  • @figgs0831 They told me to switch positions to see if the babies would move off of whatever they're on.  So far that has been a hit and miss suggestion.  DH was talking to my belly again last night and was lightly pressing and all of a sudden his face lit up and his eyes got wide.  He was able to feel them again.  He's so cute when it happens.  I teared up a bit because he looked so happy.  I can't wait until it's a regular occurrence for him and me.

Is anyone feeling crazy possessive of the DH/SO?  I've got these crazy urges to be next to him constantly and have turned in to quite the cuddle-bug!  DH told me that he read that it was normal for me to experience an increase in "bonding" because I'm trying to make sure that I don't end up alone to raise the babies.  I just hadn't read this anywhere.

@tiffy81 Keep us posted on your progress.  You'll be in my prayers.  Sending happy thoughts your way.

  • @kdarden15 I hope your cold goes away soon!  And unfortunately the worry doesn't ever really go away.  You just have to live day by day and hope for the best.  So glad to hear those babies are doing so well!  And Quintin is an awesome name!

@katiegummow My MBR is basically no unneccesary walknig or standing.  I go to work and sit, come home and sit, sit in the shower.... I gave up food shopping and vacuuming and my DH has taken on more cooking responsibility.  Until I'm fully off of my feet, I will only cook on my days off work and will try to dust or fold some clothes as my chores.  he will do all the rest.  It is all just precautionary since I'm in my danger zone from previous losses.

@zazu13 I am having that same damn issue with my maternity pants.  When I sit, I feel that the seem digs into my lower belly making it really uncomfortable. Yay for buying a stroller!!!  Sophia is one of out top choices too... but in NY it is also a top name.  We are still considering other options.

  • @maitaibeth Yay for team pink!!!!!! Registries are the worst.  There is so much to choose from.  Whenever we decide to start, I'm scared to see what we will come up with.  And I love the names... they are different!

@littlelady77 Team purple is awesome and yay for kicks!  That feeling will never get old. Good luck with your training course!  Presenting while pregnant has to be miserable.

@tiffy81 I'm so sorry to hear about your recent struggles with the boys.  Praying that all turns out OK.  In my previous pregnancy, I had a velamentous cord.  It actually came out of the side of the placenta.  We didn't know until after.  I'm so glad your doctors caught it and can keep an eye on it.  From my understanding it is not dangerous until you are closer to delivery.  But, since they are monitoring you and taking the babies out early, I'm sure your little ones will be great!

  • @nessabeers Sorry to hear about your stress.  Have you talked with your doctor about it? Are you drinking enough water?  I get the racey heart when I am dehydrated.    The 3D ultrasounds creep me out, but are so neat at the same time.  lol  And... I know I've told you before, but I love your names too!!!

Also, going from normal activity to restrictions is harder than I thought it would be.  The doctor blindsided me at my appointment.  We were not prepared for it.

Our baby boy,Logan, was born still at 19w3d on 7/1/2011
Our 2nd baby boy, Mason, was born still at 20w3d on 1/31/2012

I'm all over my DH at the moment.  I guess it is true about the bonding.  I just need to have him near.  It actually calms me when he is close.

@ckred27 The shots have been fine.  I was so used to shooting myself in the butt from IVF that I don't even feel it anymore.  My only complaint is that for days after, the injection site has been really itchy and annoying.  That surprised me.  I never experienced that feeling before.

All over him is an understatement!  :)  He says he doesn't mind.  He told me last night that he's going to enjoy it while it lasts!  And I feel you on the calmness.  I tried to explain it to him, but I'm not sure he got it.  All he has to do is put his hand on me and I instantly relax and can fall asleep in a matter of minutes.  Otherwise, I'm tossing and turning.  Our bodies are completely amazing!

  • How are you feeling this week?  Not bad, better than last week, though I get uncomfortable easily.

Any updates you want to share?  We need to update me to TEAM PURPLE!  A is a girl & B is a boy :)

Vent Away:  None really.  Still irritated at my mom for not being the support I need and for causing drama with the baby showers.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet? Yes for maybe 1.5 weeks now.  I can't wait for DH to feel them.

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked?  It's exciting and scary at the same time.  I feel behind, although there really isnt anything that should be done by now that's not.

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet? We've started some lists.  Our middle names are set as they're family names.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time?  Jurassic park :)  I'm surprised I'm not the first one to mention it.

  • How are you feeling this week? Pregnancy wise doing ok.  The other night I was up with terrible back pain...at least Duck Dynasty and Golden Girls are on in the middle of the night.  It's getting REALLY hard to bend over and tie my shoes...lol.

Any updates you want to share? I head to the Dr today for a follow up and won't get my 2nd level ultrasound for another 2 weeks.  It's driving me crazy that I have to wait so long!

Vent Away: I'm completely overwhelmed because we are putting our house on the market this week.  I'm trying to do as much cleaning and moving as I can, but it's def not as much as I use to be able to do.  I broke down in tears last night and my husband felt bad for me.  He said I just need to rest and be the boss and tell him what to do.  I just adore him.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet? Oh yes...some days they are just moving all over the place....some days they are more quiet.  They are active in the middle of the night when I have my back pain tho...lol.  At least they can keep me company!

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked? or more than half baked?  I'm so excited....and nervous....and anxious!  We've been waiting for quite some time for these little miracles!

Bonus: Anyone have names picked out yet? None yet...waiting to find out genders and then we will discuss away!

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time?  Hmm....I love the movie *61.....I also love The Crow!!

  • Thanks Ladies for all the T&Ps and good vibes you're sending!! We go the cardiologist tomorrow and hoping for some good news :-)

I love all of the GTKY questions and answers :-) And I love even more that we are all half way there!!! Its amazing and scary all at the same time!!
  • @tiffy81 sending you and the boys healthy vibes!!!!

@sweett1998 I had my husband tie my shoes the other day so I didn't have to bend over, I feel your pain :)

@figgs0831 arm is doing better with the brace so thats good, and one baby is a whole week behind the other. My regular OB doesn't seem worried but the Dr at the ultrasound place wants to keep monitoring closely so we will see....I'll keep ya'll posted
  • This carpal tunnel is AWFUL!! I bought two braces today, one for day time and there was a nighttime/sleep one. I had with my DD but it wasn't nearly this bad!!! I hope all of us can get some relief shortly after our little ones arrive :-)
  • How are you feeling this week?
    Just sleeeeepy. 18w tomorrow!!

Any updates you want to share?
MFM tomorrow. A/S. (We know we are team purple already)

    Vent Away:
    Nothing right now.

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet?
Not really. I've felt a few kicks at night, but only know it bc I have 6 other kids and have done this before. Hoping to feel some soon!

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked? or more than half baked?
Our goal is at LEAST 34w but MFM goal is 35. Which 35-36 would be great. I grow big babies, so all of mine delivered 35-37.

Bonus: Anyone have names picked out yet?
As of last night, I think so.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time?
I don't have one. And I've never heard of or seen 'Love Actually' LOL

Thanks@figgs0831 I didn't talk to her about it last time because I was doing really good that day but I will for sure talk to her about it at next week's appointment. I always have a water bottle with me or next to me in bed (darn cotton mouth!) so I think I'm hydrated but way good to know and remind myself! I think a heating pad may be my next route to help relax me, as well as breathing exercises. Having asthma and heart palpitations probably don't help my cause.

Ha the 3D's can get pretty creepy! I'm sorry you were blindsided :( but glad it's not bed rest full time! Fx we'll all be able to stay somewhat mobile. Just those 3 days of BR back in week 12 I had was killer.

  • @kdarden15 we should be. I had planned to talk dh into a dino nursery if we were team blue.

  • How are you feeling this week? Feeling pretty good. Tired. But that's not unusual!

Any updates you want to share? Nothing big going on this week.

Vent Away: No vents right now!

Lets talk baby movement... Are you feeling them yet? I'm pretty sure I'm feeling movement. But it's not consistent or strong.

Since 40 weeks is not in the cards for most of us... how does it feel to be half baked?  or more than half baked? I'm ALMOST half-baked. It's freaking me out a little. I've got the registry almost done, but nothing else really done yet.

Bonus:  Anyone have names picked out yet? No names yet.

GTKY: What is your favorite movie of all time? That's really hard. I don't know if I could pick one. I love the original Miracle on 34th Street and Sound of Music

  • Hey ladies!! Got great news today :-) Babies hearts look great!! Pediatric Cardiologist was awesome and the babies cooperated which was great!! Doc was pleased with how their hearts are developing. Yay!!

Velamentous cord insertion is still an issue but one of them is marginal so that is a little bit better. Extra monitoring which we were doing anyway is the plan. Then at 32 weeks we will do fetal monitoring twice a week and I'll be seeing both doctors weekly by then anyway. We go back to the cardiologist for a follow up in 8 weeks. We go back on 12/3 for another growth scan.

Baby A still has the cyst and it seems a little bigger every time we see it but we meet with the pediatric surgical team in early January to discuss the plan for his surgery. A little scary but I'm thankful that its a non vascular cyst and not a mass or something worse.

I'd like to thank all of you ladies for your good vibes and thoughts and prayers :-) It really means a lot!!
  • Well...so much for me helping with the move.  I ended up hurting myself ....injured a ligament under my belly I guess.  I'm wearing a nice maternity belt/binder thing which is actually pretty comfy.  I started getting really bad pain last night and ended up not being able to walk.  Today has been better but I've been laying in bed most of the day.  Dr. said this injury takes quite a while to heal...fun.

  • Sorry about your injury @sweett1998! Hope your recovery goes well. I just got a support belt that you can put these thermal pearls in it, cold or hot! I haven't used it yet but will very soon!! Hope your belt helps support you while you get better.
  • MFM update Today: Baby A has eccentric/marginal cord insertion. They don't seem concerned (yet?) but will be watching every two weeks. Just have to make sure A gets enough nutrition.
    Cervix was 3.8 (great!)
Blood clots at cervix (no problem)
I have an accessory lobe (placental). Again don't seem concerned.
That's all I know. I missed my OB appt this wk, going to reschedule tomorrow.
